The 2007 Chevy Trailblazer is back in the shop. This time it has no low beam head lights. The customer says it's not the bulbs. Also, he has some noise in the front end.
Part 2 here: • Chevy Trailblazer - No...
Part 1 here: • Chevy Silverado - Undo...

I had a bad relay in my Mazda, and I had the same thought, thankfully I was able to open up the relay and clean the gunk and put it back together. Popped it back into the car and works great. Saved me $25. 👍😁

The bolt-in bearings are so much easier to remove and install rather than press in and screwing around with the races and preload. Only downside is some of them don't come with the abs wheel speed sensor. They get destroyed alot when you try and remove them so it was nice the new hub came with one. The relay swap trick is one I always use to check them quick when you have 'like' ones to check it with. Great video bro!.

Another great vid from Mr. Wes. If you've ever spent a month in the U.S. Coast Guard as a non Aviation non rate there's definitely a serious chance you've had an up close and personal relationship with a needle gun. Thankfully, I was an AD3 Aviation Machinist Mate. Never got near one but I sure heard some horror stories. They'd even use them to chip inches of ice off Cutters and other boats, docks and such. Before I put my Chevron on ass AN I did have to chip ice outta the 60 foot tall wooden WW II era hanger doors up at Airstation Traverse City Michigan. Ooh joy. Yup, even after I did put it on I still had to do it after the blizzard of 1978. We got 16 foot snowdrifts against those doors. Took two days to clear them. All hands on deck.

My '04 Bravada had very similar headlight problems (they would sometimes randomly go off and then come back on). I didn't know about the TSB so ended up purchasing my new relay (it was a tad over 40 dollars, wow). My old relay, if scrutinized, barely looked slightly bulging (thinking it over-heated over time, then failed). I didn't do the shown diagnosis, merely swapped high beam with low beam relay until the replacement was installed.

WES.. if you still have the trail blazer.. @2:33 there are 3 connectors on the forward side of the fuse box. the bolt holding the cable down from the battery.. a stud in the middle probably to the alternator.. and a stud n the left.. can you do me a 15 cent favor.. put a Flange nut on the far left stud.. it has a stud sticking up thru the backing plate.. and going thru a ring terminal that feeds some of the fuses in the fuse box. don't believe me.. when you get the headlights fixed... run a voltage drop test with as much stuff on as you can get... between the bare 6mm stud and the ring terminal around it going into the fuse box.. voltage drop should be 0.00 Vdc. 98 and 99 S10 pickups have the same issue.. a missing flange nut..
