Been watching you for years and after awhile it’s hard to remember all the equipment you’ve bought . An idea for a future video would be to take us on a walk through your entire equipment inventory, both running and awaiting repair.

How much equipment does Matt have? Yes, the answer is yes. Is a lot of it old, crusty, and a bit rusty? Also yes, does it all work? Probably.

If there ever is a time Matt doesn't have anything else to make a video on, that would be a great filler. But as he said, making this one "provided the opportunity" to make three more.

Just a thought... I would certainly enjoy seeing you do an "inventory" video. Going through your fleet, brief history like where you got it, what it took to get it going, repairs, etc. and whether you have included it in a video or not and planned repairs/improvements for the future. I know I've seen most of the vehicles at one time or another, but some of them aren't jumping into my brain right now (like Cub Cadets by the handful). Doesn't have to be nit-picky... just a basic description. I really enjoy the channel... seems like you're living the dream!

As a long time Heavy Equipment Operator / Diesel Mechanic. It's very had to teach it. Seat time & feel of each Equipment is the trick. Each Equipment got its own feel. You can get in 2 Excavators brand new same time serial # be like 00001 & 00002 and they will have different feels of the operating. I seen some people do it with amazing operating skills. I seen some people no matter how much seat time & training they lucky to rate at average Operator at most. As 63 year old man. To this day every once in while head Foreman ask myself jump in Rock Truck & show them young employees just how to haul Rock. After few hours I lap the whole fleet them young boys get embarrassed & speed up. Yes I spin them 360 around sometimes mainly road unexpectedly watered little too heavy. I still think Rock Trucks are fun to run. Moving the most Material daily safely is the difference between a successful mine or mine shut down everybody go job hunting.

from my point of view there are 2 types of operators; 1; working clean, thinking before digging. at the start of a job it is usually a bit slower but will make up time along the project. And the other type operator is making a mess but getting it done fast. atleast; fast at the start but after a while getting slowed down by his own mess

Pro tips: Get yourself some PPE for the chainsaw, at least some chaps, it hurts less cutting into chaps than it does cutting into your leg. And when cutting up those logs, if you don't have wedges, jam some sticks into the top cut, it'll stop the log pinching down on the bar and preventing damage to it.
@DieselCreek
@DieselCreek Год назад
I used wedges on a few trees there. I’ve also cut my leg pretty good before with the saw, I would do it again before I wear those stupid chaps. Those things are hateful

Hey Matt. To protect your new shop floor from damage especially when you want to run tracked vehicles in for repair or service. I suggest you source a old used belt from a Corrugator. It’s a belt similar to a strap you use to tie down semis with. It’s usually about 1/2-3/4” thick and 87-96” wide. Very tough and flexible. It can be easily cut with a circular saw. I worked at a corrugated plant for 25 years. People would use the belt for all kinds of things. I think you can get them for cheap once the plant is done with them. They are heavy, so hauling them will require a big truck or heavy duty trailer. Cheers. Love the channel.

It must be a blessing that God has allowed you to acquire the machines you have. Don’t think I’ve seen a previous video in which you used so many of them: Kobelco, Komatsu excavator, 10K lbs Forklift, skid steer with forks and gripper, Dozer and dump truck. How many many machines have you bought and restored? How about a lineup. Praise God all this work done and no injuries.

Very good, this time we are entitled to subtitles for French people who do not easily understand American English. Amazing to be back in operation after so many years, truly exceptional. I'm not a fan of cable machines, the next one will be steam 😁

Hats off to a grafting one man band - well done on getting so much done. Kinda liked the breakdown - gives us another interesting vid to watch as you try to fathom out how to fix that track :)

Love your video’s Matt, always looking forward for the next one! Unbelievable you have so many Cub Cadets. My uncle and nephew (big IH fan) has been looking for one here in the Netherlands for ages but they are very expensive and hard to find. Keep going on, you are getting my thumbs up every time.

Wow, as usual a ton of work!!! I loved the time lapse with some great audio/music. I can’t imagine how much effort/work was used in editing this production. I look forward to seeing the repairs on the Komatsu sp?? Thanks for bringing us along. 😊😊😊 ken

Great lookin spot! You might want to plant cover with tough roots to tie that steep slope down. Those trees were helping to keep it from eroding.

have to get the new fill in to soften the slope first.

If you think about it look at the trees that you have taken down . When you start taking the trees down for your new house it will help

If you keep having to move non-functioning equipment it might be worth your while to get a good sized skid plate. It makes things so much easier to move and will do a lot less damage to the ground under it. Great work so far. 🙋‍♂
