I followed your recipe for covering my resistant gray hairs. I do two-step process using Moroccan Henna and Indigo then the indigo. It took 3 tries but now I’m very pleased with the coverage. Thank you so much for your willingness to share your knowledge.

I don't want copper necessarily. I'd prefer a deep burgundy on my grays to compliment my natural dark brown remaining follicle soldiers. I started going grey at 11. I'm now 50 the grays are now outnumbering the browns.

My final color result for my greys were coppery orange but since the ends of my locs are lighter brown with blonde mix, I am loving it. I used Rajistani Indian henna mixed with organic indigo from Henna Sooq, with amla and aloe vera, mixed according to this video and added them together.

I have been trying to get a red to burgundy, I have it on the ends but those roots not happening. I end up with a flames light at roots and darker as it gets to the ends. Indigo just caused my dark hair to come out more black than brown so I had to stop. Because most of my greys are in my hair line. So trying to get it all to one color root to tip has yet to happen. So I embrace the flame 😁❤

Hi Khadija, so I have been using your products for maybe a year now with the desired outcome being jet black I do the 2step process using 50g moroccan henna and 50g indigo to get the brown and then co wash out and apply the indigo. However, after like maybe a few days here comes the grays at the middle of roots so annoying because its only a few strands but noticable because I wear my hair with centre parting in a poinytail. I'm wondering could I mix 40g henna with 60g indigo step 1 in order for it to maybe get darker and then do step 2 of pure indigo? Please help because I still have not ever fully achieved full jet black any suggestions would be truly appreciated Ive even tried adding salt but the results are still the same. Thanks Yolanda

In your case, I believe she advised to do 2 steps: First 3:1 Henna and Indigo Second Just indigo

Would it be okay to use amla, aloe, *and* corn starch when mixing with henna? Or is corn starch not needed if amla is used? I tried corn starch the last time I did a treatment and the henna/indigo seems to have stayed in a little better. Someone had mentioned that the thicker their henna, the better the color seemed to hold. Usually it's noticeably gone in less than a week.

Hello. Yes you can try that as long as it isn’t a lot of ingredients that make the color diluted too much as well.

I am going to touch up my roots in a few weeks with natural hair dye for the first time. I do not have a lot of gray roots. I would say less than 50% gray. My main concern is for the dye not to make my hair too dry. So I plan to add aloe vera and fenugreek. Since I only need enough for my roots, my ratio for dark brown color will be 5 teaspoons Henna and 15 teaspoons Indigo, 3:1 ratio. With those amounts, how much aloe vera power and how much fenugreek power should I add to the recipe?

Hello. For the aloever 1-2 tsp and for fenugreek. For Fenugreek, you can mix 50 grams of fenugreek powder (100 grams for up to shoulder length hair, adjust as needed).

Hello. You can use right after. All of our hair washes, and shampoo bars are color safe with the exception of our Soapnut ones as they are clarifying and should be used before coloring.

Thank you for the video. I’ve been dyed my grey hair with henna for almost 30 years and now I’m in my 60, people are telling me “your hair is red now” So I decide to tone down with indigo so I did. Color came out okay with dark brown but I don’t like it. It is just not me after 30 years of henna only orangish color hair. My question is this “Can it be reversible?” Can I have orangish henna color back? You’ve been mentioned that more Indio to get darker result but not to lighter. Can it get back to lighter color? Hello. Please make sure to do indigo within 72 hours of henna application (right after or next day included). Indigo does not always work the first time and repeated application(s) may be necessary.

Hi Khadijah, I have watched lots of your videos as I am doing my research thoroughly before trying henna. In one of your other videos you say to us only 1 teaspoon of Aloe Vera. The contrast in this video for the full head of grey hair with Moroccan henna you recommend 2 tablespoons! I found a on another video a comment you replied to and your reply said 1 teaspoon per 100 gms henna. I am going to go with this and hope it is the correct answer (still can’t understand the 2 tablespoons).

Aloe vera is very potent so you don't have to overdo it. I usually don't measure, but I usually use 1 TBSP. I might have misspoke, because I do think a tsp is pretty small. I would not worry too much about the exact measurements because Aloe vera does not affect the color at all. It is just for moisture!

The 2 TBSN advice is in printed on the video screen in the recipe for getting copper colour on resistant grey hair, which I have a full head of! I have just purchased the Moroccan henna from a UK website that sells your Henna Sooq products. In another video you mention that RED RAJ henna is best for covering resistant grey, so I hope I have purchased the correct henna. I guess maybe that Red Raj doesn’t give copper colour?

Wish I could buy your products here in Eastern Europe. I colored my hair with henna two days ago and it turned out a disaster. I am still very grateful for your videos though as I had no idea that I am supposed to wait a few hours after mixing henna with water for the dye release. The website I ordered my henna from claims their henna is pure but after going through your videos I have doubts now. The front part of my hair is copper/deep orange color, while the rest of my hair is very dark. Anyone on here who also lives in E.Europe and ordered henna from the USA?

Sorry if this sounds dumb but what do ppl mean when they say it’s hard to “lift” the henna? Does this mean you can not use chemical dyes until you lift the henna?? Or what if you just stop using henna for let’s say 6 months wouldn’t the henna fade on it’s own… sorry that was a lot lol but thank you!

It’s permanent and very hard to remove even when you can’t see it if you try to color over it it might affect the color you are aiming for.

@@heated717 I would say yes if the new growth has never been Henna. But any part of the hair that has been colored is the part that is very hard to remove

@@heated717the compounds in henna will still be part of the hair strand even if the color is no longer the same. And that can be tricky because it appears to be gone by our eyes but molecularly it is different than untreated hair
