@@versnellingspookie they said they officially split and aren’t going to be doing anything for chon , maybe they might come back never know but they said they’re done basically .
The bass player here is Brandon Ewing. If you've not heard of him, I recommend checking him out and his bands "Eternity Forever" and more recently "Gold Necklace". He's a phenomenal guitar player.
How I missed that tour I have NO idea! I love all 3 of you. My Sons first concert was the Strawberry Girls show in ATL. I think we missed the last 2 times you guys were in because of us being out of town. Still bumming!
Chon was the first concert I went to without my parents when I was 17 for their 2018 tour where they played Homey with a string quartet. It was super fun at the time, and I treasure that memory even more now that they're not really around anymore. One of my biggest influences as a guitarist without a doubt.
Chon has disbanded bro. Erick released his solo project "Betrayflip" and it's just lofi. Really good but not like Chon overall together themselves. Mario and Erick has their new music in Orangesofa channel rn. I miss them as Chon.😢🥹🥲
I went to this show in 2016, it was freaking nuts. When Mario told the crowd to mosh things just went crazy, did not expect that, especially with it being my first time seeing Chon. They told us that it was being filmed, but always wondered where this footage ended up. Thanks for uploading!
I remember watching this dvd at home and was blown away that my friends and I was shown in the beginning. I remember this show like it was yesterday. This show was amazing and I remember that vip soundcheck they did, mario asked the crowd what songs do you guys want to hear and I literally yelled out newborn sun and temporarily destabilized. If I remember correctly the tracklist for the soundcheck was newborn sun, temporarily destabilized, i cant wait and I think bubble dream or perfect pillow. This show was back in 2016 and I saw them 3 times that year including that 4 day tour they did the same year with polyphia and yvette young. Thankful to have this video not only on dvd but also on youtube. This band will always have a special place in my heart.
Thank you so much for posting 🥺the bit about the happy mosh pits got me. I miss seeing those. I never participated I just bopped to the music outside of them lmaoooo but ugh their music really did evoke a joy like no other
@@deepolvo1 "We took a break in 2020 because of the pandemic and then realized we didn't want to continue. I know as a fan, you might not want to hear that, but it was the best decision for us." Before that, they used "hiatus" and I'm not sure if that is the break in 2020 that Erick mentions here, but if not this could be another way of saying they are still on that hiatus or it could be they are moving on.
thanks for this man, brings back some memories listening to their old tracks!!! I did Fall drum cover as well back then lol (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oVrxyhMfRFw.html)
Nah I don't think it was necessarily Drew leaving that caused their decline. That was before homey came out and homey was pretty big. Plus Esiah is in the family. According to Erick and Mario they said after covid they really didn't feel like continuing and it makes sense. They've been making music and playing shows since around 2008. That's a crazy amount of time. They definitely deserve a break more than anything. Plus they only declined because they stopped. They were only really going up in numbers for a long time and then after they stopped, people stopped listening as often.
