Funny enough, like right after you posted this - I watched a CJ Stroud Mic'd up segment from this weekend. Apparently his center (Dieter) was drenched in sweat and it was affecting the ball (Prolly why he had to do those funny double grips you were talking about in the video), The clip is pretty funny, he asked the training staff on the side line if they had a second jersey for Dieter because the sweat was more like grease on the football to him.

Allen, Hurts, Murray are fizzling out. Burrow is closest thing to Mahomes. Herbert is a mystery. Stroud definitely seems like that next guy up. Lamar hanging in there too.

Crazy that he’s being compared to both Stafford and Brees. When was the last time a QB was compared to one of the best gunslingers AND one of the best precision passers as a rookie. Feels good to be a Texans fan again

One difference between the INT at the end and the earlier similar throw is that the INT was on the far hash and the completed throw was on the near hash...a much easier throw as well. Stroud had to throw much further and is still figuring out his boundries in the NFL. He pushes the ball downfield like no rookie I've ever seen.

@27:57 About 10 to 15 years ago I downloaded an offensive playbook from a guy whose philosophy with offensive designing is "flexibility above everything." Without the little stutter step, the guy entitled those immediate 30° to 45° angle slants a "Now" route.

Exactly. No one is saying it, but he was concussed on that hit. He had that third and long throw right after, but he seemed like he wasn’t there afterwards. Even in the post game interviews, he seems a little out of it.

On that long td to Dell, he wanted to go to Nico. He was looking at Dell early to draw the safety over , but the safety played it well and jumped to Nicos side as he was ready to let it fly.

At the 16:20 mark the RB would have been wide open to the left with no defenders available. If the RB had run the checkdown route, it may have opened the throw! I know you made that point, but I am learning how to see the passing windows better. Thank you.

#34 was just staring down CJ the whole way. I was Stroud would’ve seen that and just sailed it out of the end zone since it was only 2nd down. As a Texans fan I knew he was going to have a game in which he struggled because he’s a rookie but I also know he’ll learn from this and get better. It will be interesting to watch his growth from year to year

I love my quarterback but man one thing he’s gotta learn is live to fight another down. He makes crazy throws but sometimes he can get overconfident and put the ball in danger. He paid the price for it this game. He should’ve walked away from this game with 2-3 picks on the season but now he has 5.

I watched this video for 2 minutes and can already tell Stroud's receivers get way more separation, and his playbook is not the same 4 plays. Stroud's receivers actually get complex routes. Stroud's in a WAY better situation.

If CJ keeps playing like this all year which imo he has PLAYED the best so far he def should be the MVP.. yes he threw 3 ints this game but thats not normal at all.. yet mahomes has not been playing the best at all and has actually been held total offense to ZERO points in the last 3 games yet some how he still has the best odds to win MVP.. how is that even possible if the award is supposed to be to the best QB in the league? LJ8 isplaying better..Cj is definitely playing better..Since Adrian Petersons legendary accomplishment and imo the best season any RB has ever had won mvp it has turned into a qb award for the nost part

Then there’s also the revenue from RU-vid and maybe a few other things he’s going going on. Then I suggest you go watch the breakdowns he did of Stroud vs CIN in week 10 or his week 3 and week 4 games against the Jags and Steelers. Hell the Bucs had a top 6 defense in terms of points allowed coming into that week 9 matchup and he torched them for 470 and 5TDs...🤦🏾‍♂️🤣🤣🤣 plenty of breakdowns out there of him destroying good/great defenses
