She's basically saying, "You're too wild and badass to be an uptight security douche!" After all, she knows what he can do. He's capable of a great deal more without the rules, job parameters, or laws holding him in place.
I pulled it off for awhile, but the bangs get in your eyes too much (not sure how Leon can fight without that happening). Was still fun to have though, :)
I mean we got Borris Johnson. His hair is actually slightly less unkempt compared to most. But he does look like an anime protagonist that has an outlandish hairstyle than the plain crowd.
Haha exactly what I was thinking. She’d be freaking out “Why did I say that? What was I thinking? But he did laugh, so maybe it wasn’t so bad. Maybe I still have a chance. Oh goddamnit”
I would say brilliant callback. But I still think that so called fight between Leon and Claire was stupid. I kinda hate the fact that they made Claire actually seem like the naive hotheaded kid that she implies Leon sees her as. Like did she really think putting that over the news was gonna change anything when the culprits were literally one of the most powerful people on earth. Who would not only wipe out the information before it can make any impact but also wipe her out the moment she’s registered as a threat, just like how they killed the literal American president in RE6. Claire should’ve placed her trust in Leon instead of taking this personally. Also it’s even stupider that she tried to have that talk in that area(White House) where those people(the family) definitely will be looking over. She was literally painting a target on her back. Thankfully Leon saved her. But in this process landed up getting unnecessary ire from Claire. In conclusion I kinda hated the way they ended infinite darkness on that note, even more so because their is no season 2.
@@LegendaryTalesandTrails There is a season 2 actually....They cancelled the Live Action series! They also said that Wesker (Maybe Alex wesker) was returning for the 5th Episode
Yeah, they aren't really consistent with characters' interactions from game to game, movie to movie, etc. It can actually be kind of jarring. Like in RE2R, Claire and Leon were down to earth and friendly, thrilled to see each other made it in the end. Yet here, they're barely like coworkers on a project team. Then the rather significant, friendship-ending disagreement happens at the end of this movie, but it is like it never happened when they meet again in "Death Island." (But I will say they still seemed a bit more distant one would expect of friends. ) And look at simpy Leon and self-assured, professional Ada of RE2R. Yet, when they meet again in RE4R, and he's all cool and professional (as we'd expect now that he's an agent), but she's suddenly all sexy, suave-noir spy girl? His question to her should not have been about the greeting, but why she was suddenly talking like that! And really, for all these people supposedly being close friends, they don't seem to recognize each other or know what each other is doing with their lives! (Claire can never seem to find Chris, Chris and Leon and Leon and Ada fight pretty heavily before recognizing who each other is, and Leon, tho supposedly very close to Sherry only "hears (she) became an agent?")
Its a show but honestly it should have been a movie instead, and I was a little disappointed there were not easter eggs of chris, the only closest to Chris of a Easter egg was the ending when it showed tricell that leads up to re5 that chris is in to take down
@@Valenfield5 the quality of re would stay the same if chris never existed, it'd probably even go up. jill and leon have always been the poster children of the series, but you barely see complaints over either having a "missed" cameos. chris fans will not survive the winter.
It really pains me that Nick (Leon’s VA) won’t be in Death Island despite Stephanie (Claire’s VA) returning. These two knocked it out of the park in both Infinite Darkness and 2Remake
@AhetoBLEH you mean Nick? Yeah, he still voiced Leon in RE4 Remake. Matthew seems to be voicing Leon in this movie, like I mentioned, due to Nick being busy with RE 4 Remake
@@outerheaven3414 do you know that Nick was busy doing that (RE4R voice work) though? Someone else had mentioned that it simply had to do with the fact that "Death Island" comes out of the "current" timeline (remakes not counting) and so Capcom wanted to go with the most recent Leon in THAT timeline, which was RE6 Leon, voiced by Matt.
I was deeply disappointed too (that Nick didn't voice Leon in "Death Island.") I would have loved to hear more of older (RE4R) Leon! Thing is, "Death Island " Leon was unfortunately more the "main timeline" Leon (more action game-y, like RE6) than the new and improved RE4R Leon. So I suppose Matt Mercer did fit that bill better (and he does RE6 Leon, along with "Damnation.") He's not bad--and he fits the action Leon great!--but I just really appreciate both the character, his arc, and his aesthetic so much more in the remakes. I wish they'd remake RE6 using the RE2R/RE4R character/aesthetic changes and then incorporate THAT into RE9, when it stars (I hope!) Leon once more (and finishes off his character arc).
It’s a bit weird going back to this after RE4 remake. Leon here sounds closer to how he did in RE2 remake despite taking place after RE4. Nick Apostolides did a great job showing the age and experience difference between the two game versions but it’s like he wasn’t directed to do that at all here
@@Chernobog2 Yep, this is actually set in the OG timeline in 2006 after the movie "Resident Evil: Degeneration" That's why Claire looks like Revelations 2 Claire and Ashley looks closer to the original. They used the remake VAs for some reason though...
Wtf? You mean Leon simps for Ada and apart from Ashley who’s basically a child pretty much every other woman he met friendzoned or rejected him like Hunnigan
I love that RE makers put some extra effort on making every canon Leon/Claire interaction this akward lmao They know what we want, and all they give us is a middle finger. I guess they saw the fanart and memes.
I doubt they will ever outdo her Darkside Chronicles looks, they made her super pretty in that game. No exaggeration, but easily one of the prettiest female character designed ever.
I can't get over Clair's dead eyes when she's looking at the drawing when Leon is looking at the drawing lol Updated: for reference the moment is at 0:45
Surely one day Capcom will give us the good ending and Leon and Claire will become an item.... surely it won't be long after we've all died of old age waiting the whole time
Leon is having ptsd while looking at the pic. Amazing how they gave that moment of what he experienced in Racoon unlike in videogames where he's being pushing forward.
Seriously, why isn't Leon and Claire a thing by now? Jokes aside, I really do like them as a couple even though everyone wants him to be with Ada or in some gay relationship.
@CallieClicks Seems they both chose different professions, though. One works for the government, and the other works as a self-employed mercenary. It would never work out. Especially if Ada is a wanted felon
I remember running to the White House in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, and in that same place. "Hammerdown is the affect, i repeat. Hammerdown is in affect" Is it just me, that Claire's design here is more like Mary Jane than what Insomniac new Spiderman game currently looks like.
0:54 Poor Leon. Wants to offer his two cents on the matter but Claire blurted out the whole "on record" thing. They're both in a government building with Leon on active duty, he's still trying to protect her while serving the house. Conspiring is such a messed up thing.
I like this movie, but one thing always bugs me. Okay so Leon and Claire haven’t seen each other since 1998 and from memory this takes place in 2006, so it’s been EIGHT YEARS since these two last spoke and their reunion feels like they just met the other day. It just feels a bit meh to be honest. Edit: I stand corrected, I didn’t see degeneration. Blasphemy, I know
Ok as everyone already pointed out, they met not to long ago, so it wasn’t a long awaited reunion. On top of that. They have met on occasions other than the ones we saw in degeneration or here, because in game files tell us Claire set a meeting to make Leon and Chris meet. So what they are trying to imply is that. At the very least Leon & Claire do somewhat hang out together even when it’s not shown, just like how Leon and Ada meet when it’s not shown on screen. Leon and Claire specially also have Sherry between them. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Claire quite possibly meets Leon if he’s available, when she’s visiting Sherry or maybe generally to if she’s nearby. Vice versa for Leon.
