I’ve got 2 semesters left in my CS degree and I’m currently working as a Software Developer and it’s awesome. I just want to say to people when I started CS I really thought I wasn’t good enough and wouldn’t make it. Just keep working hard, anyone can do it!
Very nice to see a fellow computer science major who is personable and makes computer science accessible, instead of those bizarre black box type kids who just write LeetCode for hours on end without ever looking up
Congrats. I feel a lot of Asian kids would be envious of the fact that you are actually passionate about tech and coding, at least I am. Passion can really help you go a long way. And I think more colleges should have co-ops to help students understand what it's like to be in the industry. Btw that sounds like a decent badminton smash.
In regards to your subscriber timeline: your "coding interviews be like..." hit 1.5 million views, for a great reason! its a FANTASTIC! SO RELATEABLE! And made ME LOL so hard! at the end! That was the reason why I subscribed! I think that may have been the video that shot up this channel! congratulations! You deserve it!
After having some thoughts of being a computer science major I began seeing these types of videos getting recommended to me for some reason, I wouldn't say it's bad I just find it disturbing and creepy how RU-vid knew what's on my mind the moment I started talking about my future career... That being said, this video did help me get over a bit of my insecurities and anxiety towards my future career. At first, I thought everyone who graduated from a computer related subject were either a shut in or a complete nerd but thanks to this video I realize everyone starts off as a beginner and there's always a way to improve. All and all, thanks again for the answers, Nicholas.
Nick, you are the RU-vidr that I really appreciate bcs compared to other highly expert RU-vidrs, you seem very straight down to Earth and normal and your content is good at the same time! I really appreciate your videos where you both describe a rl situation in an interview or internship and make our dread as programmers look funny for us to laugh! :))))) I love your channel and how you only do videos once every time you have an idea bcs it takes the pressure off and you just do the fun content that we love unrestrained! Great having you in my playlist buddy! :)
Haha just discovered your channel in my last week here in Waterloo. Remember to enjoy your school life as much as possible, as someone who is going to grad this term xd
Oh wow I wish we also had co-ops at my uni. I've been studying for 3 semesters now and everything has been online. I still feel like I'm not even close to good enough to actually work in the field and have no clue what would actually await me when starting at a company. I have no idea what expectations there will be in the real world. Everything still feels so abstract.
Just transferred (thank god) from a shitty school to a big state uni for math and CS and it was refreshing to get honest views/insights from someone. Thanks for this vid fam =)
Nick my name is Nicholas as well. And I’m in grade 12 hoping to get into a computer science program next year. I love finding people with my name who have things in common with me 😂
We’re you good at math when you started to learn how to code? Is that necessary? Since I’m not really good with advanced math but good at curriculum math
Finally riding the youtube algorithm bro! Enjoy the ad revenue but please don't become one of those mad clickbaiting channels. Views will come and go in waves, but remember: More vids = compounding revenue ;)
ok great and all......but what the heck is a binary tree????? to this day im still so confused oh and can you throw a hashmap at it....whatever that is aswell XDD
