Much prefer these "older" videos under 10 minutes VS. the newer ones of 30 minutes. When every youtuber puts out 30+ minute videos, if one were just following 10 people (most follow many more than this), it would take an entire day to watch them all. So what happens next? Most will just fast forward through them or worse, skip them altogether. I've found myself doing exactly that and I'm sure many others have to.

@usaman7358

@@prettyasia111 I'll be the first to admit that I know very little about monetizing here on youtube. Feel free to educate me. But if half (or more) just skip though long videos, or worse don't even bother to watch at all because its 30+ minutes, how are they making any money? Doubtful they will watch 30 minutes PLUS the commercials so........? And I will never personally "like" a video that is 30 minutes long and could have been done in 5 minutes. So where is their $$$ coming from? Again, I don't know the incentive for having long videos but if there is, it just encourages all these influencers to water down their videos and put out luke warm info to fill the 30 minutes. That, in the long run, seems like it will attract FEWER, not more, people to watch them thus ruining it for everyone involved. The whole youtube experience eventually becomes so watered down few will make money. But hey, what do I know?

As a kid I always had super cold hands and feet but I later did gymnastics and acrobatics with 10+ hours training a week in my late teens and early 20s and that stopped and hasn’t come back yet (I am 30 now) even though I don’t exercise that much now - perhaps I had angiogenesis! Interesting talk Dr Ekberg!

You probably did. I would lean even more towards the possibility that all that high level training built up a really nice and strong frontal lobe that is able to manage stress well by inhibiting the stress response and effectively returning to homeostasis.

I used to use frankincense to warm my hands and feet. In 2019, I learned about iodine, and how the body needs it. Within a month of starting Dr. David Brownstein's iodine protocol I started healing my body. One of the things that was healed was my low body temperature, and my hands and feet don't get cold like they used too. I used to not be able to stay out in cold weather for very long. Now, that I have moved back up north, I've been able to stay outside in cold weather longer with no issues.

I started taking a cold shower every day and after about two weeks I noticed that I was no longer having a problem with getting cold feet at night. A stress response is a neurological habit that builds up over time, one that we're not necessarily aware of. I would add the breathing/ relaxation exercises to reprogram my nervous system alittle bit. Next I would look at the possibility of a slow thyroid - and realize that the standard medical test do little in the way of helping there. Here's a link for a thyroid video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tbs9IHN0DK4.html

You said stress & tension is the reason, that makes sense because I worked at fast food for many years having to wait on hundreds of people at high speed. Also attending school & getting to class (walking long distance) before bell rings. I am tense and a fast paced person. I finally learned how to relax but I still have chronic cold hands and feet. Dr Ekberg, I have no problem at all with what you say about stress being a possible cause for cold hands and feet and for the precise reasons you cite, because it's one of the reasons people suffer from Raynaud's Syndrome, which also causes cold hands and feet. My problem here is that there can be other reasons for cold hands and feet and they should all be mentioned, i.e. as well as stress, things such as smoking, low blood pressure, atherosclerosis and Raynaud's syndrome that I've already mentioned, among other things, should be considered. While ever the focus of attention is placed only on stress as a possible cause, a different cause could be going undiscovered and left untreated.

I just saw your video on cold hands and feet. My source of my condition is sweat. When the room gets too stuffy or warm, I sweat. When I get excited, I sweat. When that happens, both my hands and feet will start to sweat while other parts of my body stays dry. Soon, my hands and feet will become cold and if I am in an air-conditioned room, they become so cold like something out of a fridge. Nothing will warm them up unless I make effort to dry up my feet through a series of actions. When I succeed in that, then both my hands and feet will dry up and be slowly become warm again. Why is sweat the key factor here?

My hands and feet are not cold all the time-they do warm up. They don't hurt or are blue or purple or anything like that. My primary care physician stated nothing to worry about and that's just the way you are. It's just uncomfortable and embarrasing when I shake someone's hand and they pull away because my handshake is too cold

Thank You Dimitri Gorew While there are many general things that a person can do to improve their health, such as reducing sugar, grain and processed foods. Some conditions are a little more complicated and require very specific analysis of the body. In my office we use Nutrition Response Testing to find and handle the root cause of the problem.

What is your bloodpressure on Keto compared to after a carb meal, and your hands are getting warmer? For me it was a low blood pressure issue which has the same effect and on carbs with insulin resistance people tend to have higher blood pressure.

I can be sweating and my hands and feet will be ice cold. They call me Mr Freeze at work. My feet are very numb. When I get into a tub of hot water, my feet doesn't feel the heat until I start moving my feet, then it hurts real bad until I be still again. I also have neuropathy in both hands and feet.
@drekberg
@drekberg 5 лет назад
Both sweating and vasoconstriction are sympathetic responses. What you're describing is a pretty severe form of it. If you have neuropathy there are probably some additional factors involved as well. Blood sugar? Liver problems? Learn more about how to heal the body and try to get some help from a Nutrition Response Testing practitioner.
@michaelcowan6254
@michaelcowan6254 5 лет назад
It also feels like I have neuropathy in my head. Because it has the same numb feeling and feels like something is floating around just under the skin. The numbness will move around down the left side of my face all the way to my jaw. Sometimes it is very painful in the jaw area on the left side. Have really bad migraine headaches. Tried Botox injections that would help the headaches for about a month. I also had a positive tilt table test. Doctors can't figure out what's going on. I have been out of work since the end of July 2018.

I sympathize with you. Every disease is due to something not working right. When you have more symptoms and they jump around and change there is more stuff not working right. You can't solve it by chasing symptoms or trying to nail it down on a single cause or diagnosis. You have to start healing the body. Watch every video I have (200+) until you get the big picture. If you can visit Atlanta we could work with you, if not I suggest you find a Nutrition Response Testing practitioner near by.

Im super stressed. Ppl are quarantined, lots of deaths and celebrity diagnoses. My feet and hands have EXTREMELY cold for days now. Ive been wearing 3-4 pairs of socks under 3 blankets at night and its not working. This doctor may be right about stress correlation to cold hands and feet. Hes got to be right because I'm the type who can't tolerate socks on my feet while in bed.

For me it’s called Raynaud’s syndrome

For once I might disagree with my favorite doc: It is digestion and metabolism, guys ! My experience is that when I have a bad digestion or I ate in a hurry, or had an unbalanced meal ( can’t be specific as it’s random), I alter my normal metabolism, the tip of my hands and feet stay pretty cold for at least the next 8 hours. Less than a day after, a good sleep, and it’s just gone

@supertom8552
@supertom8552 2 года назад
Also digesting a large meal takes more energy than anything else you do , so more blood 🩸 concentrates in your stomach and digestive organs to digest that meal , reducing the amount of blood in your extremities, hands and feet, etc ! They can feel cold and don’t go swimming , remember that!

This was interesting. I've always wondered about the phenomen I call 2nd breath when running/jogging. The first 20-30 minutes can feel clumsy and sluggish but after that you feel like in a rythmic flow. I suppose it's the bloodvessels being able to distribute more oxygen even if you do not feel the need to panting for air as in the initial 20-30 minutes.

I get cold hands in spite of a lifetime of hiking, climbing and skiing, so exercise hasn't prevented it. It was diagnosed as Raynauds yrs ago. Electric mitts help alot in winter. Keeping my core warm with an undershirt even in mildly cool temps helps too.

I have Raynauds too, I find it’s triggered more when my core is cold but my hands can be exposed and be fine as long as I feel warm. Very weirdly when I go in the shower (hot obviously 😂) it happens but soon goes. I was born with a heart condition, transposition of the great vessels. I had a big operation in 1980 and all has been fine until changes they spotted last year. I had a pacemaker fit 4 weeks ago, 17/3. Since that my raynauds has been very mild if anything. It might be worth you getting your ticker checked out mate.

Yet I still have cold feet... not hands! Once cold, they can take hours to warm up. Hence my bemusement... why? Can having very cold / wet feet (military artic training) have caused capillary issues???
