If you need to have more air volume for your compressor, you don't need to but a BIGGER compressor. Find a used tank and connect them together. One motor will balance both and you can double or triple your air capacity.
So I'm needing a higher cfm compressor for sandblasting etc. My question is I have a very small 3gal compressor. I'd like to add a 10 gal air tank to it. But at 1/3hp I'm reluctant it's powerful enough?
Does the reserve tank need to be connected to the primary tank before or after the main tanks regulator? Or does it matter? I have a regular on my second tank we're I plug in so the reserve tank is regulated .
AFTER the main tank regulator ...think of the normal output. Then on the spare tank, I have a regular manifold (no electric box of course) with two outputs. One for tools, one for paint. The one for paint has a filter on it. Do a search on EBAY for this and you will see the manifold for the spare tank WL024502AV Air Compressor Manifold Assembly Campbell Hausfeld WL802700 Just pop that on the spare tank (into the main pipe) and run a short hose ffrom compressor OUT to spare tank in. Then all your work is don't off the spare tank fittings
@@D34dBaWx No problem..if you want to see how successful I was painting, check my one drive link...I never worried about Air pressure and didn't have to spend HUGE dollars .. 1drv.ms/f/s!AoQ15fY-JFvS-O4IWwADUEdGQO9h8g
@@arcorob i would have thought that you would want both tanks to have the maximum amount of pressure in them. For that wouldn't you want to join both tanks after the pressure switch but before the compressors regulator?
Clint..I am so far behind of videos...spent the summer doing all the body and prep work...and finally a few weeks ago did the paint which came out AWESOME. Did the blue first base/clear. Sanded the top side so I could paint the stripes and reclear all....I have some pictures here and plan the MONTHS of update videos this week...hope you like the pics 1drv.ms/f/s!AoQ15fY-JFvS-O4IWwADUEdGQO9h8g
BTW..if you see something in the pictures that looks like wrinkles? It is the reflection of the plastic I have hung ...very nice clear reflection in the paint ...like I said...came out amazing
Hello Great video I am looking to get a tank connect together I have a 90l and would like to get another perhaps 90l tank so I can work both hvlp spray gun and also an air fed mask I'm morely after more cfm as i can't work both at the moment with 1 tank so would I be ok ?
NO - YOu cannot use that type of compressor for an air fed mask unless you have the proper filtration ...but if you see my setup, I do have two outputs so you could do the same...I would research how you filter the air
Okay, contact Tri City Manifold on Ebay - My exact model says sold out but he may suggest something similar - here is the original order - WL024502AV Air Compressor Manifold Assembly Campbell Hausfeld Wl802700
when you connected both compressors you should have went in two female quick connectors on both tanks and use a small air hose with 2 male connectors, that way you could seperate the two without the use of any more tools
Thank you ...Hope I didn't sound like a d*ck,,,LOL....Text doesn't show emotion and I meant nothing bad :-) - That second tank saved me !! And since I put TWO outlets on the second tank side, it allowed me to use one for tools, unfiltered and the second with oil.water filters for painting without wearin them out. UPDATE : The first tank and compressor gave up the ghost a short time back (after 3 rebuilds) so I bought a brand new main from harbor freight and did the same setup. Worked like a charm and have never spent ALOT on a huge compressor ..have agreat day@@duartepaintinghandymanservices
Robert Arco yea my 21gal did the same and was able to purchase another 21 with 3hp motor for another $60, it only needed a new regulator which I had from the old compressor, so now I have setup the old 21gal for extra air when running my Air Assisted Airless Unit, the 21 gal by itself does a great job on its own, so I figured adding that extra 21gal the motor will barely have run constantly
