The clutch slave cylinder in 4JJ powered Holden Rodeo/Colorado and Isuzu D-Max models can be tricky to bleed. This video takes you through the process for bleeding these slave cylinders to help encourage fluid behind the slave cylinder piston.

Step 1: Buy a reverse bleeder. Step 2: Ensure the clutch pedal height and master cylinder pushrod free play measurements are correct (manufacturer spec'). Step 3: Reverse bleed following instructions that came with trigger style reverse bleeder pump. Step 4: Ensure clutch fluid level is correct. Clean up & you are done. Use the same method for TF Rodeo & Jackaroo etc.

Need help tryna bleed one of these shit slave cylinders and even isuzu can’t bleed it for us woulda been helpful if u had a link for the reverse bleeding tool

Great video thanks for taking the time to make and post, I've just done the one on my 09 d max but still have no clutch, did the reverse bleed about 5 times, could it be something else? cheers

Check the clutch pedal height & pushrod free play (1-3mm). Should take less than 5 minutes and around 200ml of Dot4 to correctly bleed once you nut it out.

How about getting fluids onto the cylinder before mounting ?

Hello, Pre-filling would assist in the bleeding, but the method shown is the best way to get all of the air from the cylinder and should still be performed even when pre-filling for best results.
