Clint Hill, Author, "Mrs. Kennedy and Me" 

I ABSOLUTELY love Mr. Hill. Out of ALL the agents & law enforcement there that day, Mr. Hill was the ONLY one to re-act, THE ONLY ONE. !! I have every book he has ever written. Did y'all know he was given up for adoption at 3 months. But I feel it was more an act of love on his mother's part. Do not forget, it was at the time of the Great Depressionwhen for a child to exist, often meant being placed in a home, where the parents could be sure the child would have a steady supply of food. There should be a medal called the "Clint Hill medal for bravery". Some kind of acknowledment for a life well lived. He is the MOST brutally honest, decent, compassionate and most of all, the MOST discreet man who has walked this planet. To know where he worked & for whom, you KNOW this man could, no doubt write a tome about secrets.....But NOT this man, EVER. DISCREET, DECENT & BRUTALLY HONEST !!! I LOVE YOU, MR. HILL !!!

This is the most personal and transparent and interview with Mr. Hill. It had to have been the best of times and the worst of times...I pray he is well.

I loved this book so much I didn’t want it to end. Clint Hill was dedicated to protecting Jacqueline at all costs. A true gentleman and she in return treated him so well.

I have great respect for Clint Hill. You could tell he had tremendous loyalty for Mrs. Kennedy especially when the interviewer questioned him about JFK'S dalliances. You could tell he would do anything to protect her and her character.

Clint Hill is a great hero of the 20th century. He valiantly and at complete risk of his own life made an almost super-human effort to shield both the President and First Lady from repeated gunshots. I have enormous respect for Mr. Hill and thank him for the historical accounts he has shared in his three books.

Oh he tried - and he tried - to get him to say there was more to his relationship than business. So obvious. I admire Mr Hill for his devotion & ability to do the right thing.

Looking back at the tapes of the assassination, have you ever noticed that of all the people around the president and Mrs. Kennedy, you were the only person who responded in any way towards the event. I've heard that you felt that you failed. I don't see it that way at all. Jackie survived. She was your assignment. You will always be a hero to me. I know that you've struggled terribly over the years. I hope that you will have the deep peace that only God gives. Well done good and faithful servant.

Living through the time period, & devastating sadness of Nov 63. I found this discussion to be insightful & informative.

I'm 61 in 2023 and all of my life I had a great deal of respect for the persons from this generation.. Can you imagine who their parents must have been. We are so modern now..lately the world has become very divided. Very interesting times.. Almost impossible to conceive how much the numerous factors that influence people are effecting a history that we are now living. I'm speaking culturally, politically, foreign affairs, and family amount so many other institutions.. Something feels like its moving too fast..I feel very concerned. I think everyone has more in common than not uncommon; especially, things that make us humane and things that matter.. Everyone has become so fearful of certain others.. Like if society collapsed it would be like madmax. I hope that's not how it would be..I do believe that decent people would have to defend themselves against others who may be more angry and violent. Ok. How did I get to this point? Oh yeah; things are changing so fast.

He loved her for sure - but then, who didn't. I've read countless books now, and all JFK's friends loved Jackie. Apparently, though shy, she was funny and fun to be with when she liked you. Even though she was cheap with salary, she had moments of great affection for all who worked for her, and as many said, really charmed the guys. JFK charmed both sexes also. Great book. Loved the stories of the Kennedy's escaping the Secret Service.

Clint Hill - my personal hero.

I lived in the same apartment complex in Alexandria Virginia as this man and I was the family's paperboy back in 63-64 Met him once shortly after the assassination when I was collecting at the end of the month. He opened the door and the apt was completely dark except for one table lamp in the back of the room. He immediately called for his wife and then went and stood against the table with the lamp while his wife paid me. i will never forget his silhouette head down hands in his pockets waiting for me to leave. Spooky!

I am sure Mr. Hill knows very well about Jackie's tobacco addiction ~ not that there was anything wrong with it. It is reported she had 'a three packs of cigarettes a day habit' (for forty years!)edit | Seems Mr. Clint Hill has never ever sensationalized his work with the 5 presidents and their family lives and respects their privacy and memory to this day. He is an unusually fine gentleman.

This video shows a personal side of Mr. Clint Hill. He is a very calm, full of Integrity, very wise and a person of few words. Once he said after feeling guilty of not reaching to cover JFK in Dalas " I wish i was not born". But he has done the very best he could. He would wonder having looking some assaiation such as Anwar Sadat of Egypt, Prime Minister Indra Gandy, Prime Minister Golda Meir of Israel, where the agents were better placed to protect their subjects.

Notice that his responses are direct and immediate, a template many of us might do well to follow.

Very good book. Mrs Kennedy was an interesting person. All these conspiracy comments just prove that everyone cant seem to believe that one moron can change history. Everyone wants to think that cant happen so they feel the need to find cover ups etc that dont exist. Kinda sad. Anyway, his book is interesting, takes me back to the 60's.

Clint Hill was one of the good ones... Jackie didn't want to go to Texas...but needed to go because Jack was beginning his run for 64... She requested Clint to again be her personal guard...she secretly smoked cigarettes and bummed them from Clint, they would smoke together as smokers do form a bond with one another....she probably smoked quite a few after that trip...Clint was infatuated with Jackie, not hard to do. This information came from Jack's secretary Evelyn Lincoln...

Interesting interview,but trod very lightly on the assassination.A question that i would have liked ask him concerns the activities of the secret service detail on the eve of the assassination. In a couple of documentaries the detail are said to be partying in a night club True or false and was Clint there ?

I read something in the general secret service book (kennedy detail) too that says that maybe the driver (greer) thought the first or 2nd gunshot were a car back fire (SERIOUSLY) they had no clue it was gunshot!

The American people deserve to know who was involved in JFK's murder as well.

Clint Hill saved Jackie when she was on the back of the trunk of the car in Dallas and was her trusted confidant her secrets will go to the grave with him. He did not sell out.

They should make a movie about this guy, he comes across as such a decent chap - Jack and Jackie are American Royalty

The secret service definitely phoned it in that day. Surely someone should have realised when all of the usual layers of security were systematically and publicly stripped away. If I were blaming anyone it'd be the Detail.

Clint Hill says he didn't write the book in this interview (listen @ 16:14) he goes to say she wrote the book Ms. .Lisa McCoven and gave it the title of the book, Mrs. Kennedy and Me. Which I find curious that he's given her full credit for writing the book.

I can't understand why anyone would discredit Clint Hill like I see that some do in their comments?? He was THERE, he's a fountain of information, he's not done anything wrong!?! Remember, we're the ones that's asking for info, right? Why shouldn't he tell his story, and get paid, since we're asking??? Clint Hill is only human, and doesen't act any different than all of us would do if we were in his shoes back in 1963.....you know the date!!!!

He’s mentioned before his sunglasses flew off his head when the car accelerated, and Mrs. Kennedy’s hat has been missing since that day. I’ve always wondered who has these articles, and if they’ll ever come to light?

I have the Barbara Gamarekian history that outed Fiddle, Faddle and Mimi (recorded 1864). She made it seem that the three young women flaunted their access to JFK. Dallek was simply the first to read it and then investigate. Even knowing what was happening, Gamarekian still very much loved JFK. Reading other sources, seems they all did. Joan Braden's (close K's friend) autobigraphy makes one think this was common amongst the Washington political set for both men and women of both parties.

Yea it is just that Vince wouldn't want to admit that maybe his hero (while setting himself up for a death wish was a stretch) might have potentially caused himself some harm by driving in an open stretch limo.
