Thanks for making this video I was cutting open big bales of packed soil and retracting the knife back and forth pulled soil inside of it. I was worried to take it apart and have it fall into a million pieces but watching this video put my mind at ease @@davesgunchannel

Thank you for video. Im guessing i have a slightly different model. My blade does not come out. My knife probably started on its own. It will not go back in. Ive opened it up. I've checked everything. I can not see a problem internally. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you

So, I have an OTF, exceedingly similar (but likely not a cobratec), when I fire it, it WILL NOT AUTOLOCK open. I can manually extend and lock it. I’ve had it apart, and tried cleaning up some casting flash, and excess coating, but still no luck. All my springs feel good, and the locks move freely, so I’m stumped.

I am not an expert, but that sounds like the springs may not be up to snuff, or possibly a little lube where metal slides on metal. (Tiny amount of lube)

Another idea to increase the tension on your springs, is to cut and remove one spring coil at a time to see if that improves performance. But please do not do this unless you are OK with destroying your springs! Ideally you would be able to find replacement springs somewhere on the Internet.

What knife is this? Fs3 ctk1? I want to order one with a replacement blade and might as well get the extra screws and torx head they sell as it will be inevitable they will get stripped over time.

It is the CTK-1. Love this knife! It is a bit heavier, but they do have the lightweight models as well.

@@davesgunchannel I'm thinking of getting the fs3 I like that the handle is nearly an inch shorter but the blade is only a quarter inch shorter. Plus a few ounces lighter.
