Believe it or not, Bojan, but I used to be a Baptist protestant before I began my conversion to Catholicism this last year. I try to keep my comments somewhat lighthearted, and I’m sorry that some of my former churchmates act like such awful servants of Christ. I still appreciate all the work you put in to make these fantastic videos, and I’ll keep you in my prayers. Dominus vobiscum
@@a.d1287 I'm not the OC, but I'm converting from Baptist to either Catholicism or Orthodoxy, leaning towards orthodoxy, which is hard to do in Alabama. I realized my church was dead after watching Jonathan Pagaeu and realizing that my church hates beauty. I also knew that Orthodox actually follow their religion, while 95% of the girls and boys I grew up with have the chastity and character of an ape. Of course, I'm learning more every day of why I should join Orthodoxy, mainly being that it's Christ's church.
Hey. I'm a reformed Christian and I love your videos and watch every one. I'd never encountered anyone Orthodox until recently and your videos have been a Christlike, non-vitriolic resource to learn more (especially on things like icons, which I of course completely misunderstood at first). It gives me great comfort to hear how much we have in common and that, despite the chasm of differences, I believe you are a fellow brother in Christ. Ironically, much more so than many Protestants. Keep it up :).
Hi Im a new Orthodox. I was raised a Seventh Day Adventist. Then i became a Christian and began as an Evangelical Pentecostal, then Southern Baptist where i was kicked out, then i became Lutheran before getting suspicious about a lot of things ultimately forceing me into Orthodoxy. I spent the last two evenings laughing at your humor. I really enjoy your videos. May our Lord richly bless you.
Luther be like: "Let's concentrate on what's important: God's grace alone justifies us. But, of course, the veneration of Saints is useful - they're role models of Christian life... Of course, just because the apocrypha are not canonic, doesn't mean they aren't true and useful..." Calvin be like: "CrAvEn ImAgEs!!! REEEEEEEEEE!!!! BURN THEM ALLL!!! PREDESTINATION!!!!"
As a former Baptist, I apologize for that Baptist minister. He was clearly a troll. I think you're response was excellent. And who knows? An anti-Catholic Baptist minister played a not insignificant role in my own conversion. I have a small confession: where I live there is a Baptist church which advertises itself as "the perfect place for people who aren't." I may have made a small sign with Matthew 5:48 written across it. And I may have left it in front of the church.
Im not sure id go so far as to call them professional liars. They are simply afraid to look at scripture without their own tradition. They dont even realize they are doing it. Therefore they cant see what should be plainly visible. In my own case after getting the boot from the Baptists (over my disgust with modern praise music) i found myself in a Lutheran Church. This forced me to examine a new doctrine of the Eucharist. I then began to doubt EVERYTHING I knew about theology. I actually asked myself if I actually believed as Christ taught, and not later developed theology. A friend in a Former Seventh Day Adventist help group pointed out several key doctrines taught in the New Testament , a bomb blew up in Cairo killing 33 people who i now KNEW to be my own Brothers and Sisters. I then discarded EVERYTHING i "knew". And became Orthodox. Id rather die than leave.
@@MrPanchoak my problem with these theologians is not that they're biased with their own tradition, but that they perpetuate blatant lies about the Orthodox, Catholic, and Coptic churches.
Брате Бојане, моја супруга (која иначе није Српкиња) обожава твој канал јер ти је глас, у њеним речима, "soothing!". Радујем се што смо нашли твој канал. Само настави!
I was born in Newcastle upon Tyne, and I have noticed that people from other parts of the world like Scotland and Yorkshire speak English with funny accents. I wouldn’t worry about it.
I love the genuineness of this video on your part. We are all human and fall into times in which we love being snarky towards people being rude to us even if we shouldn't. I know the point of this episode is the rant, but I couldn't help but chuckle, especially at 0:44. Get your money and buy the new Final Fantasy game and your country's version of pizza.
I actually appreciate how you speak. Just do what you do and be yourself. My life has been enriched since finding your channels, both in being amused by your jokes and having the Orthodox life put in terms I can understand. As much as I can understand because we've only been part of an Orthodox church now for a month, coming from Evangelicalism. Thank you for helping the learning curve not be a wall, lol.
Ok, I giggled a few times. I have a young friend who is quick on his feet who I go to church with. He went to bat on several issues. I was grateful for his debating skills. I am still fb friends with the lady who said the erroneous things. During this debate, a family member, pastor, jumped on the bandwagon against Ed the religious “offenders.” Then I went back the next day and all the pastor’s comments were gone. My respect for him grew, even if I don’t agree with him. Some people really do care even when they are wrong. You still showed respect and that says a lot about your character. Thank you
Sorry on the behalf of the Baptist Preacher btw. It's very hard growing up in a Protestant Church and then seeing Orthodoxy. I was Baptist, it gets intense whenever other theology is brought up. Protestants mean well. I wouldn't take it personally. But, you should have pulled up "On the Jews and their lies" if you wanted to bug them lol. That was one of the big ones that brought me to Orthodoxy.
Beautiful iconography! Congratulations on mastering your blessed talent. The terms ecumenism and ecumenical come from the Greek οἰκουμένη (oikoumene), which means "the whole inhabited world" T he term should not be used in a bad way since we are called as Christians to be one in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. The the original term carries no connotation of re-uniting the historically separated Christian denominations.
Not Cathlodox...but I want to say some encouraging comments. 1) I have nothing against your voice. In fact, I think you have a good sounding voice! Those people putting your voice down are ridiculous. I understand what it's like being looked down upon for things out of your control. I've always been considered a weirdo my whole life...even in churches by the laypeople...so I can sympathize with 2) All of us get the comments from Atheists...we get how you feel 😒
Fr.John Cox an OCA priest who lives(lived?) in Virginia? I believe he used to be the priest at the parish I've been going to the past few months( I'm new to orthodoxy)
I have been Baptist my entire life, and still attend a baptist church. I'm just beginning my spiritual journey, and plan to go into ministry. I know a little bit about Catholicism, and practically nothing about Orthodoxy. I am curious. The Martin Luther quotes really kind of put my denomination on the spot, and I would like to learn more about it.
American Monarchist My Godchildren’s dad was a Lutheran Pastor until a year ago. Here’s some of his Lutheran information from an 8 year research on Lutheranism and Orthodoxy. www.nolongersola.com/the-orthodox-faith-1
I don't like it when anyone from any denomination attacks anyone else from another denomination for their beliefs, as we are all Followers of Christ even with our sometimes drastic differences. Unless their denomination is anti-trinitarian(not having different beliefs on the specifics on the trinity, but rejecting the divinity of any one of the three beings, that sort of thing). Stake-burnings were common for them.
I just don’t understand why people would try to condemn other people Because they love and worship Jesus Christ in a different way then other people do. I think it’s stupid.
Next time Bojane just send him a link where he can buy three treatises on the Devine images buy saint john of Damascus..abd if you haven't read it you have to
When I was Roman Catholic I used my first three fingers and the thumb and Pinky or just hanging out there. Everybody does it differently and I was doing it almost doesn't open hand nobody cares! They do it backwards anyway. ;-)

Ah, I knew it. There are two Putin related comments here, your pro putin one with 4 upvotes, the anti putin reply with none and another anti Putin one with none. So it seems overall that orthodox like Putin.
