Thats how you sang it!! He brought america back together that night.

This will forever be my favorite rendition of out Nation Anthem. To me it really embodies the struggle and strife America went through to gain our independence from Great Britain. He channeled the soul of America when he sang and his work on the guitar was masterful.

Chris took us to church. Period.

This should be the official version of the national anthem.

Most singers will sing it like a celebration at the Super Bowl. Chris's version was more like a soulful reflection. Foreigners, who have recently learned the story behind The Anthem, were crying watching it.

I wish he could sing the National Anthem at every Super Bowl! He should have his spot reserved just based on the greatness of his performance. Hands down my favorite version of anybody having did the anthem.

He is performing as he lived all the lines of the anthem , and he is emotionally telling the story to a close relative. It is admirable how some talented people can transport themselves to another reality and show all the emotions that are hidden underneath the words. Chris voice may not reach the higher notes , as some other people do, but our emotions went far beyond that, with his performance.

Chris live is always amazing, mesmerizing & makes you feel every single word! He’s a living Legend!

When I heard this live, it hit me directly in the heart like no other anthem had. It made me feel proud but also me realize what it took to establish the freedoms we have. I have parents and grandparents who served. My marine mother was crying due to him nailing it!

This, and the time Whitney Houston sang it, are my two all-time favorite renditions of the song. I really relate to how you said that some people sing it, and just seem to be trying to get through the song. When people sing it proudly, (as a national anthem should be sung), you can feel it in your heart and soul. May God bless our country and bring us back together as one nation under His divine mercy, may we love our brothers and sisters, share our prosperities with others, spread kindness and love everywhere we go, and may we be a shining example of humankind everywhere we go. Fred Astaire was one of the best dancers of all time. He had a unique style of dancing, a combination of ballet and tap. One song from the movie Royal Wedding, he danced on the walls and ceiling. One from the movie Swing Time, he and his dance partner Ginger Rogers tap danced on roller skates - and she was wearing heels! Then there's the musicals. Judy Garland singing Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas in the movie Meet Me in St Louis, all of the songs from the movie Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, the song Make Believe by Howard Keel and Kathryn Grayson in the movie Showboat...so many good ones!
