The records exist and you can do a perfectly supported investigation with all the documentation made by the germans - yes, I tell you again, documents classified and archived by the German's themselves. You can find in there the most horrific details of the genocide:, the list of the names, the train origin and destination where they were transported in, what they were wearing, the remaining teeth and prosthetic devices, and you can also see for yourself the mass graves left behind by the horrific killing machine built with one purpose only: extermination of the Jews. Mass graves are there and were needed because the killing rate outpaced the cremation rate.

First question first, memes have always been part of human culture, since ancient times they have been used to communicate ideas in an abstract and nonverbal manner, in the age of the internet people are becoming more aware of them and the power that they hold. Many young people who grew up with the internet have gotten used to the idea of using internet memes as a way of communication, not just for information, but ideas and emotions in a way that is more efficient than verbal communication. It is said that a picture says a thousand words, hence tech savvy young people communicate with pictures moreso than words. The part about anime girls, is just an element of modern popular culture, something that exists today that did not exist twenty years ago. It is no more common for right wingers than for left wingers, but most people only encounter folks with anime girl avatars when they are in political debates, hence the (incorrect) stereotype. It's similar with Pepe the frog, a completely apolitical meme, no more right wing than left wing, mainstream journalists encountered it for the first time when observing right wing political communities, and hence it got branded a "hate symbol". We don't like to correct our enemies when they are wrong with these things, because it is entertaining to watch. In short, memes and anime girl avatars can be best described as "young people things", moreso than "right winger things". It just so happens that those right wingers who are outside of mainstream culture, are more likely to draw attention to themselves, and to their memes.

Newspaper and talk show media should try and grasp on to the understanding that; when you try and destroy a person's reputation or career by slinging mud on them in hopes that they might lose in their cause, it sometimes backfires and works in the favor of the person you seek to ruin.
