@@bobkin611 The rioters took offence to the license plates on two of the cars, H982 FKL and 269 KNG they felt these were insulting references to their loses in the Falklands war.
I actually hate that last clip. It's literally a prank like those fake-ass youtubers who get away with doing annoying and maybe even damaging stuff and say "iT'S jUsT a PrAnK bRO" as an excuse. Always hated those. Not cool. Stop it.
Jeremy showed incredible restraint at the end protest, although the guy who handcuffed himself to the door was incredibly close to having his free hand held by Jezza whilst being "educated" on personal property/space. 😆 That could've gone south a pile of different ways, not to mention unfunny.
It's funny how the Argentineans were SO confident that the UK wouldn't intervene after the HMS Endurance left the area and proposals to cut military spending, so they sent soldiers fresh out of high school to take South Georgia and the Falklands who faced starvation and lacked adequate clothing and shelter...and Britain clapped back hard after sailing there for two weeks, even WITH all the landmines the Argentines set up (landmines that were there until late 2020; which the local penguins thrived on because it meant no development plus protection). Gave the civilians hope that Britain DID care about these isolated islands. And as part of the lesson they learned, Britain built a RAF station there where tourists can take a flight to from Chile and seasonally from Brazil and Argentina.
I really don't understand that last clip. Just go and annoy Jeremy Clarkson as much as possible? I was impressed by him actually, he seemed to be remaining pretty reasonable about it. I'm pretty sure dumping a load of soil on the car is gonna damage it, and isn't impersonating a police officer a criminal offence?
On private property, no. Otherwise anyone wearing fancy dress (to a party) could be arrested. It is always a good idea to let the local police know however especially if it's going to be taking place out in public areas. Funny story. I'm a serving officer in a British police service, two of my colleagues a few years back got called about "Fake policemen". They turned up and two blokes dressed in 'uniform' but had American sheriff badges, both were arrested and taken into custody. It wasn't just the fact they were in uniform it was also the fact they were telling people they were police officers which they knew obviously wasn't the case, and thus deception.
@@thefiestaguy8831 to be fair, these blokes were saying they were police officers too, and reading him his Miranda rights, which seems a little more than fancy dress
@@amyshaw893 No such thing as Miranda rights, it's just referred to as "the Caution" in the UK and is a legal requirement for any arrest to be lawful. Impersonating police is more about dressing up as police officers and then approaching random members of the public on the street and specifically acting in a way that portrays the intent for them to believe you are an officer. The local police were aware and knew about it, the vehicle looks like an actual police vehicle as a lot of county forces use that exact vehicle. Impersonating police in this situation would never stick. In the same way that Trollstation can regularly dress their actors as policemen or traffic wardens without getting into bother. They only approach other actors and not members of the public, it just happens to be in public. The moment you dress as an officer and approach a random member of public and start trying to claim authority over them is when it becomes an offence.
Jeremy: Please don't hit me with your riot shield Policeman: 2:58 Jeremy: *Understandable, have a great day* Context for those who have never seen the Patagonia special: Clarkson's Porsche in that special had the license plate "H982 FKL". This was interpreted by Argentinos as a reference to the 1982 Falklands War, hence the "Las Malvinas son Argentinas" car being there as a protest at 5:45. Heck, Ushuaia's airport is literally called Ushuaia-Malvinas Argentinas as well as a big war monument to the fallen Argentine soldiers in the middle of the city. Because of the tensions due to their arrival, they fled to Chile. And for the following series, each segment introduction would have a reference to Chile like a Chilean flag mug to thank Chile for its sanctuary.
Honestly if it was me I would take him to jail. I mean staging something like that is technically against the law he could literally sue them for this. That would be fun y as shit if this all backfired on them.
@@likeablecloud2454 jeremy should've beaten up the guy who was handcuffed to his car. People think it's okay to do this to him just because he's outspoken and sometimes resorts to resolving conflicts the old fashioned way. Dumping soil on his car went beyond anything Ant and Dec have done with any other celebrity and Jeremy should've broken up with his girlfriend for allowing them to do this even if he does have plenty of other cars. What those 2 idiot Geordies failed to realise is that Jeremy knows the laws of the country far better than they ever could and this is exactly why I don't watch their stupid childish nonsense anymore.
Argentina really didn't do itself any favours there and it was genuinely embarrassing. We too have license plates that we aren't very fond of in Germany for obvious reasons and that are illegal, even. Yet, if there was foreigners with registrations from where they are from, we wouldn't lose our cool like that. We would make them aware of what it could be interpreted as and how it isn't exactly what you should have as a license plate but assaulting them, especially if it's like top gear.... yea no. And to be honest, I am not sympathetic about this behaviour Argentinians have shown here. That being said I do understand that the people that were that hostile do not represent Argentinians and Argentina in general, but they unfortunately did a huge amount of damage. And regarding the ant and deck one.... yeah, no...
Because whenever their government screws up they try and take people mind off the fact they have no money by trying to convince them that by invading the falkland islands their economy would magically improve.
As a staunch, life-long vegetarian I think it is properly atrocious that some 2-bit local councillors are taking what power they have and attempting to tell others what to eat. Battery farming is disgusting, but it is nowhere as destructive as unchecked human authorities forcing decisions on other humans - shows a near unforgiveable ignorance of history among the Oxford council.
Will you do a compilation of the trio using things not for their intended use, like clarkson using a shotgun to trim weeds and branches, or using caravans for conkers
@@thfreakinacage if you remember when Clarkson had a chat show his microwave bits alone could fill a video. Cd, lighting a smoke... the clay pidgeon shootint with the longest gun I have ever seen to destroy a crooning Frank Sinatra dish...
actually radar was discovered by two germans it was also patented by one of them, the first working radar was created by a scotsman and built it in the UK in the second world war.

Ya but seriously the soil thing doesnt need yet another protest. It's care and worries that need not to be expressed by shouting, waving fists and dumping soil (which is ironically exactly what don't want - displacing soil) Soil doesn't have feelings so it doesn't mean a damn thing how emotional you get over it but it is alive and needs manure and shade to prosper
I hate ecomentalists that leave their cushy concrete jungles to berate those who care more than they do bc the farmers rely on that soil more than any other.
@@samdherring exactly the worst thing to do is to tell the people who work the soil about soil lol althought stressing the need for shade along with manure cannot be overstated :x
@@koalabear1984 agreed. Working on my family's farm makes me a bit agitated by people like the ones in the staged video though bc there genuinely are people that do that.
That last clip was just cringey as fuck to watch and I actually felt bad for Jeremy and his Range Rover. Ant and Dec on SNT are/were usually pretty chill and entertaining but this wasn't their best idea. It wasn't even funny just annoying and blood boiling, it's the same with these RU-vidrs who go around and "prank" people for views and likes and cry "it's just a prank bro!" when the person they "prank" almost punches them in the face or pulls a gun on them. TikTok is full of these types of "pranksters" I wouldn't recommend that app to anyone unless you want a headache and like cringey content.
I dont agree with the tipping of soil on Jezzas car,if that was me,prank or no prank, i would of kicked of big time, does worry me that one day someone will have a heart attack.
Ummm, so that prank at the end, yeah? I laughed my ass off. The soil has feelings, did you see Jeremy Clarkson's face? 😂😂😂😂 But they shouldn't have emptied the digger's contents on the car. That will actually chip and damage the paint. If they were actual protesters, they would have been arrested for destruction/damage of property, just claiming that act was a joke doesn't change the fact that pouring multiple kilos of soil on the roof can damage the paint or worse. 🤦🏼 Someone didn't think this ending through.
Based on that clip, then surely they could’ve lodged a protest against it (and her) because she didn’t ask for the people who were against to vote. She just went “All in favor raise your hands. Motion passed.”
The last one was the worst. You can't go around destroying someone's property and saying it's a prank, chill out. I am surprised Clarkson kept his cool.
I've followed these 3 guys since I was born, and yet I never knew about the prank on Jeremy. Absolutely genius. Jeremy has to be one of the most difficult people to crack. I honestly believe if the soil actually crushed his car, he wouldn't have cared, as he said "I have other cars". Like I said, if they destroyed it, I'm 99.99% sure Jeremy would have been pissed, but would have made a joke about it somehow. Also thank god James is okay....
Shit take. He was furious on the verge of tears due to the restraint. And the entire prank was in awful taste, and was very mean spirited. You should read the other comments here and open your fucking eyes if you think it was genius, goober.
The last time wasn't very nice at all, it was like they were trying to make him punch someone, but I guess he already learned to not punch people before
I don’t get how anyone could find that last thing funny, you know there are also stones in soil? You know how much it costs to repaint a range rover? Nah I’d still be angry… don’t know how Jeremy kept his composure there…
