Catch a simple cold during chemo treatment can be deadly, let alone covid! So sad. He could have done this remotely, spoken to parents via zoom. This is so selfish.

I’m shocked the hospital even allowed him in there. This whole thing could have been done over a video call and that child could have been kept a little bit safer.

Cole has a huge god complex. It seems he thinks he has all the power to heal ppl. Ppl like him are why I left the church, why I question my beliefs, why I won't call myself a Christian anymore. This is so vile and gross and hits even harder because I lost my grandma to cancer last year. I'm so angry....so angry.

He genuinely believes that he's the FIRST person to realise that kids (and others) are going through this... and that his little project is FINALLY going to change the game. Such an insult to the scientists, doctors, care givers, parents and so many more that are doing this every damn day. His ignorance is so gross.

So not only is he exploiting his own children - he’s now exploiting other people’s children. Insane.

My son has cystic fibrosis. 0 government funding. Myself-and every other cf’er and parent- work our butts off to raise funds for research and medicine. This pisses me off so bad.

As an aunt who lost her niece to brain cancer using a sick child to get money is disgusting. And I have never ever been able to look away from a cancer patient even before my niece was ill. Hopefully they grow up and become a positive influence on others and rais efunds for ill kids . I hope this isn't just a viewer grab

My kids don’t have cancer but I am the mom of two boys who were born with a rare kidney disease. 1/2 of the kids born with their illness die at birth, the other half need transplants as kids or young adults. When my youngest was born my husband left us, the youngest was intubated in a hospital an hour away from where my parents lived and where my oldest (almost 2 year old) was staying when I was in the NICU. I was driving back and forth every single day to spend 12 hours in the nicu with one kid, then the other 12 hours in the day with the other kid. It was my lowest point in life. Heartbreaking. Setting up that scene to say, I know pain as a parent, and if someone brought their healthy 8 year old to use my situation as a “look how lucky we are, healthy child” I would have had a very hard time controlling myself. It would have been absolutely gutting to me, being faced with a healthy kid in my space while quietly thinking, “my baby probably won’t make it to 8”. Then to be also trying to humor this dad and entertain him as he shows his kid that they are blessed and we aren’t. How inconsiderate he is to be unable to look outside of himself and think about his words and reasons for doing what he’s doing.

Ugh, the camera position at 20:28 speaks volumes. Cole is (almost) centre-frame, sat in the best position where the light is on him and the parents of this poor little girl only just in shot, in the dark. That's the entire video summed up into one image right there. Disgusting.

It’s literally like Cole has never seen a documentary in his life. This was not awareness, this was a cash grab.

Here is a question: If Cole had not been allowed to film his visits in the hospital with these families, or in their homes, would he have gone to see them and bring them gifts? I am assuming the answer is NO, and that's where the problem lies.

Visiting one hospital during covid is crazy but going to multiple hospitals during covid is just so nuts!

My blood was boiling with anger. I was teary eyed over these kids and their families. Like you said even if they donate the money made - fact is true - them two are so full of themselves & made this whole “documentary” about themselves - how they went out of their way- how they donated money to them- how they felt….blah blah blah. Very sad. God is selfless. God is true & honest. Cole’s God complex is actually scary. I can’t imagine the conversation he had with these families - “so I’m making a documentary about your kids but here’s a release so you don’t get anything from it” - I hope not. This was powerful. Your anger came out and gave me chills and it was exactly what I’m sure a lot of people enraged over this was screaming inside.

The end goal here is that he wants people to beg him to go pray over them. He wants to be worshipped. He could easily start a foundation/nonprofit/etc. Kids with cancer is simply another stream of income. I am disgusted on so many levels. And anyone who has faced insurmountable illness knows how shallow the words about "miracles" can feel.

As the mum of a daughter who survived cancer, this makes be sick. Who the hell does he think he is??!!

The way he is relating it to Posey is just sick. Posey is fine. These parents of Children with cancer only WISH their children were fine and that they had the relief the LeBrants had of NOT hearing this diagnosis. Yes there is ALWAYS a fear of our children getting this awful diagnosis but it can’t even compare to someone’s REAL story of it actually happening to them. My daughter has a lymph node that is enlarged and one doctor mentioned that they wanted to have it looked at to ensure it wasn’t a sign of cancer.. it DOESNT compare to this families story. It doesn’t give me the right to exploit families that are experiencing it and I can’t begin to compare our stories! If it was this child’s final wish to meet the LeBrants and be in their Vlog, maybe it would be different but they should still donate all proceeds / monetary gain to the family.

I cant put into words how angry I am about this, who at that hospital thought this would be a good idea and who OK’d this? Patients receiving chemo are at the highest risk of illness due to a compromised immune system. And the biggest reason I’m so angry is this, since Feb 2020 to current day we have been able to hold our little’s hand ONE time because she is in a pediatric traumatic brain injury (TBI) recovery hospital because she had a softball sized brain tumor removed and every patient in that facility are so medically fragile that the entire hospital went into lockdown due to C-19. The only reason we were able to see/hold her is because she was transported back to a pediatric ER for VP shunt failure and found out she has another brain tumor .this sweet baby is now 4 years old & we have been told she will never be stable enough to live outside of a medical facility, during her surgery to remove the first tumor she had multiple right and left hemisphere strokes, she is blind, has no idea who we are or who she is,the list goes on and on. There are real people in those facility with real medical problems but Cole Labrant needed his ego stroked , can we just stamp CHACHI on his forehead? Thank you Josh for showing the world who these people really are.

I don't want to be *that* guy, but I'm thinking about this from a tax standpoint. Flights for the vids become "business trips" - tax write-off. $10,000 [/family] to someone is the max tax free (for both parties as a gift) - tax write-off for "charitable gift". Do we think since they've been making so much and being stuck home that this is a way to help lower their tax liability? That's what this screamed to me. 🤷‍♀️

I was in the hospital here in Hamilton Ontario Canada for 7 months!! My dad asked my nurses what would happen if I lived in the States?? She said, "Your family would be bankrupt 10x over"!!! Thank god I live in Canada!!!❤🇨🇦❤🇨🇦❤

I commented yesterday, as I lost my darling girl 12 weeks ago today to this disease. I can't understand this guy at all. I spent the day quite sad over their actions. He is speaking things he googled with NO compassion at all! Also, when my girl was here she or I wouldn't have appreciated a visit from a stranger and a healthy child. Make no mistake, I'm not resentful to people with healthy children. But when you are living on a children's cancer ward you don't need it rubbed in your face. Also boarding a plane in a pandemic and bringing your healthy child to see my sick child who could die from contracting even a cold! That goes to show how little he understands about childhood cancer! This is so disrespectful! I love watching you out him, it brings me some comfort!

I’m really sorry, I am not a religious person, I really wish I was, I know people who believe and I am jealous, I would love to believe , but I don’t. I am a mum of an autistic son who was diagnosed with cancer at 18 months, he’s been through so much, what did my baby ever do to deserve this. But I’m also so glad that this douche bag didn’t try to capitalise on his struggle, what parents need is people who understand how every day we live with such uncertainty that our precious child will live through something that they do not deserve. I hope that they never have a day of such fear.

Church is nothing more than a country club these days. So disgusting. And these people busy filming their good deeds is the most cringe thing I have ever witnessed. My best friends ever had a 7 yr old daughter that woke up one day after a winter fun filled weekend sore as shit. Her arms hurt. Within 24 hours she was put on a plane for Seattle from Anchorage. She had an aggressive adult like cancer that was taking over. Two years fighting and shes 30 now. With her own kid. I remember that fight. I remember while they were gone they had 4 other kids to look after. They needed their house winterized, so many different worries. We told them don’t worry about here, you go and don’t leave her side. While they were gone her friends (us) extended family, did a complete quick makeover so the house was better for a sick child to live in. Air leaks, a little mold. We made them dinners and took their other important children to their things. THATS how you help. And I screamed at God for her to heal, fight, help mom and dad. (Knew them since grade school) and she survived. It takes real love, real support, and your own ego is just a after thought. There is no ego. It’s not about you. And what you did. Yeah eff this asshat punk dude.oh and most likely a house where they put families up for when they visit for treatment. Like Ronald McDonald house for cancer kids. So probably a lot of families have used this home or is reserved for patients family. Okay enough of me.

I have reported coles video the the children's hospital for violation of their filming policy. It's disgusting that he went to that hospital during covid. On the LaBrant family snark page on reddit, there is a post about who to email at the hospital to complain

I recently lost a good friend due to brain cancer. He was 22 and the hospital he was in opened up for a few of us to say goodbye. It utterly disgusting to me to see how he handled this. Thanks for this Josh!

If Cole is so sorry about the title, why hasn't he changed it?

This left a bad taste in my mouth. When I was 9, I was in the hospital having heart surgery (yet another childhood disease that could be made more aware), but when I got there, I met a few toddlers and babies going through cancer treatment and surgery. That stuck with me, so much that I now diagnose cancer for a living (not childhood cancers per se, but 99% of what I do is adults). The heart thing hit too close to home for me, but I had to help others and this is how I do it. My mom became a nurse after my surgery. That’s what she decided would be best for her to help.

I’m a Christian (not religious, I love and follow Jesus) and yes, I have a problem with him flying out and praying over people and filming it. YES, God does miracles but WE can’t make a miracle happen.

My cousin’s son lost his Battle with cancer a few months after he turned 18. Robert fight it for 4 years. It was hard seeing him and his family go though it. My cousin has a million hospital bill but he will never be able to pay.

Just got back from my 2nd graders “Open Door Day” for her brand new school and one of her new classmates clearly has gone through chemo recently. I can’t stop thinking about him and what he and his mom/dad and family have gone through. I don’t know his story yet but damn he’s a BIG hero to me already!

The end of this documentary rubs me the wrong way. It’s like he thinks his little prayers over these babies helped get rid of their cancer. Pathetic. Those kids FOUGHT for their lives and took medicine to help with that. His little prayers didn’t get rid of their cancer. Hopefully this doesn’t happen but I wonder how he’d feel if these kids had reoccurring cancer. I wonder if he truly thinks that he’s little prayers would “save” them again. Truly disgusting people. I’m appalled by them. The last thing my grandfather would’ve wanted when he was 30 dealing with stomach cancer and again at 40 with lung cancer was someone openly praying for him and video recording it and video recording them giving him money. These families just want someone to be there. To help with meals, to help clean their house, to talk too. They don’t want to be video recorded receiving money and prayers. My aunt is literally dying of cancer and I can't see her. Even though I'm fully vaccinated we decided becuase of how I travel for work it would be too high of a risk for me to see her. This so sooooo selfish it's unbelievable

When he is sat at the table with the parents who are grieving, it sounds like this is where he's asked to go in the room. The dads response... that sounds like someone who wants to say no but can't. Some people find it hard to say no. 'We're not going to stop you...' that is not a yes is it???

The father of my kids has had bone cancer, so this hits home for me. It’s not a joke. He also hated when random people came and “helped” him during chemotherapy.

If he really want's to do something major for childhood cancer donate $$ because right now only 4% of money get's spent for it. YES, 4% is spent on all childhood cancers research.

I underwent chemotherapy earlier this year for colon cancer and my husband wasn’t allowed in the treatment room ever. I agree with doing good things in private. We’re “adopting” a family for Christmas this year and providing all the presents for the two children and a gift card for groceries but absolutely none of our family and friends know about it because it’s not about us, it’s about that family having a wonderful Christmas that they deserve.

I got cancer at age 27 and my mom was like a lioness, didn’t let anyone near me because of the chemo…. And Josh you are so right, in these times of Covid, why the hell would you go in to a hospital when you don’t have to…. My hopes for humanity decreases when i see people like the Labrants…. Damn 😔

I was diagnosed with a form of lymphoma (stage 2A) this year , and finished radiation in April of this year. All of my side effects were mild compared to what other cancer patients go through, but yet they were still HELL! I can't imagine how hard it would be for child, b/c I could barely deal with parts of it as a 28 year old! The emotional and finiacial burden it puts on the patient and their family is indescribable. I feel as though if Cole really wanted to create a documentary to raise awareness, he should have had doctors, non-profits, and other families speak about their experiences with the disease. Rather than a segment about his life story, and him and Sav talking about nonsense on the couch lol They could have interviewed everyone over zoom, so he wouldn't be traveling to visit sick children during a pandemic!! It's all just so ridiculous; I can't!

Thank you so much for this Josh. I have a rare connective tissue disorder. I have have been in the hospital for the better part of the last 10 years. I can’t tell you how many people have come and prayed over me. I have a relationship with Christ and appreciate the prayers. But that is very much where most interactions stop. A prayer and a picture. It doesn’t change the never ending agony and fear. It doesn’t raise money or awareness. We need Christians to understand that there are real needs out there that can’t all be solved by prayers. And there is so much guilt in our community because people are told that they will be healed if they pray hard enough. When there isn’t healing it is either our fault or God’s fault. And THANK YOU! There is zero chance that a STRANGER would be allowed in my home, especially an unvaccinated one! We have not had anyone to the house in 3 years. Go Josh!

This was a hard one for me to watch both for personal reasons and because it's disgusting, period, what Cole has done. Thank you for calling this out and for also talking about the difference between faith and religion, and the destruction religion causes to people.

Family vloggers upset me, infuriate me and frustrate me, but this is the first time I’ve felt pure anger. My Mum died of cancer when I was 12. It broke me and I suffer a lot of trauma from it, so I cant even being to imagine the pain parents go through when seeing their children go through cancer. It makes me so angry that an upper class family with perfectly healthy children exploit families suffering the absolute worst. I know a lot of people find comfort and hope in faith and religion, but no amount of praying is going to cure cancer or help someone into remission. I hate the fact he has such a god complex around this whole “documentary”. It truly breaks my heart
