I have heard both Einat and Haviv. Neither hold a candle to the scholarship of Khalidi and historians like Illan Pappe. The settler/refugee distinction is of little use unless you accept the historical current that insisted on the violent displacement of native Palestinians as well as their continued occupation and extermination.

Part of why Palestinians have no voice is because of Hamas. Hamas does not brook criticism. The War of Return by Dr. Einat Wilf is an excellent study of the conflict. And the writings and videos featuring Haviv Redding Gur is an excellent resource also. When you look at the history of Jews and current events, it is clear that Zionism is necessary. And at the time 100 years ago the Palestinians were people living in the area not the Palestinians as described since the 60s when Arafat renamed the Arabs in the former British Mandate and before that in the Ottoman Empire. Indeed the original Palestinians included Jews who carried passports issued by the administrations of the Palestinian region by the British. If you study the issue honestly, you learn that the jews who emigrated to the area and are now living in the area were refugees not settlers. Certainly not colonialists from European countries where they had to leave due to antisemitism.
