Yeah, F. Never shared the less community love for the Generals. Love the GLA there for its gameplay. Also USA OST always seemed a bit grim and sad for me, which only adds to the epicness.
im rather happy they didnt ruin it further. Generals 2 looked like a shit b-release and we all know what happens to overmilked series, like Need for Speed
if you say so - this is the sound when you have constipation and your shit is strategizing the suicidal escape from your bowel to their marine rendezvous extraction point.
"Don't forget my nukes general or I will make your base glow like the sun." "Are you so disinterested in my bombs general? Maybe seeing a demo trap up close will surely get you FIRED UP hehehehehe"
Theme 6 15:38 The best USA theme for me. I always imagine this when I here the theme: *on the coast* Carrier: "Preparing jets for take off" King Raptor: "Let's give em' an airshow!" Battleship: "Battleship standing by" *meanwhile on the base* Comanche: "Air cover's on its way" Chinook: "Blades in motion" Dozer: "Gettin' to work" Humvee: "Got room for 5" Ranger: "Let's get in there" Missile Defender: "Let's pop some tanks" Paladin Tank: "Polished and ready" *on the battlefield* Aurora Bomber: "Breaking the sound barrier" Crusader Tank: "Lets grease em" Tomahawk Launcher: "Updating grid location" Avenger: "Commencing light array" *behind enemy lines* Pathfinder: "Scope cleaned and mounted" Col. Burton: "It's about time"
Weapons Recoil Sea World Series Air Strikes cleaning Enemy North Defense Marine Corps Down form North GLA Attack form South Park Wait my Comment about it defensive line broken
"Oh, what's that sound? And look! There's a light in the sky! Hm, I wonder..." "Oh dear! I am sorry, General, that's just how I like to say hello! Well, good luck General..."
EzDoomz Daimon YES! SO MUCH YES! And not a freaking Free to play game, or another browser game, a REAL Generals 2 with more seriousness than they showed for what was supposed to be Generals 2....
I can't believe it's been that long. I can still remember the day I went into Wal-Mart, saw it on the shelf, and impulse-bought it (or rather, bugged my dad until he bought it for me). Time isn't fair.

@@amschelco.1434 only one small obstacle. Spoiled woke society of SJW bullcrap is completely lost the plot and isn't able to fight a real war, not against goat herders and 3rd tier armies. While the rest of the World getting determination to get rid of Western yoke over the planet, so we have GLA, Russia and China working against US and inviting Africa, Asia and Latin America to their party
You wouldn't believe how much this music is used in military-related documentaries. Especially the famous #5 and #6. I'm not complaining, one of the greatest soundtracks ever.
Can you give some links or other stuff? I'd like to see. It's not because i don't trust you, i just want to see the true scale of epicness these soundtracks are.
Every time I play USA and have assembled a massive army, I wait for 15:38 theme 6 to start playing before I start my assault. Watching a dozen of raptors taking off to this track and doing their bombing runs gave me such joy XD
I want to say two things here: 1. Bill Brown & Mikael Sandgren made an incredible soundtrack that made this game so much more epic, it's one of my favorites. 2. I find it hard to believe we would have had this soundtrack without the influence of Hans Zimmer's incredible OST of Blackhawk Down, so a nod to the big man as well.
It's possible, but by the time Blackhawk Down released BIll Brown had already composed for Rainbow 6 Rogue spear two years prior, which is musically reminiscent of the themes we have here. Maybe Zimmer's score was influenced by Bill Brown? Or possibly just parallel musical evolution?
Eugene Slv the mod is better then c&c generals 2 that was canceled and it keeps getting updates and new stuff and it have multiplayer so thats why i love it :)
Imagine this scenario. Somewhere in the world there is an US checkpoint on a highway. A Ranger stops a truck and says: "Special forces here". The driver says: "GLA postal services" and co-pilot says "Shall I push the button?". The Ranger think: "This is bad!!". 5 minutes latter, in the Strategy Center another Ranger says to you. "General!! Our base is under attack!!"
I play this music while playing Starcraft 2...it cause me to quickly finish that match then play Generals instead. I don't know if it's just me, or they're something in CnC General that can't be found in most of the "modern" RTS games. I don't know what it is. I can't describe it in words either. I just feel something in Generals....something that make it superior to most RTS out there.
+Dr Galactose It IS indeed freaking awesome, I also really really enjoyed Warcraft III from that era, and Starcraft, but of the more modern RTS's I also find Starcraft II truly awesome, having played it a lot and CAN'T WAIT for Legacy of The Void! But I agree with you, Generals truly has an atmospheric depth that's hard to match...
+Dr Galactose what you are trying to say is that no other game has the level of micromanagement that Generals has. I mean in games like Starcraft if you lose 10 marines at the start its over, but when you lose 10 marines in end game no one cares. This is different in G where all you units can be used in a variety of ways in course of the whole game. For example a USAF Chinook can be used to bait rocket fire, which is mitigated by point laser defense, while using other units to attack. This level of micro also means that players skill and potentional is used at maximum as you can win numerous opponents by yourself through better positioning, angles, use of cover and blind spots, etc.
+Dr Galactose Objectively I prefer Tiberian Sun (like generals it does allot of things modern RTS games do not) but I have to agree generals is a great deal better than more recent RTS games like grey goo, star craft 2, and planetary annihilation. Part of it has to do with the overall strategies involved with the game, in generals you have three factions that though they can effectively use similar strategies, they also each bring something unique to the table. The USA with its advanced tech, air superiority, and precision weapons. China with its masses of infantry, heavy tanks and devastating nuclear attacks. Last but certainly not least the GLA with its subversive and crippling attacks, ability to move forces undetected, and area denial toxin weapons. In any given match, the factions interact in ways you rarely see out side of generals. What map you play will also greatly affect your strategic goals in general, a great deal more than in lets say star craft. There are positions that are worth taking and actually holding, and the ability to build defensive structures that actually do something, along with no unit cap means you can effectively hold these points with out compromising your ability to effectively attack. Another thing that really sets general apart is the fact that a macro tactic is often just as effective as micros in generals, meaning that even low skill players can actually play the game and derive some enjoyment. Also you get to play the game how you want, using tactics you actually find fun while still gaining some degree of success, instead of what ever is the most meta at the time. You can't really say the same for star craft 2, a micro strategist will always win over a macro, even if the macro had unlimited zerg forces to throw at the enemy the micro will still win. Of course lets not forget the real game changers in generals, super weapons, and the ability to use a shit ton of them. Alone a single super weapon can easily break a death ball of units, but when you have every one using 6+ super buildings each and throwing nukes, Particle cannons, and scuds around like dodge balls it just gets to a point of absurdity that you don't find in games like star craft.
6:13 Particle cannon ready in *0.00* Particle cannon ready in *0.00* Particle cannon ready in 0.03 Particle cannon ready in 0.14 Particle cannon ready in 0.26 Prints a “L” on enemy base ”Yyyzhhhhhhh” Then a “S” next to it “Bbzhhhhhhhh” burning enemy soldiers screaming. ... massive frame drop inflicts
I want a Command & Conquer Generals 2 game now!!! Damn EA for canceling the 2nd game and butchering it. All we fans want is the same game with updated graphics and a new faction/units that is well balanced.
Hell yeah! I really didn't like the intro for Generals 2, for example General Thrax:"welcome to the green side of life, baby!" Seemed so fucking stupid and ridiculous, like making fun of the game and "popping" it up! The original trailer was miles better, more serious.
I agree, EA totally messed up by turning this epic game into a shitty free-to-play browser game. They should've kept the same concept, but with better graphics and new units (or maybe a new faction). I'm actually happy that they cancelled it, at least they realized their obvious mistake.
@@stormtrooper51ru You mean if they would release it now? Yeah, of course it'll be crap. Plus also not happening due to OGs being political-incorrect af (chinese banning of 1st China mission in Generals, german robotized commanders in ZH, etc.) It's not the time for such a game, sadly.
@@KiR2RuN4FuN I'll tell you a secret - There exist mod for ZH, called Contra 007 and there is a robot general, and, of course, he is american general (P.S. The developer is russian so no worries) (P.P.S. i heard about german version only that it's censored suicide bombers as bombs on wheels or something)
Armor bolted in. Ill puncture the next thing that moves! Begin stitching! Quad cannon! Yes? Yes yes! Four on the floor! Dont get on my bad side! Dont push me! I do not have patience for this! Stop them dead in their tracks! They will break and shatter
Once I changed Rangers' weapon to flashbang and make them get into building by Chinook The result is that all men, including mine and enemy, died completely and the building become blank.
@@pensacola38 It's a shame General Alexander's Aurora planes packed so much more of a punch, when Granger should have clearly had plane victory all through!
Haven't heard this soundtrack in at least 2 years. And not often at all for about 3-4 years. But I hit the first track and I'm already humming along as if I had heard the tune just yesterday. Awesome.

I introduced this game to a friend, his strategy was to build endless amounts of commanche gunships. I didn't complain, he wasn't wrong. Commanches kick severe amount of ass.
14:00 This melody has never left my head since childhood. Most of the time I just try to beat box to it even though I forgot where it came from, but coming back to see where it came from, man. This was a good childhood game I'm never gonna regret having played.
+SkyMix_RMT I got one question though... and its NOT about shoes.... is it me or everyone here has the same childhood? I saw my father play the game and that's how I found about it. I was in 3rd grade at that time. now I'm 16 and I play it like theres no other game
superROTV It's a shame to see that such good game is not that known around the world, imagine if it was as popular as minecraft, the forums, the custom maps, the mods! So much stuff the community would make!
Battle Royal
I have played this game since 1995 when I was 30 then. The best part of these games are the many ways to win or how you lose. Never saw or played a game that can match C&C. I have No idea why they stopped producing this C&C Series. It truly is for all ages
Man, I still love this game. The music in it was just icing to how awesome it is. Still remember strafing bases with King Raptors and fully loaded Combat Chinooks. Oh, the memories...
***** hey , i have a good pc but even if yu have windows xp r windows vista r 7 you can play it r just download it and install , and make a Gameranger account and play online for freee bro
+PersianWarlock what's new ? its already available and has been for quite a while, i constantly play with russia :D you should also try the Contra mod, a really cool one aswell
PersianWarlock oooh damn, so for example russia also gets 3 new generals? thats going to be so awesome. the only bad thing about ROTR is that it lags badly when you play against multiple insane AI, it should be more optimized
15:38 Tank up. Build about 40 supply drops and 8 airfields and 4 war factories while building power plants continuously. Son, I'm gonna show you my ECONOMY POWER. This is the true meaning of shock and awe....
+Hiei2k7 Too bad there isn't some "keep building unit" button in Generals... Very funny strategy to just build up huge economy, lots of factories, set the waypoint to enemy base and start building endless spam of ... anything :D There you have to do it manually :P
Theme #6 was used in the end of episode 19th of the third season of the Russian TV series "Fizruk". This piece was credited as "Rotten Apple" in the closing credits.
Bulgarian game shows love using cnc generals music as background. And it's many different types of shows that do this, not a small subset. I have no idea why
Humvee : Buckle up! Keep the change. Crusader Tank : USA Armor division. Anywhere you say sir. Paladin Tank : Protecting Our People. Doing what’s right. Commanche : Commanche Here. Yes sir. I GOT YOU COVERED.
this was such a fun great game, despite some deviation from traditions I played this most. With a great soundtrack that gives different moods fitting modern war
Me too. I played this game to death, defeated all CCG 1 missions over and over again.then my computer broke, and it was 3 years until i got a new one and i got CCG with zero hour too.Just floods of good childhood memories came rushing back to me and when i listen to the three factions music,i feel like a kid again, and its sad because when i look back, those where my golden years, and now i have lots of responsibilities. Damn why did i have to grow up?
i'm playing these songs when using US and Nato faction tanks in Armored warfare, tears build in my eye, especially when 15:38 part of the music playing
