Chivalry 2 (PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S/One) is a medieval fighting sim with massive multiplayer battles. How is it? Let's talk. Subscribe for more: ru-vid.com?su...
I saw an enemy in the middle of the road with no weapons and so I put mine away and we fist fought in the middle of the street with nobody interrupting us 10/10
I literally witness a guy in a middle of the battle playing a lyre and no one was harming him, everyone just kept on battling to the song he's playing.. I love the community 😂😂
My only issue is that he said this for Chivalry but for Biomutant the exact same phrase could be said, but in the last video he hazed it the whole time 🤣 Much of the community feels the reviewers overlooked the group of people that enjoy those types of games. I enjoy both games for their own reason, but the fan factor is a key part of reviews.
@@codychurchill2172 I suppose thats because they have a different standard for rpgs, where the story is emphasized more for the fun factor rather than just swinging your sword and killing others for fun.
I haven't played this one yet, but the first Chivalry had some pretty great voice taunts. I used to love screaming "no, please!", blocking all of their attacks and then hacking their head off.
Nah, I think you could get to this level decently easy. It's just the 2000hour rule. practice makes perfect etc etc EDIT: I guess this is super complicated so i'll be anecdotal. played halo 1 a lot, was good at halo 2 without playing much.
Chivalry 2 is an absolute gem, and this year will be a great year for the game. The developers still push out updates and limited time modes, the gore and sounds are top notch, the voicelines are both funny and awe inspiring, and the map designs are really immersive at times. It's such an underrated game and deserves a lot more attention than it gets. 11/10 for sure.
I installed it two days ago, already played around 5 hours... And I must agree, this game is huge fun!! The only thing I don't like is not being able to change the language entirely, it sets it automatically to your console's default.
This game is easy to learn and hard to master sometimes you really do encounter someone who is just more skillful and the duels that can come from that are amazing. Damn good game.
Chivalry 1 was my most played game of all time, still is, my utter baby, Then they released mirage which nobody was asking for, at all. Seems like they've completely flipped their attitude to their community also, chiv 2 is amazing, ive dropped mordhau to come back to chiv and its well worth it.
Ive never played chivalry 1 but I play a lot of mordhau and I've got to saw that chivalry 2 is far better then mordhau, fights actually looks like fights in this game not dancing messes
One of my favorite aspects about the game is how the devs encourage you to role-play with the voice command/emote wheel lol. Voice chats are gonna be crazy when more people start playing the game haha
I just wanna say this for everyone, in a team fight with teammates close by USE STABS AND OVERHEADS theres more moves than just slashing. God knows how many times I've been bashed in the back of the head by teammates.
I’ve got 250+ hours on Mordhau and so far I gotta say that I am loving this game. Mordhau has become so sweaty and filled with so many let’s say ‘questionable’ weapon manipulation that this just provides something really refreshing. Definitely can be a great contender if the devs continue to support the game throughout the years.
360s are more a thing in chiv2 than in mordhau tbh... also 250h in Mordhau is ... nothing! He probalby hasn't reached a level where those ‘questionable’ weapon manipulation things are more fun than a problem. But that is also not a good selling point for mordhau at all.
Well, I guess it's time for me to become my digital-medieval persona once again: Sir Robin, the Not-Quite-So-Brave-as-Sir-Lancelot, who had nearly fought the Dragon of Angnor, who nearly stood up to the vicious Chicken of Bristol and who had personally wet himself at the Battle of Badon Hill.
The attention to detail is nuts. The way he used the pummel of the sword is accurate. Some long swords and others were made to be used like a mace as well and required I'm sure extensive training to learn the proper techniques for weilding weapons like that
The game is just too awesome. Community is also so great. Gotta admit, I had 1 game full of toxic players, but after a few hours. I decided to play again, and man, I had never had so much fun experience in a game before, not just because of the gameplay, but mostly because of the community. The people were so great. And I gotta say, the game is so much fun. Way better than Mordau. But man, the community was just awesome. Everyone kind to eachother, everyone had fun. Some players just bowing to me and not killing me xD. Whoever is reading is, you need to try the game, no joke. I don't regret buying this.
Mordhau was a cool in between game from Chivalry 1 to Chivalry 2. The problem was how hard the learning curve and meta influences were. This looks like genuine FUN for all
Been playing it on my PS5 and fell in love with it straight away, never had a chance to play a game like this before and it's just a good change for those that want something different from typical FPS games. 10/10 recommend
If you can get past the slow AND poor animations, sluggish gameplay and awful overall objectives, yeah. I feel sorry for those who pay more than 10 bucks
I'm having a really good time with this game. There are some issues with party making where the game literally won't send party invites without everyone restarting the game. I also hope we get more maps as time goes on as it does feel like it could get old quick with how few there are right now. But overall, the gameplay is fun and I can't get enough of it.
Please don’t listen to the haters you will miss out on one of the best games I’ve played in the last three years it is amazing I’m still playing it almost a year later the content that they keep adding is amazing please don’t let no one convince you try it for yourself
This is honestly one of the best games I’ve played in a really long time , me and my friends have such a blast getting lost in the medieval battles it’s so good
I bought this game on the recommendation of a friend. It's a lot of casual fun with decent strategy and gameplay that's hard to master because of the chaos of it all. It'd compare it to Battlefield meets Battlefront (heroes mode) meets For Honour. Big team battles with sword fighting that's easy to pick up, but hard to master. I like that you can "feint" by switching your attacks mid-way through, and how there are several types of blocking all with their own advantage. The fights where you get outnumbered and actually win are exhilerating. And the mini modes are decent at keeping the swarms of combatants together. If you're looking for a pallet cleanser, this is it.
I don’t know if the lobby I was with all night contributed but I bought it last night and it’s honestly the most fun I’ve had with a game in YEARS. From actual exciting combat moments to just memeing around with everyone. It’s got enough for the time being but I would love to see more unique sieges, which they probably will add with time. Maybe also a bit better of a auto balancing; like taking volunteers with a offer of extra match xp before just forcing someone to swap. Feels bad making a huge play on the objective just to get swapped and pretty much screwed yourself.
Perhaps for console players where AAA games are the standard shoved down your throat, but I feel like PC has had the "flee market" vibe for years now where you can find just about anything and everything of all genres with communities to boot. And this is coming from someone who spent a decade wasting money buying tons of full-price titles on my xbox 360/One, so I do know the pain.
@@sirshrooma Yeah it's changing slowly though with games like Rust, Green Hell, Flight Simulator 2020 coming to consoles alot more coming aswell. The gap between PC and Comsole is not so big anymore and these titles are selling so it wont stop.
Super fun and it really does have so much potential. If there could be more organization/cordination within a team the battles could be really intense.
Completely agree Jake. I am an adrenalin gamer who jumps on for a few hours for a blast and then im done. This game is perfect for that. Have a shit day at work then pop this on, smash some players up for an hour or so, feel better, then do something else. I love this game on PS5. I just hope they dont start adding pay to win OP weapons etc to make it unbalanced.
They didn’t do that in Chiv 1 and everything paid is cosmetics you can unlock by playing anyway. I hope they do paid full expansions with more maps, modes or classes though.
As a dad with a full time job, this is the perfect game for me, I started playing it two days ago and had loads of fun, can’t wait to get an hour of free time to play it. Someone threw a stuffed bear at me and killed me yesterday.
This was a really helpful Before You Buy. I was on the fence about this game because of Mordhau. It was just to serious for what i was looking for. I think this looks like a much better fit. Thanks Jake!!!
@@laughs150 disagreed, I got the game on March, I'm now rank 70 and can hold my own against level 300+ players, even made some ragequit sometimes, granted I did own chivalry 1 and mordhau which i played for 350 and 220 hours respectively, but still you can improve over time and get good
@@LKeyYT i guess i left the most important part i play on console and it blows. Anyway its from my experience. Without a doubt people enjoy it the aspect of the game is cool. Just from reading reviews tho im not the only person from console that has this view.
This game is less than 40$, while Cyberpunk was 60$ and copy and paste AAA sports games are now 70$….these developers deserve our business on that basis alone. But just to reiterate what this man said, this game is AMAZING and super addictive. I love it!
8:00 can’t wait for Voice chat to be inserted into the game so it can be play seriously, Insert holdfast meme. Trust me if there is in game voice chat it will be just like holdfast voice chat.
Definitely needs this, also just some one on one or smaller teams tourneys so you don't keep shot by archers in the middle of a good fight. This game is awesome!!
This game has a ton of great bones and core features. If the developers regularly update, it could really be a masterpiece. I’m already hooked after a day!
It's definitely time for re look at the game.. there's a bunch of new maps, modes and things of all sorts. If someone sees this video, and doesn't know there's alot of new stuff, it could be a factor
im really on the fence about it. I tried banner lords multiplayer and I got hooked to the style. I'm wanting something where I can just jump in. this looks like it.
I got this game at launch and I've been having a complete blast. I personally like it when you have to take or defend a bridge or a chokepoint the chaos, blood, and clashing metal is so awesome.
KC:D tried to be as realistic as possible. The result was great albeit clunky at times (especially against multiple foes). Chivarly is just mindless fun with No real intent to be realistic. I get what you are saying although I am happy we have both titles, each with their own play style.
one of my favourite things so far in chivalry 2 is that if you're using the "squire boy" and are on a killstreak, he'll scream "IT'S MY FIRST DAY!!!" 😂
The skill gap seems relatively low, not much you need to learn other than swinging your sword and blocking at the right time lol. You'd have to have a really small brain to not get it in the first few hours.
Game is def worth it on sale. Been playing it for three months and it’s great. Lots of content has been added since launch and they still update the game every couple of months. Full crossplay parties is coming next I think. Def recommend if you’re on PC, series X/S, or PS5. From the gameplay I’ve seen on old gen it runs at or below 30fps as expected. Other than that, the game is a blast, I hope they keep on adding maps/weapons.
I played a good bit of mordhau, the only turn off for me and my friend was the matchmaking. It was hard for us to learn because of how we constantly got matched with higher levels. So I definitely will be pitching this one to him and giving it a shot
I sat on the big rock throne in one of the castles as an entire war was happening in the throne room, one of the enemies came up to me and stared and i used the "yer mum" chat and said "Give it the best you got. I won't just lay down and take it, like yer mum" he walked away, that's enough to buy it.
I’m glad they finally have a game where when you swing the sword it hits where you swing your body because most games I do it just out of instinct and it doesn’t make any difference 😩
Played it last night on my roommates console and its fun! There is a lot of room for growth and potential, like you said with the more maps/modes, cosmetics, etc, tons of room for more of that stuff which i hope they implement! I think a few tweeks are needed with some of the mechanics and overall responsiveness. If they can do all of this with some updates, it will be an amazing game with a long life span
