CHRIST CENTERED FULL WEDDING CEREMONY

January, 1989- I was 25yrs old, tired of the dating scene. I was on staff as the director of children, youth and college at a Methodist church in my town. I had just had a total disaster of a 1st date! That night, at home, in my bed, reading my Bible. I was crying, sharing my heart with GOD. I wanted nothing more in my life but to be married to my best friend, a man with a strong faith in GOD, and a man who will love me warts and all! (Ok I do r really have warts!😂) and a man who wanted a family as much as I did! As I prayed and shared my heart, I decided I was DONE! No more looking, no more dating, and I’m going to wait! I never felt more….FREE! I enjoyed my life without feeling like I had to be “ready” to go on dates. I could be just me! Come June 89, a young man was on leave from the Navy, visiting his parents (he grew up in this church!). This lady, whom I had known she and her husband for about a year, introduced me to their son. He seemed really nice, cute smile, kinda goofy. But, I wasn’t looking for someone! He went back to his ship in San Diego. Oddly, I kept wondering about him,hoping he’s safe on the ship, and wishing I had gotten his snail mail address to at least write letters about things within the church family. But, I didn’t want to ask his mom! End of July- this young man is back… and for good! He finished his stent in the Navy! Why the fire was I excited?!? Idk! We had recently started a singles group in our church, so the teacher invited him. Over the next few weeks, we were really enjoying just hanging around with the group. Then one evening, he was helping chaperone a jr high teens lock in at our church. All the kids fell asleep, but he and I chose to stay awake and talk ALL NIGHT LONG! It was during our talks, that he admitted that he was interested in me, and wanted to possibly date each other. I was excited.. yet scared! Was I doing this for GODS will, or was I doing this for MY will?! Over that weekend, I prayed a lot. Come Sunday morning, he was standing at my office, grinning from ear to ear,saying he missed me o er the weekend! So, we decided to start dating, but on the quiet side. Being on staff at a church, tends to get all the little old ladies asking when we are getting married! We saw eachother secretly… or so we thought! His mom had ideas that we were! Lol come 10/10/89 we were at my apartment, fixing dinner, and we were cutting up,teasing and playing around, when next I know, I turn around to face him, he’s on his knee, ring in hand, asking me to marry him!! I felt in my heart a big YES! From GOD! Yes, we didn’t know eachother long before we got engaged! But! When you know, you know! On 4/28/90, we married. We recently celebrated 32yrs. We have2 grown children, 5 grandbabies. We’ve had many ups, downs and in betweens. I wouldn’t want to experience life with anyone else, but this crazy man. He’s now graying and thinning hair. But he still has that smile that melted my heart the 1st time I met him, while he was on leave!

The fact they choose to worship God for their marriage is AMAZING to me! I’ve never seen a Christ center wedding! May God bless you! & keep you! Thank you both for your yes to God this was soooo encouraging, inspiring and spirit filled! God is soooo good!

A Christ-centered marriage is all I long for.

After having prayers for 4 years i have met someone who is willing to serve God like whom I have prayed to God.

I've never seen a Wedding ceremony so DIVINE....I felt the present of God in the midst of this....and even with the worship song...I pray GOD'S BLESSING UPON THIS UNION.

I pray for a day like this although am 51,just like the song said all my life he has been faithful to me and my daughter andI know my day is coming bless you both 🙏

I am so moved by this! Not only this wedding but I too am studying to be a Life Coach.. I have been deceived by satan with New Age and I thought it was the rightful choice.. until my dad who is a Pastor gave me guidance and prayed for me..now I am being discipled.. all glory to God!! I returned to my living God , Jesus Christ. The author of my life. I wanted to stop with Life Coaching because I thought it was all New Age practices but Sarah you inspired me to become a Christian Life Coach.. I thank you..
