The line “Hold on to Smallville never forget. I won’t because it will always be with me no matter where I go.” Hits so different after all these years. I’ll never forget you Smallville.
Wow. I almost cried then. And watching this scene again, I still get choked up. It hurts losing a parent and worse when you can't let go. Tom was great in this scene. Very sincere. You can feel it.
Losing one parent is hard-losing both is devastating. Even though you know that it will eventually happen, you can’t help feeling like an orphan-sailing alone in the world with no anchor.
@@hestiaa9354 true I already lost one parent and it’s suck but losing two parents that got to be sad and devastating for people who has not only lost one parent but two parents
YES ‼️ same thing here in Arkansas I lost both of my mom and dad and grandparents and great grandparents to old age and Alzheimer memory lost in 2007 and my mom in 2019 March .
That's true for all fans we will never forget Smallville it's always going to be with us forever it was truly the foundation for Arrow and Flash. That's why I find it extremely disrespectful that Tom did not get enough time on Smallville he should have been a paragon not Lex Luthor Jon Cryer... especially the way Tom I mentioned Lex Luthor when he punched Jon Cryer on the crossover he made it seem like that Michael Rosenbaum Lex Luthor would have made an appearance at some point in the crossover
I'm sorry but the way Crisis handled his version of Superman was perfect. It made perfect sense for Clark to eventually give up his powers in favour of settling down. Also worth noting that in the season 11 comics he dealt with his own version of Crisis and one shotted the Omega Monitor after he literally resisted being erased using his unstoppable willpower. The Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover would have been over in an instant if he still had his powers.
I am not saying goodbye, because I know both of our parents will always be with us. I will always hold on to them, and Smallville, and the lessons they taught us. We love you Mom and Dad. Rest in peace. They were a lot like Martha and Johnathan, good people always willing to help someone in need if they could.
@Rómulo Figueroa i totally agree. To think Kingdom Come Superman had his entire life taken from him, and yet he didnt give in and continued to be the best version of himself. And this asshole after ten years of SMALLVILLE, all those Trials and losses, and he gives up his powers? It's so dissapointing. Honestly, when all the Earth's come back presumably, i hope this one never does.
@Project Trade and Rómulo figueroa He give up his power bcos he succeed in protecting his earth. When that 3 fucker come to him and talk abt lex he nonchalantly talk abt him (the president) if lex still a villain clark will never let him stay as president. Also in smallville he beat all other comic book superman enemy so it safe to say that there are no more big threat in his earth. Well maybe except for petty criminals but supes is above that
Rómulo Figueroa he can get them back anytime he wants, he just has to take the watch off, the back of the watch is made out of blue kryptonite, it basically just removes his powers, therefore green or red kryptonite become ineffective due to him not having powers.
After all the crap we had to go through, all the damn trials and heartache, just so you could give up your powers after 8 years of being superman to have two daughters . Damn it!
But it's not Smallville Clark that did that. In order for that to fit, Clark would have had to give up his powers in , At the very least, 2015. But he was still shown to be active well past then. Therefore, it was not the Smallville earth.
Because your dad died? That's where the similarities end, so you can get in line behind the other 500 idiots that think having a parent die makes them special.
Everybody blames themselves for things that's not really their fault. Clark blamed himself for John after changing time to save Lana. Then sees John exploded on Lionel, giving himself a heart attack. Telling someone it wasn't really ur fault sometimes helps, but I think we all need to c it for the message to really sink in. That'll help anyone to let go and move. I know it can't really happen (time travel) but it would b nice for closer.
Even though I really wasn't close to my aunt who died from covid-19. However I was really close to my uncle around the time he died it was a few weeks or a few months before or after this episode was aired on the CW I still refer to the wb because back then to wb. was better
I forgot was this the scene when Oliver Queen Justin Hartley told Clark Kent that the day that he said goodbye to the dark past is the day he put on the green Hood... I mean after all that is a true hero origin story of hero face in the darkness to reach the light to become what he's meant to become or she is meant to become.. just like how Supergirl didn't really become Supergirl until she defeated her aunt in the finale right after CBS canceled the show
You know if I was in my grandfather and godmother's graves I would had a chance to tell them of how much I missed them along with my family as well, if I had something of their belongings I would also put them in front of their graves too in a way of how I'm moving on with my life and even though I'm still sad that they passed away I'm still moving on with my life in a that I'm trying to find a way to do something good for the future and for myself to make them feel proud of me.
It😲would be cool if Tom👦Welling could wear his real Superman suit in the crisis🌍crossover and see him talking to his father's⚰️grave while placing a🌹flower near the grave like in other animated🎬films.
clark should blame himself it was his fault jonathan died if he never put on the red k ring jonathan never would have made that deal with jor-el clark set the thing in motion.
Tom Welling outright said he didn't want to wear the tights. He wanted to play Clark Kent, not Superman. All the different outfits and names were him trying to figure out who he was as a hero. Also, what's with the gym line? You'd melt wearing a jacket like that in the gym. And if you're talking about Tom's physique, he's been a mountain of humanity since Smallville first started.
The tights are not important here, at least not in a tv show focused on Clark Kent's life. Actually, I prefer the type of modern clothes they used in Smallville, than the old ones we've seen in the comic books. This was aired in 2010, so a leather jacket is more realistic (even today), than a spandex leotard with the underwear on the oustide.
@@MartinPittBradley Tom was in great shape. The entire point of Smallville was to focus on Clark Kent, not Superman. You want Superman, there are other shows to watch. The fact you're whining this much proves you missed the entire point of a decade-long show.
