You know, when a dude comes onto you with mach speed, dragging you around like a toy and is completly untouched by your powers...and that dude asks you were a girl is you are just in this very moment trying to drown...maybe don't try to tell him your "super-sad" lifestory.

He was trying to appeal to him so he understands why he did what he did so Clark can pity him and go easy, maybe even let him go. It’s a last resort defense mechanism. A pitiful desperate plea, but it’s all he knew how to do, because he’s never been held accountable.

The version of Lois Lane in Smallville is pretty good. Erica Durance is lovely. I first saw her on an episode of SG-1. She played Teal'cs neighbor.

I watched that episode a few years ago. It came out right around the time she started in Smallville. I only saw her on Smallville until she had that show with Michael Shanks and then I watched the SG-1 episode.

Maybe just me but Clark was angier at Geoff than I expected him to be with Lois in danger. I wonder if it was intentional on the writing/direction coming off the heels of just losing Alicia in the previous episode or maybe a choice on Tom Welling's part to play up the underlying care he has for Lois, especially considering this is a point in the series where they're not even friends/barely like each other.

Chris Carmack was also in The Butterfly Effect 3, which I thought was actually a pretty cool film. Not the same or as good as the original but I think did some interesting things and didn't feel my time was wasted.

Lois got to Clark when she said using his powers made him pathetic. That finally got him to give up football even though he loved the game.

Yup. I remember when this episode was teased for that week they kept mentioning about the guest star being from The OC.

@@tdtellem Yeah, TV stars were cross-promoted back then. The WB promoted their TV shows a few times by getting their actors on different shows of theirs, but sometimes got actors outside their network who were a big deal because their shows were popular.
