This car came to me with the engine light on and in limp mode.
Cam shaft and crank shaft sensors, spark plugs and coil pack, have been replaced by someone else.
After scanning, erase, drive and scanning again, one code came up, P0351.
I then have measured the wires in the coil pack circuit, which are shared with other components circuits, this revealed no issues... but.... something was definitely faulty!...
It took me some time to measure things, and came to a verdict... some wrong judgments in the way, which some of them are actually in the video, it is what happens when you do not prepare things in advance... anyway, the problem was found and solved in the end... not all the diagnosis steps are on the video, but I hope I have shared all relevant info for this case...

Thanks man from Brazil, i have a c4 2.0 here with the same faulty, but cilinder 2, new coil, new spark and keep cutting injector 2 and no ignition on that cilinder, thanks for your help man, congrats 👍

LM Auto Repairs compression is ok, I'll check wirings from coil plug to ECU and then test another BSM. BTW I have a workshop specialized on PSA cars, please check my channel. Thanks man

HI there i am in South AFrica and have a 2004 Citroen C2 1.4 petrol that idles but does not rev. I changed the throttle body and the ABS unit. I should mention that it was involved in an accident and had it repaired from a panel beater the whole left side ( replaced shocks, v-arm step axle and front parts. I have just checked the fused box and realized it may be the cause of the problem because it is broken and the wires are in a shamble state. I see you changed the fuse box and you say you did not have to code it. The codes it is showing are P0351 and p0352, P1327 ,P2101 which all point to some electrical faults. Should I change the fuse box ? What do you think ?

Hi If the wires are in a shamble, as you say, I would check just that first... Make that there is no broken or short wires, check fuses etc... Thank you for watching!

hi, thanks for sharing! Actually this is common problem on these cars. Tried to open one bcm but couldn't see the board cause the silicon on it. Is there any special liquid that could remove the silicon?

Hi, I have a 2ltr 2006 Citroen c4 Picasso grand. My engine light comes on and a message saying the "Depollution System Faulty". Can you tell me where the Depollution filter is and how I can change it please? Do you have any video footage on this subject?

Wrong approach.. That message is a generic message for emmision faults... it can be something else like the EGR, etc... Scan the car and go from there.... Thank you for watching and for your comment!

Hi mate, I’ve recently bought a Citroen C4 and when attempting to start the car it just clicks however one attempt maybe out of 5 attempts will start the engine. The code reader said P1351 as an error, would that make sense with a P1351 code, would that go hand in hand to stop the engine starting? Also the brake lights aren’t working at all, none of them including the high light? Hopefully you can help as you seem extremely knowledgeable. Thanks.

Ash Wright Hi That code should no give you those symptoms... but hey, it is a Citroen! 😋 Have a look at the live data... when you crank... if you manually active the starter motor relay, does the engine starts ok? Thank you for watching!

p1351 check and clean crank sensor if diesel check glow plug on cylinder 1 brake lights switch on peddle or fuse dont pull things apart like this man all he says is err err err he has a reader lol

I have same symptoms, but the only error showing is for Knock Sensor. I have 2009 1,6 C4 petrol hatchback and I wondered where the knock sensor is located and if it is an easy job to replace. I previously changed the O2 sensor, which has cleared that fault. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi The knock sensor is usually bolted onto the middle of the engine block... Either front or back... not sure on that engine... But you should be able to find it... 👍👍👍

hi there i have watched this video and believe i have a similar problem. i recently bought a new unit and fitted it. when i tried to start the car with the new bcm it showed an anti theft fault. could you offer advice please? does it need to be reset or coded? many thanks, Stuart

May sound silly but did you replace it with the exact same part number,there are different bsm 's .Immobiliser fault will show if you have fitted a bsm that has front fog lamps but the car does not have them and visa versa

hi i have a citrion c3 automatic engine light came garage said it needed a new coil pack changed that changed spark plugs still run in limp mode engine light still on dine diagnostic now found two more faults sensor this was new last year and something else baffeld help

Myra Cleary Hi Without more info is impossible to give any suggestions... Many things can put the car in limp mode... The faults in the ECU, exactly what hare they?

I have got a p0351 and p0352,I`m only getting 8.8 volts at the coils, if i remove the coil pack and crank, no codes, but if i put it in the code comes back, i am looking to get a bsm at the moment

Thank you for the video! I have been searching online for a solution forever! i want to try this as well. I have a puegoet 207 1.4 8v, came up with the anti pollution fault. My mechanic said we should break the catalytic converter out which he did, he installed catalytic foolers upstream and downstream, it didnt work. He then said o2 sensor upstream, cold start switch, new spark plugs then coil pack (its a solid 4 pack unit). I have replaced all of them yet i still get these trouble codes! if you could help i would be extremely grateful!!! Trouble Code(s) P0037: Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Heater - Circuit Low Voltage (Bank 1 Sensor 2) P0500: Vehicle Speed Sensor - Malfunction P1336: Peugeot: Misfire on several cylinders - Catalyst can be damaged P1339: Peugeot: Misfire on cylinder 3 - Catalyst can be damaged

Hi Why you smashed the cat in first place? Makes no sense... What codes did you had initially? All those codes can now be because whatever has been done... My advise, take it to someone who knows what is doing... or the trying and parts cannon that can get you very expensive! Too many things have been messed with, for me to be able to suggest anything... sorry...

Same with my 1400 307, changed coil pack, plugs, whole exhaust including the cat and both sensors , still driving like a pig, beeping every 5 seconds, I feel like fixing it with a sledgehammer...🥵🥵

Myra Cleary Fair enough... but what are the present codes? The crank shaft sensor would prevent the car from starting... so if the car starts, most likely is not going to be that...

Myra Cleary Hi P1336 is indeed for your crankshaft signal... but it might not be the sensor... it cam be a wire problem, or even the ECU itself... P0201, is for a misfiring on cylinder 1... once again it cam be many things causing it... you need to get the car to someone that knows how to diagnose it correctly... otherwise you gona have someone just replacing parts, hopping that they will fix the issue... and when you realise, you have spent loads of money, and a car that still not fixed... Hope that helps....

Hi on these Citroens and purgeots there are no relays they are incorporated on PCB boards so can't change one item . it's all french rubbish.very well diagnosed.

That's what I am saying... you need to get the codes to get any kind of help... Many things can put the car into limp mode (No power, and no speed...), without checking the codes, is purely guess work...
