He's very humble and very rich but still uses public transport and not wasting his millions on sports car like many actors. He rather donates his wealth to help others.
He was perfect for the role of the king and the chemistry between him and Jodie Foster was so amazing. Beautiful movie. Excellent performances by everyone. I enjoyed this much more than the original. ❤
He speaks English very well. For his age and he has been living in Hong Kong who doesn't have a lot of chances to practice English. We can tell he has put a lot of effort in practicing English.
" He speaks English very well", I guess you don't know Hong Kong was a British colony until 1997 when the UK gave it back to China..., so there of course they have a lot of opportunity to speak English!
@@dreamer13266 actually he was interviewed in English 9 years prior to this on the set of ‘Prison on Fire II’ and his English back then was also very good too.
English was also one of the main languages of Hong Kong. This also helps them in business activities and due to one of this language reason and other important factors Hong Kong's economy boomed.
awesome man he is. Very humble even though he's a superstar. He goes to the market and says hi to everybody who says hi to him. Passes by another actor and takes photos of his dog, then send the photos to him in person. Remembers a friend (and her name!) of mine who was a production assistant in his movie more than 10 years ago!
Chow Yun Fat is a true movie star and actor with charisma in a world full of bland stars and performers. Not only that, but, by all accounts, he a very nice human being.
Chow has a very, very good reputation among the movie industry for his good heart and good charisma - Jodie Foster claims him to be the nicest and friendliest actor she's ever worked with, together with Mel Gibson (yup, believe it or not).
Chow Yun Fat nagyszerű színész. Sokszor szavak nélkül is tudtuk milyen érzések voltak benne. Gyönyörűen átadta őket! És rendkívül vonzó! Olvadok tőle.❤️❤
I have only recently seen Anna and the King, and then Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. I love them both and I so love Chow Yun Fat..... he is beautiful and it is lovely to see him as himself in this interview - seems like a really special person.....
That lady in red was so lucky and she don't even know what else to ask or to say😂 seems she's so starstruck. Chow Yun Fat is so cool and handsome even when he gets older now. I wish I could see him in person someday.
Today April 26 ,. I am watching Ann and the King. I love this movie so much. They show this movie alot love it .Jodie Foster was great . Take care . God bless you.💖🌹💖
The film is so great even though it had been misconducted so far from reality in the royal court of Siam. But as for arts and entertainment as well as imagination, everything is so cool. Unfortunately, we could not watch it in Thailand.
Was it disrespectful towards Thai history? It's beautiful for us westerners but I'm afraid if it was released today it would be accused of white saviourism. Unless, of course, it was seen as it is: a fairy tale.
The thing i remembered most about the movie--the palace was actually a train station back in my hometown. i was a kid back then, saw lotsa cars & whatnot lining up the station & shit, pretty much stuffing the place up. no chance to see him in person, though i'd have loved to.
T hi s movie takes a long time, but it's a probably beautiful story between Anna ang the king. The story is very epic, I love this but I love so much when chow Yun fat is my idol and I wanna see him in person someday in God's will..I hope soon🙏🙏god bless my idol chow Yun fat❤️❤️iloveyou!!
I agree with the interviewer; its good he had hair in this version, because it would be too easy to think about yule brinner - who did an AMAZING job in HIS version of the movie that everyone remembers - but Chow has this whole charisma that he brought to this version & he & Jodie had great chemistry!
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍🥴😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫😵😵😵😵😵😵 How does she talk to him without fainting?! I think the choice of Chow Yun Fat for the film Anna and the King is excellent because this man has a lot of visual power inspiring the visual ideal of a CHEF by his advantageous appearance and his words, and his voice, and his demeanor. I think he looks smart and kind. Not all men look kind! I once met a man who looked VERY similar to him and had a voice like HIM! He made speeches, once alone, at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal in 2003! Now he is remarried and he no longer makes religious speeches for large gatherings. Seeing Chow Yun Fat is like seeing him again.
I respect this fantastic actor, altho i can not agree that asians (particularly south east asians) love this movie. Thailand is a very independent country with independent monarchs, and this was definitely, historically misleading as well as highly romanticized, just like any other hollywood movie. That being said, I believe that the Malaysian elephants did a pretty awesome job at acting as the king's elephants.
