honestly, horror movies made back then are so much better than the ones made now thanks to the practical effects. Like, yea it may look a little silly at times, but most horror movies now use CGI and honestly, the CGI just makes it look even faker in my opinion. to me, it always looks like real people inside a video game😭and thanks to the low definition in older movies, it makes it much scarier cuz not everything is crystal clear like how it is in high def. i kinda wish that horror movies today would sometimes use the lower definition

Soon to be turning 35 years old on November 9th, this year. Way back when studios were trying to make that next, new horror character. Child's Play was one of the most creative concepts of the era. Mixing the supernatural with mystery and suspense while still keeping the slasher feel. Brad Dourif in his performances as Chucky, from human to doll and through every installment has been incredible. I liked the first film and the 3 sequels that followed. After those, i was done with watching the franchise. It got a little too convoluted with the multiple continunities. Parts 2-4, 6 and 7 were from Universal Pictures. Of course, The Universal Monsters' legacy is a whole other success. But in the time that the franchise was with the studio, Chucky was made an honorary Universal monster. Fright Night (1985) is another classic by writer/director Tom Holland. His debut as an filmmaker and a fan-favorite vampire movie, prior to Joel Schumacher's The Lost Boys (1987).

The look of the Good Guy/ Chucky doll is based on the real life 80s doll My Little Buddy. And yep it was popular and did cost a good penny. I never had one, but then o didn't want one either. Not because they were creepy, but because GI JOE & TRANSFORMERS was my thing. To day the craze is games, back then the craze was toys.
