February 14, 2013 - Valentines Day at the Station Inn in Nashville. Chris and his wife Morgane and Ronnie and Garnet Bowman singing '"It Takes A Woman."
@@waltino81 yeah I was confused why this video is 5 years old and the sound was just released. So, he only sang it live and never put it on a previous album, I take it?
Lol, this is a long time ago. I feel fortunate to have known about Chris Stapleton this long ago and beyond. It makes a person ask themselves, how has anyone else made it into country music before Chris Stapleton did. It's funny how our radios are full of singers that should have never made it from their shower when Chris Stapleton was alive and doing music.
Back before his big Grammy performance a few years ago, I saw Chris on the local news promoting the show. He was mumbling, barely speaking at all. I said to myself “This poor guy is gonna embarrass himself on national TV.” The Grammy’s rolled around, the opening riff to Tennessee Whiskey started, and he opened his mouth to sing. My jaw hit the floor! It’s hard to believe someone could be producing great music for so long, and remain relatively unknown. It seems to happen entirely too often to some great artists. So many great songs and artists slipping through the cracks. It’s nice to see one get lucky for a change.
+Rhonda Black First time I heard this video, about a year ago, I've been in love with this song. I was so hoping he would put it on his first album. Maybe he will with his next album! This one and Fool Me Again. So in love with both of them.
It’s on streaming services now. It’s going to be on his new album coming out in November I believe. I’ve been listening to it on repeat for three days lol. The boy can sing, lord have mercy.
These comments will blow up soon ! This is finally going to make it to his new album , 10 years later . Love your music Chris ! Been a fan since steeldrivers , some of the jompson brothers (barely alive and on the run) are in my top 10 favorite songs ever .
Best Songwriter I have Ever Heard and Should Be MAIN Artist. I could listen to you sing all day long Chris......love your style and that raspy soul country smooth voice ......my favorite....
I can't seem to understand why this song isn't on a record!? It's so good. So beautiful and a song many people can relate to. Please record a studio version Chris!?
The reason he won't is because he wrote it for his wife and his wife only. As much as he loves making music and sharing his talent, he wants this song to just be for his wife and not for any other guy to sing it for their wives or girlfriends. It's how he feels and as much as I love this song I respect this so much as a man :)
Omg thank u for sharing that info bc I've looked and looked for this song and can't find it anywhere!! Although I love love love this song, much respect for the reasoning behind it!! Recently, I saw him in person, and the way he sang to her gave me goose bumps! The way he looks at Morgan is every girls dream!! Lucky lucky girl!!
Salvatore u shld repost this as a separate post...not sure if ppl will catch it here. I really appreciated the info, I'm sure others will too! Thx again!!
I don't think that information is correct. The song was recorded by Luke Dickens in 2011 on his Devil in The Wind Album itunes.apple.com/au/album/it-takes-a-woman/1123067365?i=1123067523
Yes at last he has recorded this. Written with Ronnie Bowman, (singing harmonies on this video)said last year that he has been trying to get Chris to record this years.
His performance on Kimmel brought me here. It’s sweet that he wrote this song as a tribute to her over a decade ago and that the world in masses now has a glimpse of Mrs. Stapleton 💕
And judt look at how far he's come since then. He was great then, now hes even Better. Im so glad he decided to record his songs. His voice is amazing ! And his style of music is unbeatable. Imo, he should be winning All the awards.....pure country❤
Whenever I’m broken….. honey you heal When I’m in the dark…. you are my light When I get lost….. you know right where to find….. me When I have my doubts….. girl you make me believe It takes a women, it takes a women A women who sees the best part of me……. though all that I am It takes a women, oh it takes a women to be all I can to feel like a man…. it takes a women You are my comfort whenever I’m through….. when I’m alone you are my friend You make me high…… keep my feet on the ground Whatever I need …..girl you give it to me It takes a women, it takes a women A women to see the best part of me though all that I am oh It takes a women, it takes a women It takes a women, it takes a women A women to see the best part of me though all that I am oh It takes a women, it takes a women to be all I can to feel like a man it takes a women
I like Chris Stapleton can mess up the lyrics and still save them seamlessly. In all honesty that guy could sing straight gibberish and people would still listen
