I'm honestly baffled as to why ANYONE would think this was suitable for an appearance in aa church, but then I can't understand why it's supposed to be good to have them reading stories to children in libraries either.
We need leaders with an ounce of morals! We will be called bigots? Much better than having lost all of our benchmarks and morals. This is about a minority attempting to pass as majority. They have comments about majorities? So, who cares? What weight do their comments carry when they cannot make the difference on what makes sense and what does not any more!

This is a disgrace! It is an ultimate insult to God and the Church. The whole world is laughing at us and rightly so. This is not in my name. Shame on all those involved.
God will guide your steps. In your thoughts, tell God to make choices He wants for you very bright with the light of the Holy Spirit. When you feel ready, let God dictate your journey. That worked for me ... at 54, God guided me out of NYC to Syracuse, NY. Then where to rent an apartment. Then where to find a job. I prayed and followed the brightest thought. Finding the apartment, the Light showed me where to get off the bus. I was at 4 corners I didn't know a thing about. I was so scared, but I asked, and the Light had me cross an avenue. Then walk up to a store front. A sign "apartment for rent" was then evident. It has a number to call which I immediately did. An hour later I had the keys to my new little home. I am still happy in Syracuse. Following that white bright light of the Holy Spirit got me settled in a new city. And I didn't know God the way you do, Reverend. I still don't. But I know all goes better when I trust Him.

You're right with the quote Ruth but wrong dispensation with respect. The Lord Jesus was referring to a synagogue and the Jews were under the law ( of Moses ). The New Testament began with the death and resurrection of the Testator ( Hebrews 9 & 10 King JamesBible ) the Lord Jesus Christ. This of course began the dispensation of GRACE ( Church age ). There are no " church " buildings or " going to church ". No vicars, priests et al. The priesthood was abolished by Jesus ( Hebrews 9 &10 KJV ) and HE is our Great High Priest with the saints forming the new priesthood. Stephen ( Acts 7 ) and Paul ( Acts 17 ) say clearly that Almighty God does NOT dwell in buildings made with hands. In the 4th century when Constantine invented the catholic cult they took over the pagan temples in Rome hence ' church buildings ' They are not biblical and not of God.

Jeremiah 23 v 1 - 3 sums up the apostasy in the Church of England. Romans 1 v 18 - 32, Matthew 23 v 13, Matthew 23 v 17, 2 Timothy 4 v 3 - 4 all refer. The Church of England is creating a false Christ which leads only to perdition.

One cannot read the New Testament nor the epistles of Saint Paul, and have one’s feet in both the world and God’s kingdom. I need to stay fully within the boundaries of God’s kingdom. ‘ Liberal Church’ ?? The word ‘ Church’ has been diluted and fragmented by the addition of adjectives ( or should I say change of orientation from Scripture). Is the Holy Spirit One, or diluted/ fragmented? Both Jesus and St Paul instruct us not to be of the world. Cabaret and burlesque, or putting on an identity with make- up, wigs and other accessories, has its place in society and it is an identity for many people- I respect that as Christianity respects the freedom of each person to make a choice. Equally to people who have transitioned through medical means. However, Jesus’ Church is not its designated venue to stand at the pulpit. Otherwise why don’t we worship Christ in a drag venue? Everything in our Society has a place to be. And this is further emphasised by the fact that there is no presence of drag in mosques, synagogues, Masonic temples… I have a friend who is transitioning- that person goes to Church, sits amongst the congregation and says prayers. That person does not dress provocatively, and what takes place inside that person’s heart is between that person and God. The temple of prayer is open to all who enter with respect. And respect means humbleness, leaving the ego at the door. It appears that in drag culture, the ego is at the forefront- stemming often from the social stigma/ social denigration hence the strong desire to impose one’s self. That's why denominationalism is NOT the answer. It just shows up how divided we are. Jesus said a kingdom divided against itself cannot stand. I pray God gives an answer to how we practice Christianity/be followers of Jesus without all these divisions and denominations. We are still supposed to meet together in groups as the early Church did and not go forming denominations. The Muslims are looking at this and having a laugh! Very well said Susan. There's nothing in my King James Bible New Testament regarding " going to church ", church buildings, or denominations. The whole shambles is man made ( essentially catholic ) and not of the Holy Ghost.
Denominationalism creates a decentralized Protestant church. It actually has it strengths. For example if one denomination goes bad, that has only affected one denomination. You will still be able to go to another protestant church. If it was a centralised Protestant church, and that church went bad from the centre outwards, that is most of the Protestant church gone bad ( except the churches that hold out against the central Protestant leadership, which would be likely to break away and form a denomination) Of course it would have been better for the Catholic church to have kept to scripture and not created a lot of extra stuff with no biblical support, in which case there would have been no need for the reformation, and then it would have been better if the Protestant churches hadn't disagreed so strongly that they had to create another denomination. But that's the course history took. It would be a waste of effort to trying to reverse history, even if you could do it, it wouldn't be have a beneficial result. What we have been left with isn't a bad setup, despite the negatives that brought us to this point.

This would never happen at my church although we will be getting a new female priest in February of next year so I don't know what might happen after that. Part of the problem is linked the the Cof E view...I applaud this Vicars stance but the building is not the church.If the Cof E organisation was reasonable, they could allow orthox ministers to leave and hand over the building to the congregation.

Sadly all so true. Now many years ago my Church put on a sort of entertainment show with half naked girls dancing behind the High Alter they wanted to stand on it but were made to stand on tressels. There was lots of other entertainment as part of this show. I loved my work in that Church but after this dreadful & wicked thing I could no longer accept this & resigned. This show was allowed & done simply as method of making money. I was especially offended that the most sacred part of the Church was allowed to be desecrated in such a way. The Bible tells us that when Jesus went into a temple & found it had become a place of wicked money lenders and others he was angry & overturned there tables. Why have we allowed our sacred places of worship to be just like that ?

Genuine question, as someone who was taking an interest in re joining the faith, how on earth can I find a church that isn’t woke and degenerate?. I’ve even thought of becoming catholic or orthodox…..I’m not surprised people are converting to Islam.

Spouting Canon Law’s clauses F15 & F16 (6:35) should hold no sway to any believer as those are laws of men, not god. And Rev Dan’s opinion (8:20) is even more irrelevant on this matter…what’s called for are facts *not* opinions. The only arguments holding any merit must start with laws found in the bible, and correct me if I’m wrong but the Gospels are silent on the matter of cross-dressing so Rev. Dan’s invoking them here (10:50, 14:51) is mere hand waving. Deuteronomy 22:5 however does not mince its words: “A woman shall not wear a man’s apparel, nor shall a man put on a woman’s garment; for whoever does such things is abhorrent to the LORD your God.”, NRSV. Therefore, if a vicar allows a drag show in his/her church then he/she would be aiding and abetting an act of sin in god’s house…your god forbids it so why is the Archbishop of Canterbury not stopping it?
Isn't this something for the church in question to talk about? As you said, you wouldn't allow it in your church and tge CoE isn't going to force you to change your mind or practice. I agree, drag shows are not appropriate because they are sexualised. So are children's 'fashion shows in malls etc. I don't hear Evangelicals objecting to that. In fact, I recall going to a funeral I an Evangelical church and I couldn't believe how sexually provocative was the clothing of so many attending. A couple in front of me couldn't stop fondling each other. I was shocked. It wouldn't happen in a Catholic space.
Still, do recall how bigotted hypocritical and oppresive society and the church has been. People have been beaten and murdered for their sexual orientation.
We all welcome anyone who want to know Christ, who wants and needs help of any kind. Christ died and conquered death so that ANY human being can re connect with their maker and have eternal life
And that’s a lovely thought but in practice in the C of E we see many members of the clergy , like Rev Dan here, who appear to say they are welcoming but only if those people who come in to their church fundamentally change who they are. How is that welcoming ?
@@robertfreeman6082 Lost, unsaved people should not be amongst a gathering of the saints. 2 Corinthians 6 : 14-18 ( King James Bible ) Unsaved people cannot worship Almighty God in spirit and truth. Nor can they discern the scriptures. They do not have the indwelling Holy Ghost of God. Evangelism is not for gatherings of the saints ( prayer, worship and Bible study ). Christians should be out on the streets with the Gospel message. Not in an unbiblical building ( social club )

The Holy Spirit is not there at all. Any church that allows these drag acts in their midst does not honour God, but rather has compromised with the world. To whom was worship and glory being given by allowing this show to be given a platform in this church? We shall judge righteously and pray that there is great sincere repentance in these churches and all concerned.
