Hi! Nice, informative videos. I have a question about boots, so I thought I'd ask it here. If I think I'll be wearing them in the rain, 1.) What should I be looking for when I buy them to ensure they're decently water resistant, ie. leather type, sole type, construction method, etc; and 2.) How should I take care of them after each rain? Thanks!
Great questions. I would say to help with rain resistance I would recommend getting any sole type other than full leather. Something like a rubber sole or a crepe sole. Leather type isn’t as important but to help water proof them I would recommend leather conditioner. Apply a healthy amount each month and you should be good to go!
@@StartupCowboy Thanks! I had heard a darker Horween chromexcel was a good leather if you thought you'd be wearing your boots in the rain, but I don't know if it's a popular leather for cowboy boots. Maybe engineer boots would be the way to go with that.
