Where did you get the engine and how hard of a swap was it in regards to electronic

@ce jb it’s the stock engine with a supercharger setup from an 03/04 Cobra.

My grandfather Bought his back in 2003 He was the 1st guy to get one In the of state of New England some days me and dad would fight over who gets to drive it my grandfather would just Laugh at us 🤣 and tell us how about no one is doing to drive it today lol I miss that car and grandfather he just passed away 4 years ago 😢 I miss you So much pops 😢 😞 💔

Yeah I know of guys that supercharged and the motor blew after 5k miles and others that have gone 100k plus with no issues. Mine was low mileage and in great shape when I added the blower. Mo’s Speed Shop is legendary for tuning Marauders… I left some power on the table in favor of a more conservative tune. I don’t beat on it all the time either. Worst case, blow it up and rebuild it better with forged internals!

Black! Good to hear from you. We’re all good over here. Yeah I finally sold the Chevy last year after 16 years! Caddy still runs strong and only has 58K miles. Always been a fan of Panthers, especially Marauders. Last of the body-on-frame RWD V8 sedans. We’ve come a long way from those old Buicks we had back in 03/04… I had an ‘85 Lesabre and didn’t you have a Regal? Take care brother

Thank you. Mine has the head cooling mod as well. Like you said, foolish not to do it while you’re there. I’m using an Autometer wideband. Not because it’s the best, but it matches my (real) Autometer oil pressure gauge and Autometer boost gauge. Yeah I’m very happy with the Eaton setup. At this point, I personally feel the only benefits of the Trilogy is the OEM look and novelty of having one of only 250 kits. There are a few parts availability benefits with the Eaton swap (if you ever have issues).

Congrats on finding a low mileage car. See my replies to @Ian Mayer. Probably $4-5K in parts. Then factor $2-3K for install and dyno tuning. I highly suggest joining mercurymarauder.net ... tons of info on our cars, including Eaton swaps. Also, I highly recommend MO’s Speed Shop in Dallas, GA. Guys send their cars there from all over the country, and they also do remote tuning.

I should add that we run less timing than a Cobra motor. As with any supercharged setup, you have to get a good tune. MO’s Speed Shop in Dallas, GA is top notch.

In stock form these cars dyno about 250 hp at the wheels. My car is putting down 420 at the rear wheels.

Kept the steering wheel controls. Look up the SWI-RC interface adapter. Should be about $50.

Probably $4K to $5K in parts. That’s just for the Eaton setup (not including headers, suspension, etc).

@@ianmayer2951 No, that’s for all the supercharger parts. If you’re not already a member, I recommend joining mercurymarauder.net. Lots of info on Eaton swaps as many members have done them. There’s a thread with a complete list of parts ( www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?60366-Eaton-Swap-Parts-List-Thread&highlight=Eaton+swap+list). You’ll probably have to go there (mm.net) to find the brackets and COT. The generally accepted “safe” limit for our stock motor (with non-forged internals) is 450 rwhp. Sure, you can drop a bunch of coin to beef up the bottom end... but I’m very happy with my power level... plenty for the street. Solid and dependable, way faster than stock, and looks OEM.

There are no Eaton “kits.” You have to gather the parts yourself.

Tough to say exactly. Bought parts over time and didn’t really keep track. If you’re talking just the Eaton swap, maybe $4-5K for parts and $2-3K for install and dyno tuning. That doesn’t include headers (another $1.2K), rear gears, or transmission pan/cooler.

Marauders came with a tach. As the other poster stated, CV’s came with a tach starting around 06 or 07. Same for GM’s and Town Cars, I believe.
