Colorado Trail Thru Hike 2023: Days 1-5 (Denver to Frisco) 

ER is back!! Beautifully filmed segment. When I did the Foothills Trail I met a woman from upstate New York, and we sat at camp talking about your videos, and she said she read your book Pushing North and loved it. Just know there are lots of people out there you don't know who appreciate what you do.

I'm starting the Colorado Trail as my first thru hike in less than two weeks and the excitement is overwhelming. It just feels so surreal that after watching thru hiking videos for years I will finally be heading out to do it myself. I appreciate that you share these adventures with us, may it inspire others to do the same.

Wow. This is amazing stuff - all of it, the camera work, the views, the ease in which you present a message even without dialog. There are so many things I want to pick your brain about. Obviously hiking being a priority at the moment because I promise you, my hiking doesn’t look like that 😂. I genuinely look forward to watching more of your content whenever I complete this trek. What!?!? Can't believe we were hiking the same state! Wish we had run into each other, but based on the colors of the foliage, I'm guessing you were a little earlier than me. Excellent video and some really extraordinary shots -- much better than what I got in CO. Love watching your evolution as a videographer and editor -- as others have said, I think this was your best one cinematically yet! I just got home two days ago after finishing the CDT, and am wrecked. Like you said in the video, Colorado was rough, but beautiful. Looking forward to the next video! BTW: How do you like the new Hyperlite pack?

Hey ER! Ran into you the first couple days and was trying to find at Kenosha campground. I had to get off trail because of a tic bite I got in Vermont the week before started to show bruising… Anyways really learned a lot from you and will continue next year!

Wanted to do the Colorado trail and the pandemic came, I will hike it in the future.

I can feel your struggle Trey. What are you running for ? What are you scared of? You don't think God can forgive? If you only knew how good He really is lol. You're missing out Trey ! Do this for yourself. And your family. And everyone else in your realm. Get a New King James Version Bible. And not because my Grandpappy's bruncles cousins neighbor's mailman said to use it. (I've done the research. Just get that one.) I don't feel like explaining why. It's the Word of God. Just trust me. And if some crazy Baptist tells you only the King James Bible is good.... don't argue with them. Tell them that was written in 1611 and there's no once saved always saved lol. Ok.... where were we.... Get a NKJV BIBLE. Get alone with God. Humbly ask God to show Himself to you. Pray. Step out in faith. Open that Bible and wherever your eyes first land....READ IT !!!! Just talk to Him. Read that Bible. Tell Him you're sorry for doing bad stuff. He is so good Trey. It's not just you. You've gotta help save your family too Trey. Don't be that guy on Judgment Day that watches his family thrown into Hell. Knowing you could have and should have helped. Quit being selfish. It's not just about you..... All those warriors you help train and lead too. You know they're going into combat. You're missing chances to save souls. You need to get alone with God Trey.
