Recipe
250ml of warm milk
7g of instant dry yeast or 20g fresh
1 egg
60g of melted butter
20g of sugar
6g of salt
400g of plain flour
The pan I used was the one from the Gur, Carrot cake and Banana Cake videos. It’s 20 x 30 cm
I baked these for 25 minutes at 180 C/356F. If you’re using a fan oven reduce the heat to 160 C/320F. If using a gas oven it’s gas mark 4
Although I used dry yeast it is best to use fresh yeast for this. This is a no knead enriched dough which takes anything from 1.5 - 3 hours to double in size. You can add a little more yeast to speed up fermentation if you want
It’s winter now so proof the dough in a warm place
US Cup measurements. This recipe is converted from grams so these are rough estimates
Recipe
1 cup of warm milk
2 ½ tsp of instant dry yeast
1 egg
½ stick of melted butter
1 tbsp of sugar
1 tsp of salt
3 ⅓ cups of all purpose flour

Since our nurses want to make a surprise dinner for us on Hogmanay, I changed the plan and made these lovely dinner rolls today. We had them with chili con carne.... All 12 rolls miraculously disappeared before lunch was over. 😀 This recipe is so easy to make, even when you are handicapped and bedridden for most of the time. Our kitchen smelled like heaven. I can highly recommend to try these rolls. They are soft and fluffy, smell like brioche... sooo good. My co-patients have ordered another batch with garlic butter very soon. Okay, now you're doing too much 😂 this will be the third recipe I make from watching your videos. I have so many of your videos saved in my playlist and I plan to make each of them. Thanks for this and I appreciate it. I came for the kids and stayed for the bread. Love from jamaica 🇯🇲

@@irishbakerabroad Thank you , Chris🎅🏻 ⛄🎄 I'll make a batch for our "after-fireworks-snack" on Hogmanay... cold with smoked salmon and horseradish creme, and warm with ham and cheese-bechamel a bit like croque monsieur and of course the anti-vampire edition with a good helping of spicy garlic butter 😀 I'll make the rolls a bit smaller so we can try all three versions without violating our good intentions for the New Year before the year is even one hour old 😂😂😂 cheeri 🙋🏻‍♀Lisa
