My dad made me fall in love with this game, I've always been into crusades and stuff like that, but when I saw this I started tearing up because he is no longer here with me to play amazing medival games(he was a huge m&b fan!)

i like the trend how graphics are not everything like it used to be. we finally reached a comfortable point in graphics and processing where we can focus more on content and depth rather than a thin veneer of GPU burning textures
not for every game tho.. for real today game size keep getting bigger but with less content.. the size keep getting bigger because of high resolution texture and 3d models.. and if this game force you to put your graphic to the max, i think the pc is gonna explode when it come to the big battles like 100 vs 100
Front_Runner the only thing I use is a dell inspirion 15 laptop that works fine for pretty much anything. Only reason I would want a newer desktop is for the rxt card for the tensor cores. Even then the reason I want that has nothing to do with gaming
I was bummed when I ran into a game breaking bug about 1 hour into the game but then they immediately sent out an update that fixed it. I love you TaleWorlds :)

This sounds like a real RPG, as in role playing, as in, you can be anyone and do anything. Today an RPG is actually just an action adventure with RPG elements.
take your time , when i played the first M&B everything was even less clear they throw you into a world and you do whatever you want , consider this game as live your life in the old age , you need money army fame allies , its as real as it gets , i will throw an advice , tournament and trading is your best 2 friends at the start ;) , this game deserve every penny believe me
@@mohamedjbareen2960 bruh I still remember my first savegame. I played a common female, had literally 0 clues what to do. Getting first recruited as mercenary and then becoming a lord was such a good feeling and when I finally got my first town after countless battles in which I've proven my skills in leadership I was so happy, knowing, that I earned it. This game catched the feeling of making progress and starting at the bottom so beautiful. Sadly I don't own a PC so I have to wait for full release, but I am already so hyped!
Mount and blade is one of the most fantastic series. There are obviously glitches and some duds (fire and sword) but I really enjoy them personally. Super stoked
Fire and Sword wasn't bad, but it was no better than mods that were out for Warband. If anything, it should've been a DLC like Viking Conquest or Nap Wars

I know the feels it took me literally 1 week to download BF1 after i bought it at the store. Now i got good internet but no gaming PC, so geforce now is perfect, might just buy some games instead of getting a gaming PC first, developers should be happy about this.
There is a video, that already shows which mods will release after EA. There were The lord of the rings, full invasion 3, also a world of ice and fire.. Sadly EA will end in 1 year( i hope that the mods maybe release more early)
Vanilla Morrowind crashes constantly. Vanilla Oblivion crashes pretty regularly. Skyrim crashes regularly. It is silly to say that about an Early Access game and compare it unfavourably to a game series which is known for its many bugs and glitches. And I say this as a big fan of older Elder Scrolls games - I love them, but they have deep flaws and stability is one that persists in all of them. Looking at my personal experience at least, in comparison to FINAL versions of all mentioned TES games, M&B 2 Bannerlord v.1.5 EA version has been very stable.
Fans for years: “Neverlord. Just release the game already! What’s taking so long? Just release early access! I’ve given up hope on ever getting to play Bannerlord” Developers concede and put it in early access w/ a 10% (possible 20%) discount : (Some) fans: “WTF! What’s with these glitches! The game is so unpolished! It’s unfinished!” Devs of a small company releasing patches everyday, despite COVID, goes unappreciated. -_-
@@naokurogami grow up. It is a massive game with much work having needed to be done for a small studio. Plus as a commenter said above me they created a whole new game engine, that takes time, the fact that most people could carry on playing warband way up to the release of bannerlord shows the potential and that we should be excited not annoyed.

@@Bigskeeterrr There is certainly a lot of things still missing in the game, loads of bugs etc. But looking at the patches that have come out every day now the devs are certainly doing the best they can. Workshop support is also on it's way, so give it time and you'll probably have a blast like i originally did with Warband :)
I remember buying direct from the developer, early access version .7ish. Put a lot of hours in. Just played recently, although I spend more time in the Warband version now. When I first played the demo, I hated it. The combat was too complicated to pick up quickly. I kept coming back though, and as I got better, and my character leveled up, I got hooked. That seems to be how I initially react to my favorite games. I hate them at first because there is too much to learn, but I keep coming back, figure it out, and get hooked. Haven't bought Bannerlord yet, but I'm sure I will.
KK ok. Gonna take the bait. How did you ask the question? It's a reasonable assumption that the culture perhaps changed between the time of the two games. For example, long ago in the middle east, women were granted way more rights then you'd expect compared to how they are treated today. The fact that you use "feminazi" unironically leads me to believe that you were being a sperg in your posts and that's what led to your ban. I highly doubt the question of women in military alone is worthy of a ban. Secondly, what are your specs? I play this thing modded to hell and I've still only had two legitimate crashes. None since patch updates.
@@quagmireforsale i have 68 hrs and 2 crashes on a nice system with an old gpu, so we'll call it mid tier. very solid performance and at this point there has been 4 patches, so im happy they are working so hard on resolving issues
This game has a ton of potential. The Mods in this are gonna be huge! I can't wait for Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Samurai, Hundred Years Wars. So many great mods are coming an I am so excited
I wonder how rare good mods for this game are going to be. Warband was chalk full of mods but that was because the game is so old that modders didn't need high quality models or textures or anything like that so they could make any mod they wanted. Rome mods, LoTR mods, the GoT mod, all looked like trash and had shitty models/textures because the game engine in general was shitty and not very high quality. Now that Bannerlord has these modern graphics modders are going to need to use modern textures/models which will be 1000x harder to create/get a hold of. It's going to be interesting to see how the mod community works this time around compared to warband. It's not going to be nearly as robust I'm sure because the ticket of entry is much much Much higher.

bestieswithtesties I wouldn't bet against the M&B modding community. I'm quite certain we'll at least get something. Also important to note, there's a lot of people (like myself) trying to run the game on subpar computers. My models already look like hot, Warband garbage because I have everything on the lowest settings. I don't hugely mind, and I'm sure many others don't either.
We actually forget some important things when we complain about it took 8 years for this game to come out. Guys TaleWorlds is not a big and rich company like ubisoft, EA, Bethesta and even Fromsoftware etc. yes they had time but they didnt have enough resources and manpower when they started devoloping this game.
So Grandpa's game finally released. Pity he died. He has been telling me of tales of this one around the fire for eons now. I thought it was a fairytale.
As a 1500+ hour vet of Mount & Blade, I can say that the game is good. It is very early release, that's for sure, but it's a giant improvement over Warband in many ways. I can't wait to see them polish it and add more to it
The game (assuming it's somewhat like old Mount and Blade games) doesn't need to teach you anything. That's part of why it's so great. You're dropped into the middle of a world and it's up to you to shape that world how you want it. You can lead a king to total world domination, or you can take over the world yourself, you can meddle in politics to create wars between nations, or you can just destroy everything in your path and make your army larger and richer every step of the way. The tutorial is extremely short because it doesn't want to point you in a certain direction, it wants you to just do what you want to do.
One of the many problems with this game. With it's copy and pasted towns. The NPC's looking like clones of each other. The game breaking bugs. The horrible user interface. This game has been in development for so long and charges you the full $50 price tag and feels very half assed.

I'm going to be honest with you. As this game neared release, I was actually concerned about my relationship. I thought, "How can I find the time grind like I did on Warband when I was a kid?" I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to immerse myself in it after YEARS of waiting. I'm happy to tell you that by a stroke of luck, the relationship ended just as this game released, and I now have many well-spent hours in this game. It brings me back to the good old days of massive battles and sieges for hours on end. I was a bit pissed that they released this game right as my work season started as well, but I still have the weekends to play it. For new players, ya, they should probably wait. I mean it will be fun, but if you didn't grind on Warband, you probably don't understand the glorious act of playing this game with the graphics it has, and the potential to create lineage. OH IT'S BEAUTIFUL :')

This will be absolutely insane with mods. The game itself is awesome already, and it's still in early access. Spent hundreds of hours in Warband, this is a huge step up from that in almost all ways.
For the people that say "Omg, 8 years of development!" Let me tell you a story about a game developer called 3D Realms... Also it's a Turkish company, and I don't know if you're aware of what's happened with Turkey's economy in the last few years.
Taleworlds made a truckload of money on the original game, Warband then the expansions/DLC (and they deserve every penny of it). If anything the "lateness" was due to them making a whole new homemade engine and apparently the lead dev behind it leaving before it was finished.
So after having played literally 100s of hours of the original I can say this is neither a triumph or a disappointment. It feels like 3 steps forward, 1 large leap to the side, followed by a slip and a sore arse. Will probably be great in 9 months.
You probably played this game the way you played warband. You probably didnt explore the new features. I'm not proud of it but i spent 1k+ hours on warband, and the new features on bannerlord are numerous! have u become a lord yet? If not, your review is invalid.
For me the best feeling ever in the mount and blade games is when someone just absolutely destroys you in a battle, then you come back with a huge army and just ohhhh them you know
I loved how you can rise yourself to greatness, commit a mistake, be buried into the mud and rise again. Or even change your ways completely. It was so great. I'm eager to try this one. :D
Insta bought it as soon as it dropped. It's got it's rough edges being early access, but I'm already having fun. Finally own a castle and am building up my clan. It feels very familiar, while updating enough to be new and smoother
I literally bought it 3 minutes after it came out hehe. I like it so far since all i wanted was a improvement on warband rather then something completly different like some games do.
I don't think the majority of those who played Warband wanted something different. Pretty sure most of us wanted improvements and improving they are. Needs some more work from what I have seen but damn is it nice.

It's literally downloading while I'm watching the video. I'm new to the series and the game is expencive for an early access title, but it looks promising and I figured I'd give it a try. I need more singleplayer games to relax with
Review the mods. That's where the game really shines.. they built a great foundation for modders Game of thrones is already in development and many others. Multiplayer is fun with captain mode. Siege is unorganized as usual that's with public players, joining a clan will bring you the most fun.
Mods are half the glory but warband was and still is amazing on its own. Sieges are actually very organized and work amazingly organically if you give people an objective like a flag. And Bannerlord does. Its(and warband and wfas's) sieges in mp are like nothing else out there.
After playing M&B Warband until Bannerlord showed up, I can say that this is a huge upgrade. Love it so much! Hope they make a viking conquest and fire and sword versions too!

> Warning: Wall of Text ahead < This is the only game Ive ever seen where the Singleplayer and the Multiplayer have their separated fandoms. Sinpleplayer people dont play multiplayer much, multiplayer people dont play singleplayer much. Both of them have their own big mods and different preferences. While singleplayer is very tactical and rpg-ish, the multiplayer is very pvp-based. The mods are hands down the best thing about it. While the game itself delivers a great fundament, its the mods that will make you stick around for longer than you expected (personally stuck to this game for over 7(!) years because of two multiplayer mods). So how's the game for veterans? There's both excited faces and sad faces. Excited because the game is in its core the same thing (which is exactly what people wanted) but has a lot of nice and clever improvements. Sad because its still kinda buggy and unfinished despite the development taking so agonizingly long. Singleplayer still lacks a lot of content, features and fixes, multiplayer is ok-ish and improved, but the combat system still needs quite some work and polishing to be an as crisp and rewarding experience as the warband combat was (also, theres a lack of gamemodes, we still need duel servers, battle servers and overall servers where friendly fire is activated). Should you buy or rather wait? You can do both Id say. You can already get quite a solid experience now, but have to keep in mind that its early access, theres still a lot that needs to be fixed and it will take at least a year to get it done. But you can also wait and check back later for release to get the ultimate sweet first experience once you dive in, I already envy those who have never played the game and will get their first experience at launch once this leviathan is polished and ready to drink from skulls. What gives me hope is that the devs actually listen to the feedback and improve the game based on it. Compared to september 2019 the combat has become so much better and so many other things have gotten a great improvement aswell, the team is currently hotfixing and shooting out patches like crazy (good job!). The only thing you need is good patience though, Taleworlds is slow and it will take quiiite a while until you get the game that you wanted. But, well, in the end, you actually get the game that you wanted. Rock on, Taleworlds!
I've played about 49 hours of the game so far and I have to say it's amazing. I have experienced framerate drops to as low as 5fps for periods of 10+ minutes but most of the time it tends to be on a consistent 30+fps

I’ve always wanted to play games like this. Where you can go to war medieval style and use actual real time strategy, setting up flanks, placing archers, etc. Will give this a try.
The devs are working very quickly to put out patches. it's been out for a day and there's already one quickfix patch and a second slightly bigger patch.
and yet i need to sacrifice a small child and goat to the Eldrich beings of the chaos Realm for the game to launch, and after i offer them the left side of my body it still doesn't launch.
The game gave me a preset offonly High and Medium Graphic settings and I had to turn it all to low and sacrigice my first born child just so i can attack without crashing the game
i was a child when my cousin gave me mount and blade war band, introduced me to this series, and said a sequel is coming and I was hyped, now I'm hyped more than a child
@@seanturner1255 Bethesda are some of the worst game developers out there. They got lucky with a few games but they are way too casual and easy. Their games are also broken and never get fixed, devs just abandon the game and then move onto the next one to milk the consumers more.
The thing is it is on early acces and they're uploading a new patch nearly everyday. Game is so far to the final game right now and it will be better and better everyday. I played 44 hours in first 4 days (not kidding). Yes there are balance issues, bugs but even big companies' finished games have these things. So in the first week of "early acces" it is just too early to talk. It is a definitely buy game for sure. Cant wait for the future of it.
Actually do you have problems with the fiefs? I can only get 2 towns/ castles and no more. I tried on proposing to give my castle but the game seems bug. Some lords will hate for giving my castle and I’m stuck at the voting screen but the game still running.
Got it on release and I'm a solid 16 hours deep into it. The game gives me oldschool warband vibes but with so much new stuff mixed in. The graphics are fantastic and the combat has just been made better. The way in which you join and fight with armies has been greatly improved and is an absolute blast. The castle sieges are insane, a little bit laggy at times but I'm sure it will be optimised. Overall, this game slaps.
AvaLanche baybee I’m having fun with it too, but it terms of new things to do, there isn’t really anything I’ve noticed yet. Sure, lots of existing activities have been greatly revamped, but nothing seems completely new to me yet.

they did everything that will make the game more enjoyable and i am happy they did use some of the same concepts from the previous title, i wouldn't play bannerlord if it was worse than its own previous title, fortunately it is enjoyable, i have like 500 hours already on bannerlord its sooo good
Con mon everything just works better. It’s more so easier to skip the things you didn’t like. Don’t like exploring towns? Everyone that has a mission is there from the screen where you first click on the town. Hate following people for days when your just slightly faster than them and they want you to help on their campaign? It’s still random but you can join the army. There’s some preplanning to sieges. There’s more interacting with people. There’s kind of a story. The weapons feel significantly more unique. The factions seem to have more personality. It’s not something completely new and most of the game really is like a refined warband, but I think it’s great. War and had incredible concepts but it was so limited and it seemed like a chore to do most things (recruit troops, join campaigns, find quests, find that one person in a town or city that is literally NOWHERE) Bannerlord just makes it seem like there’s less downtime and makes it easier to get to whatever aspect you enjoy most.
Remember that the game is in early access. There will be bugs, missing features and so. But still the game is amazing. Can't wait for the best version.
I hold this series so close to my heart, It was early 2009 and my dad had a subscription to a pc magazine and one month it came with this free lite version of a game called "Mount and Blade", he gave it to me and I had an absolute blast with it, but this lite version only had the possibility to play the arena battles and I had no idea that it was any other than that. A few years later when I was browsing steam I found out that this game had even more to offer than an Arena and until this day I still play it, but finally the time has arrived for this one :D
Rōkun dude I feel u I tried to down load war and when I was like 10 and accidentally downloaded viruses lmao but I played it for the first time when I was 13 so like 3 years ago and I wear filled w excitement this game also holds a near and dear place in my heart and this one looks even better than the original
I’m already addicted to this game and it’s only early access. 😱 but seriously LOVING my Mongolian inspired Khuzait army. Just something about having an army completely full of heavy melee cavalry and heavy archer cavalry is so satisfying to watch as you run down every army you come across in the field even when outnumbered.
I've played all of the previous Mount & Blades, absolutely loved them and honestly, even if this game was just a graphic overhaul with just a few tweaks to the originals, I would still buy it
I just got this game tonight and I'm so excited to play it. I loved the first game. This is definitely one of "those" games where a computer savvy or programmer would enjoy more than your average console gamer. I feel like there is a little bit of... I don't wanna say a disconnect or unappreciation because that sounds mean, but I guess you could say a high expectation from most gamers due to being pampered by triple a titles with huge budgets and teams, and there's a lot of misunderstanding on the sheer amount of work that goes into the tiniest of things in a video game. That's why these kind of smaller budget games don't appeal as much to most people. I've been working on my own video game for under a year, and it has opened my eyes on how magical video games really are. I especially like smaller studio's games because they typically have more passion put into them than a big studio's game who is worked on by people just doing a job. Passion projects have emotion & love put into them. Not saying every developer at rockstar doesn't have passion for the next grand theft auto game, but I'd wager most of them don't care about the quality of the game anymore than the average mcdonalds employee cares about the quality of your hamburger, or the average call center employee cares about the quality of your phone call. It's how humans who are doing things for money are.
god I really hope that they do "with fire and sword" again. that, to me was the ultimate mount and blade. set perfectly in the early 1600s we had a transition between armour and greatswords being met with musket fire and pistols. you could hack your way through pitifully armoured sharpshooters or be one yourself and snipe people. given that they took a long time to reload and their inaccuracy, it was still fair. it just felt amazing when you were a cossack holding the walls of a doomed fort with a pistol and saber against the advancing russian kingdoms
fire&sword, vikings, napoleon wars were all offical mods of warband. they kept same engine but added bunch of new weapons, maps, features, quests. i'm sure after they make the current game decent enough, they will move on to doing those things again and we will eventually have a fire&sword in bannerlord's new engine. it will take a lot of time though, because bannerlord needs A LOT of improvements
Here's where I'm out a with Bannerlord. Being a fan of M&B with about a thousand hours in it, when I heard that this came out I went straight to the steam store. I bought it and waited at my computer for it to download. I was extremely happy to see that they kept the factions very similar to the old ones and was excited when I jumped in. The UI is a drastic improvement and it feels like I'm playing a new game overall. The graphics are so much better, the town's are more detailed, same with the cites. Recruiting is slot easier, the AI actually have a brain. When it comes to fighting, formations and commands are listed out so much better. Even in sieges, the ability to build siege equipment and attack with it is somthing brand new and awsome! The game giving us the ability to also let it upgrade our companions for us is so much more relaxing and the loot from battles is awsome! There is also cleans and gangs which add a lot into the game. This all being said, I shared a similar experience when I first played the game and found a glitch or two. It was a bit disheartening but it was workable. I'm excited to see where the community will take Bannerlord when it comes to mod development and so on! It's worth buying!
Total agree. The first few glitches I found have already been patched out. TaleWorlds is doing it right. I find the siege defense a bit disappointing; when I try to command units to parts of the wall they form clumps, so I just let the AI command take over while I throw fire pots (which is the coolest add ever). One major fix they need is faction balance; I have seen Vlandia roll half the map twice without my help, which basically forces me to side with them to reach game end.

Dramoka idk I think it’s a cool factor because warband wars were to static with nothing happened but they fixed the snowball thing already so it’s already fixed. The reason it happened was because what ever faction was the closest to destroying another one the lords would defect because they lost their fiefs

Bannerlord is more developed than many AAA titles. Love the game, highly recommend it. 10/10. Would love to be in a bigger map, also open world troop movement seems high, NPC's can drag you halfway across the open world map trying to engage them.
