There are three within a 5 mile radius of where I'm at. Two off the 99 freeway, and the third just opened off the 58 Westbound. They are all always packed as well. They must just print money there. 😂
@@bouji_ They always paid their employees well. They don't have extra over head like marketing cost. Have you ever seen a commercial for in and out? Their food speaks for itself. The savings go to the employees. Mcd has to give you a toy so you have to eat their meals.
In-N-Out has stayed faithful to their roots in creating a hamburger joint with a simple menu and freshly cooked food and ingredients with a fair price. Employees that are paid decently is another good point.
The only time I saw an empty In N Out was when they opened Raising Cains across the street from the one in Northridge but I'm sure that didn't last long.
I live in San Francisco, but I was born/raised in Los Angeles in 1986. In-N-Out has NEVER gotten my order wrong, and I have NOT ONCE been disappointed in my meal. My best friend in High School worked there, and they not only paid well, she said it was the best job she'd ever had. Moral is always high and she was there for about six years, providing for her family. World traveling chef and journalist Anthony Bourdain once called In-N-Out Burger "the only American chain worth a damn" and praised their french fries and shakes, also pointing out that the company "treat their employees like human beings" His favorite was the animal style double double, by the way. My almost weekly go-to is the Number 2, mustard fried with grilled onions and if you are feeling extra hungry, get your fries 'animal style'. Or, if you just like the 'secret sauce' and want to dip your fries in it, you can ask for a 'side of spread' with your order. I'm so curious, though, seeing as you are from Germany, what is your go-to order when you get In-N-Out? No wrong answers :)
McDonalds and the other fast food burger shops should take notice of the MEGA success of In-N-Out . The three main reasons In-N-Out is so successful : 1. Super clean restaurant , there's always someone cleaning tables, windows, floors and restrooms !! 2. The employees are super friendly, bright and clean cut with no visible tattoos .They all work like a well oiled machine because the company took the time to train them well .(Very important). 3. The food is made to order for each customer and is FRESH !! The fries you are eating were whole potatoes just minutes before that. When you bite into the burger, that meat is very hot because it just was removed from the grill . Meat is never frozen and fries never come out of a frozen bag either . This is what is called, fresh food . Because of all the above, customers don't mind waiting a few short minutes to enjoy a fresh quality, made to order meal , rather than the other burger places that have the food sitting in warming bins, YUK !! And no, I don't work for In-N-Out, I'm just a long time customer . Clean, great service and fresh food !! (sorry, I have to say it, "That's what a burger is all about !)😀
The best part about In-N- Out is their burgers (everything else is alright to say the least, minus the animal fries > never tried) and if you like onions, I get the animal style burger with the grilled/caramelized onions. With that said, I prefer the thick steak-like slab of raw onion. Nice slab of raw onion adds a big crispy texture to every bite is the best way to have an In-N- Out burger! In my best opinion. Mmm so, so, good .
The saddest thing is that In-N-Out's quality used to be the standard for American fast food restaurants before corporate greed took over. For this reason alone I have dropped most fast food burger chains, and from what I'm seeing price-wise lately, it was a great idea. Speak with your wallets people! We can live without McDonalds fries! (KFC is a prime example of this. Look at any KFC in the 80's.)
I just hope this expansion isn't the beginning of them becoming Burger King or McDonalds. Raising prices and cutting corners on quality. Or worst becoming five guys and charging $30 for a burger to keep up with cost of expanding.

Try again
@@brokentoothstudio4929 They are decent but not great. Very good prices and wholesome people working there. I loathe the crowds, so I don't go very often.
@@jasonspain1466 well i live in Cali so there's plenty here. Hopefully the craze dies out soon. But it's pretty typical even here to be stuck in line for 30mins at least.
This comment is four months late at this viewing. I am a past president of NATAS Pacific Southwest. I also have chaired Emmy committees. I have to tell you that, if I were judging this story, I would 100% vote "Emmy worthy." Great job with storytelling, visuals and editing. Thanks for posting a piece on my favorite burger place here in Carlsbad. BTW, I worked at In n' Out #5 in Pasadena way back in the day.
As a Californian I won't even wait 20 mins lol. Kudos to these people. In my city, lines are constantly out the door, and drive thru is equally, if not worse. Enjoy Idaho
Most people in Idaho know in n out cause they are from California!!! And yet people can't stop talking bad about California!! And Texas loves California they just try to hide it😂😂
Waiting 8 HOURS for a burger. If that doesn't scream, "Merica!" I'm not sure what does (lol). After a post-workout meal, I'll get the 4×4. Epic! I will wait maybe 10 minutes, but certainly not spend the night in a truck, that is next-level dedication right there!
i live in st. george, UT (the biggest city not in the wasatch front). we got an in'n'out in 2008 (I was 2) and the line has been so long ever since. in the last 2-3 months they just announced their second location in the city and I know the line will still be just as long. also the opening of the one in meridian was their biggest opening ever and they sold something like 9,000 burgers on opening day and have already started construction on the boise location.
Eagerly awaiting In-N-Out's new location in Flagstaff Arizona!!! Should be any day now, it was supposed to be last fall (2023) but apparently took a bit longer than anticipated.
I'm from Arizona and we've had In-n-out for quite a few years now. However, In-n-out in freezing cold weather IE Utah or Idaho just doesn't feel right....
As a in and out fan. I will tell you its worth the wait i will tell u its real food not that fake stuff. And i have never had a complaint other than the line 😔
I usually make my own burgers at home, But Hands down if I amin the mood for a Burger I am an In N Out person , Or I like Five guys. But Happy for Boise, you guys deserve it . I lve here in Bay Area where we have a few to choose from but it's always packed of course. I have family there in Boise , So I am happy for them too. YAY long live In n Out.
Been going to to IN 'OUT since the early 90s when I was traveling ocassionally through central California. It had ways had the taste of an old fashion burger and fries from Mom and Pop hamburger stands of the 50s. So glad the company has grown and still keeps to its original quality in food and customer service. I keep hearing in this video about " animal fries" from these Idaho folks,I never heard of it.
Every In-n-out Grande opening I've ever been to brought in *several* 18 Wheeler Mobile In-n-out's to handle the crowds, and they stayed for about a week.
I am done with in and out….or whatever they call it….yeah it tastes good…and the fries if they just came out of the fryer they are good…but….but…if you live in California and you are surrounded by in-N-out joints then you kind of get tired of it….a better hamburger is from “the hat” it is a hamburger joint as old as in-N-out…and for whatever reasons they also don’t want to open restaurants outside of California….so if you ever come to our beautiful, one of a kind, richest, all the way anti trump state look for “the hat” you will love their hamburgers…
I lived in the city of San Fernando California back in the 70s and there was an In-N-Out there. Their hamburgers were great. I left LA in the late 80s and didn't go back to visit until 2016. Of course I had to go to an and In-N-Out and shortly after we landed at LAX and got our rental car I saw one so we stopped there and I ordered a "Double Double". It was nothing even close to the quality back when I lived there. It was no better than McD's, and I've not eaten McD's but a few times since I left LA. I don't get how anyone can say In-N-Out is even close to good anymore.
I lived in San Fernando, as well, even during the 1994 northridge quake. I still have a magazine of the damage from the Feb, 6 1971 Sylmar quake where downtown San Fernando was demolished, I enjoyed living there, their police force was as good as Beverly Hills! Portions of a lot of the "CHiP's' TV series were filmed there.
@@carlc5748 : I moved to Sylmar in 1973 and lived there for about 6 years and felt some aftershocks that were pretty strong. I also knew Gary Davis who did the motorcycle stunts for the "CHiP's' TV series. They did a lot of those on the 210 fwy when it was just built. Used to watch the "hangliders" jump off the mountain there, and saw a few who crashed their kites there, and even a few who were killed doing that. Those guys were flat out crazy!
I’ve heard this to be the very best. Although I certainly doubt that I will ever get to even taste the animal style, being I reside in Miami Florida and there most likely will never be an In-N-Out close enough for me to try in my lifetime. What a disappointment to my self and the others living in South Florida.
I would not wait 5 hours for a Double Double. They taste decent, but that's not the best part of In n Out. The prices are better than other burger places, and the people they hire are mostly wholesome. All In n Outs where I live are busy from open to close. There's a very short window in early afternoon when the line is not overwhelming. That's the only time I try to slip in for a burger.
I just got talking to a representative at McDonald's about how lousy their food was, and if they made food like they used to they won't have to spend billions of dollars on advertisement to make people think they have good food brainwashing to people and don't get me started on the special sauces to cover up how bad the food is
Honestly, I cannot see what the hype is. There’s one in my neighborhood. I went there one time and it was the worst hamburger I ever tasted. But to each his own.
Lot of credit need to go to corporate. When they open a place they have semi trucks of food, never run out. Extra personal there for months. And know how to organize the drive through line for efficiently.
Bill ROCKS!!! I have only lived here 9 years, but I still almost cried!!!! I was so happy to hear they are here!!! I love that they are so healthy, CHRISTIAN and compensate their employees generously. They are a wonderful company and with great values, healthy-ish food and I love it!!! 🥰 🎉 ❤
it is normal here i ca for the drive throughs to be backed up out onto the streets. the inside, i have never seen it out the door. but still a deep line.
As good as their burgers are, that’s how BAD the fries are at In N Out. You got about 90 seconds to eat them and after that they suck. About the worst fries you can get anywhere.
That’s because when you order fries there you have to tell them, can I get light fries, that way they don’t over cook them. I agree if you don’t say light fries they are not that good.
as someone in hospitality I always bring up In n Out for out of state guests. If someone already tried it, then I offer Five Guys and or Fat Burger. I also offer Bob's Burgers. The real Bob's burgers in Westminster CA.
A great way to introduce your out of state guests, to the local culture! What is the history of Bob's burgers, have not heard of them before? Is there a fake (clone-type) version of Bob's burgers, like you see with variants of Tommy's burgers?
@@hazewilliams2117 you should, make sure to get the combo. They add fried zucchini’s so good 😊 make, ask for some of the yellow peppers… wash it down with a Dr Pepper . Enjoy
In N Out is NOT just a hamburger 🍔🤤 It’s the burger of the gods. My meal is the Double Double with onions, animal fries and a root beer 🍺 float. Oh, and chilies on the side
Everyone does underestimating how consistent in and out burgers are. Whataburger could be considered similar but still different. it's of the same quality tier.
Even here in Los Angeles we have to deal with long lines at every In-N -Out and I have like 10 In-N-Out burgers within a 15-20 minute drive. But worth the wait.
Love it! I don't think any other chain can lay claim to anything like this - not shake shack, not whattaburger (although they're both pretty good). It just shows the allure of In N Out. Quality trumps everything.
It’s a great burger I don’t care what anybody says. It’s a great burger and I’m glad they’re getting to experience that in Idaho and that’s for the girl that never had in an hour before that’s pretty funny not unusual but it’s pretty funny I worked with a guy along time ago at Home Depot, and one of our employees said hey, let’s go get a burrito and he asked what’s a burrito. He had moved here from the Midwest and never had a burrito in his life. I know completely different food, but same story.
The food is very good, whenever I'm in Southern California i go there several times for either lunch or dinner, michigan could definitely use an In & Out
They had some colorful bumper stickers years ago with the palm trees that said IN-N-OUT BURGER Everybody took a razor knife to get rid of the B and the R so it read: IN-N-OUT URGE
Someone who's never been here must think this is a very, very quiet backwater, if the opening of a burger chain outlet could cause this much excitement *in the media*. Please, you guys. We know already.
