This high key triggered me!!! 😭 The amount of times I’ve had to deal with racist encounters or comments about me working in retail or food and being here instead of pursuing something “bigger”…. mind you they don’t know anything about me. I just let them assume what they wanna assume bc it’s not my responsibility to explain my plans (to a stranger at that) and don’t get me started about the management

Worked at a Nordstrom Rack and have similar stories. The woman complained about their husbands while spending 600 plus dollars. The white men gave a lot of compliments with sexual undertones. Believe it or not most of the issues came from people of “color” that don’t like us “black” folks😂 Overall most customers were great. If you truly want to be humbled get a customer service job😂

I worked at party city and I enjoyed it until we switched managers. The location was small, but for some reason everyone was ALWAYS throwing a party so the line was wrapping around the store. The original manager would always come out when we were busy and open a second register. One time, the new manager was small talking people on the line for about 7 minutes. He practically SPRINTED for his office when he heard everyone on the line complaining about the wait and I yelled out to him “Hey, could you open a second register or blow up some balloons to get these people out faster” he walks up to me and whispers “there’s some really important paperwork that needs to get done”. I gave him the most DISGUSTED look I could muster and he walked away and the line got quiet when they realized we were refused help. That was the most I’ve been offered tips for a store with no tip jar

@@nisiajay3713 just the summer, so like 2-3 months. I only had to work with him for like 2weeks and I only saw him twice. That being the first time I ever saw him 😂

I could be wrong, but the story and the guy and wax....it kinda sounded like he was just overly nervous about his procedure and the idea of being wax down there. Ofc, I was there, but some of those older men like to tell their entire life story and ramble

Before you get into the story time…I think was Cheesecake Factory simply because the restaurant business is hard and folks are a trip when it comes to food! Trust me I know my wife and I used to own a soul food restaurant and whewwwww chhilllllld the stories and things folks do and say about their food!😂😂😂😂
