I’ve always thought that Kal’s greatest power was his ability to control his immeasurable strength. It’s one thing to catch a falling airplane out of the sky, but to be a able to even shake someone’s hand without crippling them is a feat of its own merit.
That's one of the major plot holes man he has that much strength and there are some instances were ge gets angry but never looses control even with inanimate objecta which makes no sense and the same goes for kryotonight if his species is sooo technologically advanced why did they never implenet a suit to block it and if there is why doesnt super man use one
@TheEmperorOfViltrum If you are a wingman, hypothetically- someone pulls kryptonite. You can pick it up and throw it away. Then let Supes back at him. That's the only scenario that makes sense, lol.
Is it wrong for me to kinda hope he does know, when Clark catches him slipping id love to see his face as he is hurdling through space fast enough that he doesn't even have time to freeze or die from lack of air before he splats into the surface of the sun
Having been on the receiving end of such a thing in injustice the key isn’t in surviving the trip there it’s surviving re entry that separates the children from the amazonians in my case.
@@jen-EL Man of Steel Supes was an amateur who hadn't gotten a firm grasp on his capabilities at that point. The Clark in this show is definitely much older and more mature.
@@4_xk so he intentionally flinched thinking it would move him somewhat? Like reacting to a stone being thrown not knowing it won’t hurt you. Guess that makes sense.
There's literally nothing stopping said bully from coming back for clark or his family at a later date at any time when he's not there or his guard is down, and with backup. Unless you're superman in tv land, all this would do is escalate the situation into a potentially bigger problem and would require clark to constantly look over his shoulder and babysit his family 24/7. This is not how you deal with a bully irl.
@@guysabol8743 Even a mild mannered man would become a menace for his family. Heck, for the most part I'm a pacifist, but once you touch who I love, something wakes up that really should stay asleep, and I'm pretty sure many of you can relate.
The best part is missed, when Lois told him what happened and he went to the door she said this wasn't a job for Superman and he said good cause he's not going
@@fortunegtl5195 - Not a movie, it’s a tv show that airs on the CW network here in the US. You can google it as long as you’re searching from a country that doesn’t strangle your access to the full internet.
Man Tyler is the true heir to the live-action superman. I get why people wanted Cavill cause he had the look and deserved a redemption from Snyder’s terrible writing, but Tyler pulls off the look all on his own and he perfectly encapsulates both the terror and subtle darkness of superman whilst maintaining the wholesome adorkable personality that made superman so beloved in the first place. Tyler is a real one and he deserved more then anyone to be the long-term dcu superman.
imagine his self restrain... and the look on Lana's face, because she already knew that he's superman... you don't want to be in a light-years range of a really pissed off superman after someone threatened his family
Exactly- also he had the guy by the back of the neck- the restraint he had to not twitch randomly and just crush the dudes first few cervical vertebrae
I'm sure the urge to throw him one handed through a wall was immense. Clark is even scarier when he's just Clark standing up for his family than when he's Superman.
Reminds me of that old superman movie where he throws a man sliding all the way to the end of the counter table. It was kinda goofy 😂 but it was more of a family friendly
Definitely a great Clark Kent moment. He's angry, yet restrains himself. He doesn't attack, he counters. Despite this video missing the key part, Clark only threatened Emmitt to protect his family, and he threatened to do within the limits of the law. Clark Kent is usually a good guy, but you don't ever mess with the family of a good guy.
I think Todd helbing said that this scene was meant to be a more modern approach to that scene back in superman 2 which I love that they did it cause it made the entire show worth it to me
the funny thing is, if you look at batman’s wiki page, one of his powers is listed as “intimidation”. the fact that it’s plausible that bruce actually did teach clark some menace lessons makes your comment even funnier
Its frightening how close to the surface injustice superman is in all his incarnations. As the joker would say, "madness is like gravity, all it takes is a little push."
This is one of the best shows on TV right now, very realistic with how they balance family problems with a super hero as a father!!! This scene was very good and showed the extreme human side of Clark Kent , after the guy runs out , Clark looks at the guys Daughter and his demeanor changes to the more friendly Clark and he tells her I'm sorry you had to see that ! with a little smile, and you realize he is truly Superman and you are glad that he is on our side! Great show with great messages and it's not woke or political it's just heartfelt entertainment!
One of the calmest ass kickings Clark has ever given. And you gotta appreciate the finesse involved when this man punches through tungsten like its tissue paper. The restraint is unsung and yet legendary.
"Damn Kent" right after this is so great too. The effect in Man of Steel was better when the guy bounced off of Clark but on TV budget this is still really good. One of my favs.
I think stories were he is leaning towards this version always end up in calamity. Can't have Clark this way without Superman doing the same. Worst case scenario, you get Injustice, best case scenario you get more apathetic Superman from Justice League gods and monsters
Logic master . Except on this show, almost every villain has kryptonite so he has plenty of equals . He gets almost killed almost every episode. Even Manheim s wife almost killed him in the last episode. So he's allowed to act more human, like in this scene
Such a powerful interaction!! Loved this whole scene!! I'm really enjoying this series as a whole! "How does Superman deal with being a husband, father and Superman? So amazing!!!
When Clark lowered his head and said, "I'll come for you." Batman started cheering with pride as he screamed to Alfred "That's my boy! I taught him that!!"
And when she heard the guy had hit Clark's son and pulled a gun on Lois was most likely thinking "and Clark hasn't thrown this guy through a wall yet? Lois must have told him to play nice."
So Noone else hears the background song? It's by the group called FIVE FOR FIGHTING the songs name is Superman ( it's not easy). The song is like 23 years old it's a nice song and it's touching because well it's playing in a Superman episode 23 years later. ❤
🔥🔥🔥i love the call back to Chris Reeves Superman at the diner in the movies with the bully truck driver bearing him up when he removed his powers to be normal. This here is a super twist on that scene.
@@leonwatson4679 you telling me there’s an actual man in real life who won’t even budge from their strength even the tiniest bit when pushed AND expecting their opponent to do what Emmet did? The man literally bounced off Clark who didn’t even budge to begin with
The amount of control Clark had just to make sure that man didnt go splat on that table Homelander style is amazing. Man living in a world of cardboard.
He had that Derek Hale I am the Alpha moment. But the restraint it took for Clark to not hurt him especially after struggling the last few episodes with the love his life being sick then his son beaten and bruised and a gun pulled on her it sent him over the edge.
That shows a lot of restrain from Clark. He could have broken that man’s neck yet he just showed a glimpse of his strength. He was angry and upset, he could have thrown him across the room, but he didn’t. He indeed is a Superman because no matter how angry he is he will never harm a human
So sweet that Kyle started to stand up, about to defend Clark. He's a good guy at heart and I think he gets way too much grief and an enormous overreaction for his actions when he's tried so hard to redeem himself. Such an underrated character
I love right before this scene, Lois just told him what happened and he got all pissed and ready to go and Lois was like "Hey, this isn't a job for Superman!" And clark is like "Yeah, HE'S not going". Gotta love seeing the reuly human side of Clark every so often
Clark didn't have to be Superman on this one but being a father and a husband to protect his family . I'm sure every father would do this . Christopher Reeve would be proud.
@@kgunitkeese17 He wouldn't because that would be everything Batman fears. Batman is grateful that Superman identifies with humanity rather than trying to rule over it with the immense power he has.
This was literally the realest and best scene of the series. The best part is everyone's reaction to seeing this usually, "Aww, geez" type of guy go full protective husband on a disrespectful jerk.
