William Russell should DEFINITELY have written his memoirs.

So cute how Anneke took over the interview, and the way she looked at William Russell!

William Russell is right - William Hartnell was very accomplished in comedy. Take for example the Peter Sellers film "The Mouse That Roars" - Mr Hartnell stole the show when he started petting the bomb like he was trying to calm a nervous cat! It was classic.

It's so great that people like Carole Ann Ford, William Russell and Waris Hussein are still with us to tell the tale. It must be incredible for them that this one thing they did became this incredible hype that is still around today.

I'd be interested to see Warris Hussein direct a Modern Era DW episode before he dies.

@@nekusakura6748 That would be pretty cool. It's a shame the 60th already announced its directors as it would have been a suitable situation to use him again.

@@nekusakura6748 Which would be cool as well, but the 60th would have been a great occassion to make it even more special.

@@timrob12 A missed opportunity for sure. It surprises me that he wasn't chosen to direct the 50th anniversary special now that I think about it.

Fun Fact: William Russell only had one line in Superman: The Movie. Never the less, Russell actually memorized more lines than Marlon Brando did.
