On today’s episode, I’m taking you to Alabama to explore and document the Lucy Murder Mansion where Allen Lucy was murdered by his own step father and buried under the porch. For almost a decade, Allen Lucy’s case went cold until one fateful day his body was accidentally discovered by two men inspecting the house for termite damage.

Oh my gosh that poor child, 😢 so glad the parents were finally caught and the father was sent to jail. And for the other boy to not be believed must have been very traumatic. Thank you for telling his story so it will never be forgotten.

Imagine how Jason, the biological son, would have felt. Knowing what his father did. And then speaking out only to not be believed. My goodness. The weight of that truma. And you said the community loved the father, that's why they didn't believe Jason. You know, my father was a raging Narcissist. At his funeral there were 300 plus people. Home devils and street angels I call them. To punch a child that hard takes a lot of anger. It was very brave of Jason to speak out after watching what his father was capable of. I hope he got help for what he endured back then & was able to lead a semi normal life. I won't lie, truma changes everything. You're never quite the same after it. God bless 🙌

Hey guys, thanks so much for watching this video. First off, my apologies for the shaky footage. This town is one of the most dangerous places in Alabama and I was on edge to be there by myself. I was also so sad over the story of what had happened. I don't think it really hit me until I was there, surrounded by the walls of the place that poor boy had been murdered.

Hey Abandoned Nashville-- thank you SO much for posting this. I have wondered for the last 15 years what happened to this house. I have tried to find it on Google Earth several times and I guess I thought I remembered the address but it no longer comes up under the street and number ("12 South street* - not accurate to protect it but you'll know what I mean). I was extremely close to purchasing this amazing house back around 2006/7. I went out and looked at it with the well known agent in that area. It was nowhere near as bad as your video shows it now; the beautiful front porch was still standing very solid. What I appreciated most about the house was that unreal front collonade with that gorgeous sunburst fan light window over the top with the Greek revival look. I loved the staircase inside and like you said, it didn't make a sound when walking up it. I know the smell you mentioned, too; an undescribable scent of yesterday combined with something inspiring and joyful in the wood itself. I was literally going to pull the trigger on the purchase until I heard the foster child story that you spoke of. I just couldn't handle the thought of waking up there every day knowing that had happened, and that is what I told the agent. Reluctantly I passed on purchasing the house but have never forgotten it and wished I could have brought it back to what it deserves. I was told at that time that it had been built in 1910, which seemed way later than what the construction of it suggested to me. It felt more like 1850s to me. I have been working on a 3 story colonial with Greek columns for several years now, so I ended up finding a cool house to restore after all. If someone could still save that old house in Uniontown it would be so great. I was just telling my wife the other day how important keeping the roof solid and avoiding leaks really is. A leaky roof is death for historic homes. Again, thank you so much for this video. You can't imagine how many times I pondered the fate of that house. .
@bramlintrent1145
@bramlintrent1145 2 года назад
It was actually built in 1918, according to the historical records of the town where it's located. (Most of the neighboring houses on North Street were also built between 1915 and 1925.) The house held up pretty well until about 2012, then it started collapsing at a pretty fast rate.
@ribbetribbet1161
@ribbetribbet1161 2 года назад
@@bramlintrent1145 Oh thanks for the info. I always thought it was much older, I guess they just liked that type of architecture! What do you think caused it to collapse? Do you think it was all around general neglect, or from something another owner did to the structure?
@bramlintrent1145
@bramlintrent1145 2 года назад
@@ribbetribbet1161 In the South, especially in smaller towns like this one, a bunch of old houses were constructed between 1900 and 1920 using what's called "Neoclassical" architecture, which kind of copies the Greek Revival architecture of the 1850s and 1860s, but it's usually pretty easy to spot the differences. This one is definitely from the Neoclassical heyday ... I noticed at one point (around 2006) that some water damage on the porch seemed to be causing some rot around the base of the columns. That probably sent the termites into the wood. Then the tops of the columns (capitals) started showing some rot. Over time, the columns slowly began collapsing. I believe the first one fell about 2015 or 2016. If someone had been living there, obviously there would've been routine repairs that would've prevented this from happening. I know it's a sad old house (because of what happened in the 1980s), but it's a shame that someone didn't buy it and continue the renovation. I I'm sure the buyer who began the renovation in the 1990s probably tried to unwind his purchase contract, once he discovered he'd bought a house the previous occupants had (1) intentionally burned and (2) buried a child underneath the porch.

Those pipes in the attic actually look like they were part of the old gravity water system which predated our current running water system. There would have been a huge water reservoir in the attic that collected rain water, and those pipes would carry the water to the bathrooms and kitchen below. That's also likely why the water heater is up there to take advantage of the existing plumbing system that was originally built to work with the reservoir.

Those double doors are sometimes referred to as "French Doors". Those older homes that have built in cabinets on the second floor were for linens.. Sheets and towels and needs for servicing the second floor both to save space in the rooms and keep from having to make continuous trips up and down the stairs. Many of these homes had service people or maid at some point and the homes were built for a service person to maintain the home for the owners and many have a butler pantry where they prepared and served food and the kitchen sometimes was separate. Laundry then was usually done by hand and line dry and most services were labour intensive and time consuming so built ins help as well as French Doors allowed light as well as opportunities to open to large areas for entertainment as well as air flow in hot seasons. As well as close off rooms to heat smaller spaces in the winter also allowing light. A lot of functional and beautiful aspects working together in these older architectures. Bless that child and may he rest in peace 🙏🏼

You be surprised just how many homes have had someone either murdered in them or they have died in them. Once the crime scene clean up crew shows up noone will ever know and reside happily for many years forward. I wouldn't leave a huge nice home because I am aware someone passed away. Notice where the boy was buried. Flowers were growing. I mean it's a weed, but still. The little yellow flowers were there.

If you watch as he is putting the camera in. Look to the right of the screen, under the beam by the stacked bricks. You get a glimpse of what looks like a face. I don't know if his face reflected on something or if it was a squatter or Alan...

My goodness that is sad to see what once use to be a house is now falling down. I love watching these types of vids to see and learn the history of places that use to be lived in or used but it’s sad that a father killed his son and his other son tried to tell people but he wasn’t believed! Smh so heartbreaking

I have seen this house explored by other urban explorers. I heard them describe that a murder had happened there. I did some Google searching for that area/town, and found out it was true! A shame such a thing happened and now the house now just sits. Oddly, that house was built in the early 1900's from city records. I thought it was way older and might be since the records my only go back so far. ALSO! A funeral happening while you are exploring as there is a funeral home on the same street as the house. :)

Did you feel any sadness or anything? The smell you were smelling makes me wonder about spirits hanging around. Also you make me nervous walking upstairs of these abandoned places. I'm so worried the floors will cave in!

It’s crazy that people think it’s normal to just put their child’s dead body into the crawlspace. What on earth. Horrible.

Yeah I don’t think people think it’s normal. This guy (and all murderers) are sick in the head.

This place would have been beautiful and wish it could have been finished. Now it will just keep decaying and disappear. Love it but it would be haunted. I saw a shadow go by the door when you were downstairs and it was moving. Thank you

Such a sad story. I can't quite grasp why the new owners just quit the renovation. Rather odd.
