So relatable. As a second year Med student myself, your words hit me so deep. May Gop helps you find your way.

@@lifetime_learner if you don’t mind me asking, what medical school do you attend? I was actually researching on Liberty osteopathic medicine and your videos popped up, was wanting more information on this school because I am thinking of applying there this cycle. I like hearing from students that actually go there because they give different insights on how the school actually is.

Hey Victoria, sorry I don’t go to Liberty & don’t have any friends that do. I would try searching on LinkedIn for Facebook for alumni or current students and just sending them a message. That’s what I always do 😅 The worst thing that happens is they don’t want to talk to you or don’t respond. But I have gotten a lot of good advice doing it this way!

Pediatrics is almost the opposite of surgery but hey you are still a doctor!

Yes very different. My personality and life goals also changed so it is a much better fit.

If you had a higher board score would you still do surgery?

That’s a good question. Before, medical school I definitely would have been pretty bummed to find out my score wouldn’t let me pursue surgery. But because everything happens for a reason, these past three years of medical school have been reshaping me to see another way I want to spend my life. So I’d say my mindset change was already in the works of changing before I even found out my score.
