I found on mine that with ext. antenna on Shortwavw I get the local station brodcasting on 1390 MW in the background of any SW station. I hooked up the ext antenna to the whip antenna and was clean and got good reception of SW stations.

Glad you reviewed this radio. It's interesting but not sure if it's worth the price. I'd be glad to see more about it. Thanks.

Well sir I did not go out to the park as you suggested but did put on a longer wire as an external antena and I did get somewhat ssb but not clear to be understood

Beautiful radio, too bad it seems to have so many birdies and whistles. Glad you’re reviewing this radio; I’ve considered buying it, but maybe not. Before I get one, certain issues just have to be cleaned up, because this one is just too expensive to not pay attention to details like that. Thank you for your review, 73! 'smart' implies a higher level of performance...any info on that?

Too much electronics, for sure, will affect the radio reception in AM and SW
