Most likely the courts valued the cops life over the girlfriend's and unborn childs life..that's society for you..one life is no less important than the next life because All Life Matter's
It wasn't just any cop he killed. He killed a woman who genuinely cared about cleaning up the streets. She had a big heart and we were lucky to have her protecting our children before she was murdered.
The officer he killed lived in my parents neighborhood. She had a house with a pool , she had just got married . Her life was just starting and was taken away suddenly . So sad .
The fact that she was a newlywed just makes her death even more tragic. All the testimony about her, speaks volumes of her amazing character, and contributions to her community. I'm sure your parents, and other neighbors miss her dearly. 🙏🕊️

Unfortunately it doesn't work that way. The average time a prisoner spends on death row is a decade. There's a lot of things that could happen in that time. The law could change and the death penalty could come off the table. The state could abolish it for several different reasons and it has now been known to be outdated. One main concern is convicting a wrong person and then yrs. later when technology has evolved even more that person could be proven to be innocent. If the state does away with it he will stay in prison for the rest of his life with no chance of parole. I strongly believe his sentence will be carried out. It takes time to change the law. He is an evil person.
I’m a little confused. This judge said that all of the counts he was sentenced to for the murder of officer Clayton are consecutive to the sentences he got for killing Ms. Dixon and her unborn child. So how does the death penalty get applied since he was not sentenced to death for that other conviction?
All other charges run concurrent with the sentence he received for the Dixon murders ( the life sentences plus additional years) because they are all life without parole. However, the death penalty he received for the Clayton murder trumps all and that will ( in the legal world) be carried out first. Of course in the real world, that may take upwards of 20 years and if he doesn't die before then, the state will kill him. It is Florida and usually appeals go through rather quickly down there or they use to. Hope this answers your question.
It's legal procedure. He will die LONG before his other sentences, including the life sentence, is carried out... that is unless they make the death penalty illegal again. Hey... maybe Joe Biden and the democrats will find some disgusting way to let him off... thinking it will get them more votes from the black community they have been using for so long now! Democrats allowed people almost just like Markeith Loyd to riot, loot, steal, burn businesses and residences down, and even murder people including a police officer, and even told police departments to stand down during the summer riots of 2020. In other words, "let them go on with their chaos, because it may help us win the White house and keep congress by making our opponents look bad, and making people believe they "need us""... when it was those very democ-rats who caused and allowed all of that chaos in 2020. Notice, now that democ-rate are running everything (into the ground) there has [magically] been no more riots and civil unrest? When are unscrupulous, deceptive, lying, cheating, stealing democrat politicians (along with a few do-nothing republicans) going to be tried for their crimes against an entire nation and it's Constitution? Aside from the above... I hope this man gets to know his creator, apologizes for his crimes against humanity, and repents for his sins before he is executed. If he thinks jail and even electrocution is bad, nothing on this earth comes close to hell for eternity! It's tough to do, but I say prayers for this man's soul. His sentence and time he serves before death is nothing compared to forever!
The last count the judge read was actually count 1. Count 1 is the death sentence. So all the others are consecutive to that sentence. So consecutively, he'll get the death sentence, then life in prison, then a bunch of years for the other three counts. All in all, if the sentence for count 1 is carried out, the others become moot other than being a matter of record. However, if he receives a stay for any reason, the next one up would be the life sentence. Either way he'll die in a prison.
@@millernsl I know it’s somewhat garbled but starting @3:14 the judge states that all of the sentences imposed for the killing of Clayton are consecutive to the sentences he got for killing Dixon.
Sorry to say. I don't wish anyone to die. But this guy deserves everything he gets. He's not mentally ill, he's just evil, he knows exactly what he was doing. Thank you so much judge and the jury that convicted him.. His girlfriend and unborn baby wasn't a cop but he still murdered them. The cop he killed was a good Cop but he still murdered her!! A LIFE FOR A LIFE!!
both deaths in this case was sort of accidental and self defense for real if you listened to what lead up to the events. I would not have sentenced him to that extent. This is overdoing it.
Yeah. Matter of record and also a failsafe if the death sentence gets overturned or an execution is stayed for whatever reason. The next sentence in the consecutive line is a life sentence.
@@871jamie The fact you have to ask that question shows that you do not know, understand, or respect GOD. Every thing and person has its season and appointed time. Otherwise why would it snow only in Winter Why is it hot only in spring and summer. Every thing and person has its own purpose for an appointed time. We are guaranteed eternal life in Christ not on this Earth soon passing away. Some people pass away because they have fulfilled what GOD has called and assigned for them to fulfill on this Earth in the flesh and once that's done they go on to live eternally. Others pass away out of disobedience and disregard to GOD. HE is constantly nudging our hearts minds spirits away from peril flesh and sin that can kill us but it is up to us to listen and heed when HE cautions us. There are plenty of parents who can attest to this fact that have lost their children and they spent countless times warning and guiding them and it fell on deaf ears. So it is much the same with GOD and us. But Debra died for a cause, died to serve a purpose to unite communities, to show not all cops are terrible, and to shed a much greater light on an issue that everyone everywhere was struggling with nation wide.

Whereas I don't believe the death penalty is an appropriate punishment in many cases, I have zero sympathy for this callous and extremely dangerous individual. I'm glad he's punished.
He not only killed that cop he killed his girlfriend and unborn child. Lets not forget that. I feel like his sentencing if any would be non existent if it was just the girlfriend and kid. Life is a life. The punishment should be the same. He deserved everything that happened to him. He’s a monster.
What he recived life sentences for those murders. That's pretty in-line with similar cases. Murder/assault on emergency responders will always have enhanced penalties. You have to protect the people who respond to emergency situations, or no one will sign up to do it.
@@Sosoliz okay sorry about that. But yes even if they plead guilty they'll get three appeals and that's why they end up on death row for as long as they do

I suffered traumas too but it makes me a better stronger person,he's just plain evil from birth i don't know as to why from that girl found out his background and attitude she didn't called it quits, from they were in that car together i realized he's a no good her mother sense evil and warned her she didn't listen now she's gone how sad,smh what a wicked heartless brute
when she says "sentenced" he looks up, when she says "death" he has so few reactions, yet there are a few, id assume he had hope bcuz the way he looked up, but when death was heard, he went full psychosis. His eyes were seeing death but not his.
Praying for you BLUE and all those suffering from these tragedies. Only other tragedy here, is it will take years for the death penalty.. while taxpayers feed and house monsters like this! I think they should start execution process the same day the judge rules. Put that other wasted money towards new ways to help make communities better! New kid programs, community family events to give kids and adults something to do or get involved in.. thinking out loud.
Why is it horrible? Murdering a law enforcement officer is always the highest offence one can commit. Killing a pregnant woman is more horrible than killing "just" a woman? Maybe yes, on a human level, but the law punishes harsher when it's a law enforcement officer and I don't understand why you find it horrible.
Imagine the possibility: Deborah is a small girl, watches an unarmed child of her race getting gunned down by authorities, decides to be a cop for her people, and then, this...
I understand what you're saying and so many words you're just saying this black woman once wanted to be a cop because of the crime that she was seeing in her environment all to get killed by someone from the same culture and it is incredibly sad
@@mosprophecies5250 for some reason I got a notif from here only today so it's a late response, but yeah. that and stopping sht like "Oh I thought he was holding a gun so I filled him with bullets", just by being there, as another cop. who knows, maybe she'd already saved couple of kids by then from being killed for no reason...
Such a sad story. He deserves it. But a few officers who lined up as he was crawling to them, and took turns gang kicking him in the head till his eyeball broke, you should be removed from the force immediately. Everyone who handled this disgusting case is just as disgusting it seems. The law officials were angry, emotional, and were and acted entirely like a gang here, not police. The law failed horribly and horrifically. Markeith deserved what he got through the justice system, but the police involved need to be incarcerated immediately
He received multiple life sentences in that case. The jury did not recommend death. Even if this death sentence gets overturned, he will die in prison. Never ever getting out as all of the life sentences he has from the first case and this case are all consecutive.
Same sentence he delivered to Sade, her unborn child & Ofc. Clayton. I guess it's appropriate except for the fact that his sorry behind will live behind bars for years. What a piece of work.
For salvation, we just need to follow the way they did it in Acts? They were baptized in water for the removal of sins and filled with the Holy Ghost. Here's why! The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. If we are to follow him, we must do the same thing. Death= repentance, Burial = baptism, and resurrection = being filled and rising again from the dead. That's what Acts 2:38 is. We must obey the gospel, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that OBEY NOT THE GOSPEL of our Lord Jesus Christ... Matthew 7:21-23, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOETH THE WILL OF MY FATHER which is in Heaven. St John 3:3-5, EXCEPT a man, be born of WATER AND OF THE SPIRIT, he cannot enter into the kingdom of GOD. We can't come up with our own gospel. Galatians 1:6-9, But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Don't be cursed. One way for all people. Jews, Gentiles, and Samaritans. Our salvation has to match up with the scriptures and no scriptures on the subject can be taken away. Eternity is TOOO long to be WRONG! st, John 5:39, Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. The gospels show what Christ has done on the cross for us. The book of Acts shows us the beginning of Christ's Church and how to enter the Church, obeying Acts 2:38. The letters were written to the Church to show us how to behave now that we are born again into the Church. It's better to walk alone than to walk with a crowd going in the wrong direction. Are we supposed to follow the teachings of the apostles? Acts 2:42, And they continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrines. Ephesians 2:20, We are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone. Don't get Titus 3:5 mixed up with James 2:14-26, about WORKS. One is a WORK of your OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS OR GOOD DEEDS and the other is a WORK OF FAITH OR OBEDIENCE TO GOD. One is letting you know that there are no Works we could have done to make Christ want to die on the cross for us. Romans 5:8, But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. The other is about believing and being obedient to God because you believe. Faith without WORKS OR OBEYING GOD IS DEAD. James 2:14-26. Noah believed and then OBEYED OR WENT TO WORK BUILDING THE ARK. Now that Christ already paid the full price for our salvation we have to attain it by obeying his way to receive it, Acts 2:38! There is no sinner's prayer. Nowhere in the bible in this church age does it state to accept the Lord Jesus as your savior and you are saved. Mark 16:16, he that believes and is baptized shall be saved. FAITH WITHOUT OBEDIENCE TO GOD WILL BE IN VAIN. God bless you
@@mrd3016 Lol. I wish I could show you all the people that thank me and enjoy reading it. Only the devil and those that work for him don't want souls to be saved. I'm not mad at you because I look past you and see the devil using you. He wants your soul. I pray for you and your family that none of you end up in hell. Eternity is way too long to be wrong. If you would take the time to really search God out and experience the Holy Spirit, you will see and know the truth. If you rather listen to the devil, then that's your choice. Being that eternity is so long, and you don't get another chance once you leave here, it makes good sense to at least see if I'm wrong or not. When I pray I could feel the presence of God and I see his glory from time to time. I didn't just start believing in God. I wouldn't believe in a God you can't talk to and never get an answer from. We all have to make our own choice. Already you lied when you said NO ONE READ WHAT I POSTED. All it takes is one lie to end up in hell.
The problem here is that when he killed his ex-girlfriend, or girlfriend at the time, together with her baby because, according to his testimony, he had only protected himself, he was "released" to commit another murder. Why was he not directly sentenced to life imprisonment at that time? If the court had decided better, it would never have come to this. If a "normal" person dies, the reaction is harmless, but if an officer is killed, the death penalty is pronounced. Can someone explain to me what is wrong here?
What's wrong is that you don't know anything about this case at all. He killed his pregnant girlfriend and BEFORE he could be caught for it, he murdered Sgt. Clayton. He was never "released".
He killed his girlfriend and was on the run at the time he murdered the cop. That’s the whole reason why he murdered the cop, because he was wanted for the murder of his ex and she was trying to apprehend him. Obviously if he had been caught for the first murder he’d have been in prison. But he was on the run when he killed the cop
