Ingredients:
1 cup salted butter, softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
birthday sprinkles or nonpareils
Directions:
To a bowl, add in the butter and sugar. Mix until creamy. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth. Lastly, add in all of the dry ingredients. Mix until combined, scraping the bowl as needed.
Using a 2 tbsps worth size cookie scooper, scoop out some dough and roll it into a ball with your hands. Press the cookie dough ball into a bed of sprinkles thoroughly coating one side and flattening the cookie down to half an inch thick.
Place your flattened cookie dough onto a parchment lined baking sheet, spacing at least 3 inches apart. These cookies will spread during the baking process. Into a preheated oven at 400 degrees for 8 - 12 minutes until the cookies have spread, are puffed slightly and do not look wet.
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 1-2 minutes before moving to a cooling rack. Enjoy!
