I disagree with you on this one. The ANC cannot get 34% and then want to hog all the seats. Also, I happen to know a lot of the intricacies of the ANC in Gauteng, as I worked a lot with them in my previous life. To put it frankly, they are incompetent, narcissistic and self serving, and they are certainly not in it for the true and lasting transformation of the province, in particular, the lives of the downtrodden majority black and coloured people. It is unfortunately a politics of the stomach, and that is exactly why they have moved from a majority to 34% - so for them to think that they can do business as usual, is nonsense. As for Lesufi's gimmicks like nasi'spani, well where do I start with a black leadership that believes that giving people crumbs because they are poor and desperate is a fulfillment of the dream destroyed???? They are Dives, and the majority of the poor are Lazarus!! - and incidentally, I am not a fan of the DA at all, and certainly not a fan of Solly, but the issue is the principle. And ps - you were speaking this morning about qualifications - you will be surprised as how many of this ANC Gauteng crew is just not qualified and unfit for the job.... and don't get me started on the nepotism and creation of superfluous positions and providing of government movable and immovable assets to girlfriends, baby mamas, mistresses, et al... these are the things that drive the ANC in Gauteng, and the politicians became so good at it that it filtered to the civil servants... Finally, I find it sad to hear that these ANC people in general, who have betrayed the people over and over again in these past three decades, and continue to do so by going into coalition with our past/present oppressor, still have such delusions of grandeur as to think that they will still count in 2029, and that they will be able to get major positions... they clearly have either not read and/or not studied the history of liberation movements, or they think that there is something so special about them, that they can somehow miraculously defy the odds... as we would say in the township ...SHAM!

The inconsistencies of the DA and ANC are hilarious 😂 😃 😄, with the MKP scored 45% of the electorate in KZN, but they are not allowed to lead that Province. Nationally and in other hung Provinces, the ANC and DA feel that the whoever scored most votes 🗳 should lead that Provinces.

In my opinion, when it comes to the DA on this level of gervernment it's about policy and implementation more than mere simple politics. Circumspection might be a good remedy and perhaps leave the flashy perfomance for national level (which Lesufi might be working towards)... Its not about DA getting a lot, but the people of Gauteng getting enough. The DA might understand this better? That's the problem.
Just out of curiosity how many black cabinet members were there during apartheid and before apartheid? Whatever that percentage was that's how many DA should be in there now. If the DA ever gets the chance to dissolve the ANC , they will. Thinking that they're your friends is one of the worst mistakes that the ANC can make.....
This has nothing to do with Apartheid, this has to do with what the people voted for. You dont drop to 30% and then pretend to have won 65%. The ANC can no longer claim to be the peoples voice, finnish en klaar.

You aren’t being objective and I think you’re being disingenuous. Your personal feelings towards the DA are making you sound irrational. 1. You’re right, Lesufi is gunning for the no.1 spot therefore his actions are purely for self preservation. That means the ANC is operating in bad faith based on that alone. They aren’t trying to serve the will of the people but rather their own. 2. KZN is KZN and Gauteng is Gauteng. All deals struck in KZN were most probably dictated by the IFP. It was the IFP Premier’ prerogative to give the DA those two MEC positions. Big as they might be they still reflect proportionality. By your logic the DA should be happy to support any coalition without getting any meaningful position in all provinces simply because they have the Western Cape to themselves. That’s ridiculous. 3. You’ve resorted to ad-hominem fallacy by bringing Solly’s capabilities in an issue regarding proportionality. As far as I’m aware the DA isn’t asking for specific position they are simply asking the members of the executive to be a fair representation of the voters mandate. I understand that your views are your opinion and you are entitled to them, but they’re wrong.
For some reason Gauteng has the worst politicians. Both Solly Msimanga and Panyaza Lesufi are honestly useless, the latter just has a stronger base of cheerleaders. Nevertheless, 34% was a disasterous result for ANC and I don't think this entitles them to take almost all the seats.
The real threat that this country is facing,... is no longer dominance by ANC but DA's dominance...where ANC's arrogance is suddenly replaced by DA's arrogance...this country needs civil servants, not another form of totalitarians......
