I live in southern New Mexico where the population is very very Mexican and I see people from Mexico basically shitting on this country all the time - no regard for its laws or statutes at all!!!! The comment section is WILD... Don't some other nationalities do the same like the Polish? What about other celebrations that showcase flags like St. Patrick's or Cinco de Mayo? With that said me being a Mexican born and raised living in México if this is not regulated or has permits by local authorities and it's just random people going crazy on the street causing road closures and chaos I don't agree, that's not the way to do it... Celebrate El Grito in the comfort of your home/locally organized community with food, family and friends maybe even invite your neighbors to the carne asada... Our Independence Day here in the United States of America, which mine and others colonial ancestors fought for is July 4, 1776. That is when we gained Independence from British colonial rule. September 16, 1810 is Mexico's Day of Independence from Spanish colonial rule. A country's Independence Day is affiliated with that country, you don't celebrate it in other countries that already have their Independence Day. That is disrespectful to all of those that fought for Independence and their descendants.

Considering many Mexican stayed in their lands after the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo that ceded the southwest and subsequent racism force them to keep their Hispanic identity, it’s no surprise that from the southwest on outward, Mexican culture spread to the rest of the states.

When you look at the progressive advancements happening in Mexico compared to the current state of the U.S., the contrast becomes clear. Mexico could very well become the new face of the free world, a powerhouse. In contrast, the U.S. risks being left in the past. Plus, mexico is friends with all nations, while the USA has more enemies than one can count.

I am a resident here . Tonight I endured 8 hours of non stop ,air horns , screaming , chanting echoing across the river , Last year I had to pay 130.. to park my car a BLOCK away from my own residence with parking I already pay 400 a month for ..I showed my iID and the police sergeant himself apologized and said they could not let me or anyone in . He kindly walked me home ,.This year I stayed home the entire weekend for fear of this happening again . This is horrible . We do not go into their neighborhoods and disrupt their lives being disrespectful ,inconsiderate and obnoxious.

@freshkode1 NO, because we're talking about ethnicity, NOT nationality. There's St. Patrick's Day, celebrating Irish Heritage and Columbus Day, celebrating Italian Heritage and so forth. In America, Mexican is considered Latin or Hispanic. We have Puerto Rican Day and even Hispanic Month. It should be titled Mexican Heritage Day. PERIOD. We are Americans from many ethnicities, but as Americans, we celebrate the Independence of our country, and that is July 4th! Independence Day. Mexico can celebrate its independence in Mexico. @@SenorGuzman32 I was already said what I wanted to say as an American who love and proud of my flag and my country and I'm sure that majority of Americans have the same view point as my. Thai heritage is not boring if you travel to the different parts of Thailand, they even have their own dialogues and cultures etc. Thai cuisine is one of the best in the world and they've different kind of fruits throughout the year. Thai is also a beautiful language, it has five different sounds, each sound has different meaning and they also have their own alphabets invented by a Thai's ancient king so the word boring is not a definition of thai heritage and I'm just gonna leave it right there.

I feel you, I live in Aurora it's totally obnoxious! 100's of cars circling the downtown streets doing burnouts? The local PD just blocks the intersections and let it happen until midnight, then the squad cars turn on their lights. I'm a black Chicagoan , I went to Farragut high school in 1964, back then white people would not allow us on 26th street ,we surely couldn't eat at any restaurants, we would work up the nerve to go up on 26th street sneak into Wiebolts store for a slice of pizza, but we had to leave, asap , For me watching these people hold parades for Mexican independence day , is an insult as well as hurtful , knowing what we as young teen blacks just going to school in the area had to go through , Sad 😢
