I remember years ago, when I bought my first single-action Badger airbrush, in the booklet it also mentioned an inflated car tyre as an air source, presumably you could buy an adapter for the valve at some point. Then as the tyre deflated you simply pumped it back up and away you went. Just curious if that is still an available option these days? I've now got a small compressor with an air tank attached, although I still have the small Badger compressor I was given as a Christmas present which is a continuous compressor.

I had an old tire in the basement for a while before I bought a compressor with my paper route money back in the 70s. Mom was glad when the tire went back outside. I still have the adapter for the tire! I never wore gloves or a mask as a kid, I don't think anyone did back then.

I think you are a little confused on the noise comments. Those little airbrush compressors are orders of magnitude quieter than the power tool compressors. You can easily talk in a normal voice over an airbrush compressor that is only a few feet away Where the power tool compressor is very noisy even when in the next room, defiantly way too noisey for in the house use.
