A grilled cheese sandwich is cheese ONLY. Having ham on it makes it a ham & cheese sandwich. Duh.

christansdad from internet source defining what makes a grilled cheese: “It is sometimes combined with an additional ingredient such as peppers, tomatoes, or onions (Or in this case brisket). Several different methods of heating the sandwich are used, depending on the region and personal preference.” So, a grilled cheese is not just cheese by definition.
