Just like Captain Price's first official mission on modern warfare was smoking a cigar on the chopper then smoking a cigar at the last mission of modern warfare 3.
When I first played this mission back then, my mind exploded. I felt i was inside a movie. So real. Wow i almost cried at the end, it was so awesome. I passed it without repeating so the experience was immersive. Best fps ever for me
Exactamundo, 1st Modern Warfare was an outright classic, but MW2 4 me has several missions that has trascended gaming. It feels so realistic, U do feel like U have just been to several battlefields. Simply put, MW2 is an outright Masterpiece.
I remember how much I loved seeing that was Soap, I recognized his last name and I was so shocked to see him in the sequel having been promoted to captain
@@typhoonn3478Another reason was that Price was held up and Gaz was KIA, so there was no other option than to promote him. And yeah Soap was very good combatant.
I believe when you’re at war, rank promotions are way faster and with much less protocol versus when there’s no war. Since you’re on the rush and constantly in missions to end a war, superior commanders just promote you and assume your role. In a no-war moment, I believe you must be recommended, a board must evaluate your candicacy, meet up the necessary requirements and then they decide if they should give it to you or not.
I noticed in Modern Warfare Remastered that when you rig C4 charges, the explosive just magically appears unlike in MW2 Remastered when there’s an animation of you placing the charges
The second I saw the guy riding close to the side down the slope, I *knew* he was gonna crash. But damn! This remaster looks absolutely beautiful! I'm gonna need to get my hands on a copy.
I used to be so addicted to games but not anymore. I thought I'm all grown up so I don't like games anymore, but back then we had games like Fallout 3 and New Vegas, assassin's creed 2, call of duty MW2, Mass Effect 2, Dead Space 2, Batman Arkham City, Battlefield 3, Prototype, just to name a few. It was a simple but happy time.
That most likely won’t happen. makarov thought he left Yuri to die in the underground parking lot below the airport . Before the massacre beings Yuri states he done working for Makarov and he won’t participate in the massacre. That’s when makarov shoots him and then they get in the elevator and when they reach the main floor before the door open up he says no Russian and the mission begins. Yuri only manages to make it after they begun and passes out from blood loss before he can he attempt to stop them. The only way it would fit the timeline is the flashback occurs before the mission and we see it the execute through the CIA agents point of view and the truth about who Yuri is is buried with him after he killed by makarov at the very end of the mission

I'm not a huge fan of the CoD series. However, MW2 has the best campaign I have every played, period. It was like being the main guy in the most awesome and badass action packed movie of the year since the first second of gameplay.
Agreed. I'm not a massive fan either but I also loved the black ops 1 campaign. I'm a sucker for classic espionage stories and that game felt like a really cool 80s action movie.
I remember playing the campaign for the first time back in 2011 when I was 10 and being blown away. This campaign and Black Ops 1 are my all time favorites.
@@pbatesdomination that's not the point He said "Can't imagine how many snowflakes got into Poor Roach and Soap's Eye in Original Modern Warfare 2" You idiot tho Go learn first
I really love every single part of this missions in this game. Nonstop action. How i wish they will develop a new modern warfare with new characters but still intense like these. Thank god to infinity ward. Treyrach is busy in their money making scheme.
@@PNEUMONOULTRAMICROSCOPICSILIC8He said that about Modern warfare, not black ops tho. The black ops series is action packed except bo3 and bo4 while the new reboot series of modern warfare is pretty ass excluding mw19 because it was pretty good.
What I absolutely love about the Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered version of the mission "Cliffhanger", is: First of all, even though they're only for a few short seconds, we see more of Roach than of just his arms. Here, you can briefly see the lower part of his body, as he's slowly shimmying along the side of the mountain with Soap and can be heard shivering, as they're climbing higher up. Second, the climbing part of this mission feels more believable and realistic, not fake and unrealistic, like in the Original Modern Warfare 2. Third, the blizzard makes it harder to see and you have to take it slow and not rush. Fourth, the hidden melee animations are an excellent touch and makes me wish that these were in the Original Modern Warfare 2. They may not be much, but these small details really make Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered better than the Original Modern Warfare 2, by leaps and bounds and why I prefer the remaster over the original.
Not only did soap jumped from one cliff to another like it's nothing, he also hijacked a snowmobile by hooking the driver using a sickle while it's speeding
When you got to a mission with makarov you will see the scene "Remember no russian" And then you kill all russians inside a airport in moscow, while you go to the excavator run back as quick as possible and if your quick you can see *YURI* he was holding a pistol and firing with no accurite sight, this is one of the easter eggs in MW-2 Remaster that shows a character from MW-3.
Well this brings back memories. Wonder how the game would play on the rig I have today. Any how Soap was my fav character, stopped playing the series after they killed him off.
I got this demo disk free with my Xbox 360 back in the day. I had played call of duty finest hour on my dads ps2 when I was really young but I count this mission as my introduction to cod
I love the new updated animation the remastered version has, like you see Roach stands up and lean against the hill at the beginning as an example, looking down as he slowly moves closer to Soap. Then hits the ice, checks the ice to see it's secure then start climbing. Where upon the original he just casually walk toward Soap and begin climbing.
There was a spec op with the same map, about 60 enemies. The mission is to plant c4 asap but i always eliminated all enemies then use gp25 to destroy all the migs and trucks and then head to the rally point😂😂😂
