I had a neighbor in Texas, who grew up in Oklahoma. She was Native American (Cherokee)who made fry bread for us. She used biscuits & quartered them...dropped into hot oil & fried. Is this like Arizona?
Don't ever stop cooking please! The two of you in the kitchen trying new recipes, the competition, the family atmosphere well the whole nine yards it's perfect! The haters can kiss your grits! 😂
Don't worry, Dan. We never thought for a moment that you guys were professional chefs (: I really enjoy the interplay between you guys. Loulou has gotten more comfortable, I think, and she is much more assertive then when you began the channel. To my mind, this makes you guys a better match and more entertaining (: Do you think your grandchildren are paying attention to the fact that you are cooking together? You are excellent role models for them.
Next week I'll expect you to be calling a knife a "ka-nife" after all that salmon talk - you telling Alexa to shut up made me laugh!!! I'm glad there's no chance of haters running you guys off, they are ridiculous!! Too many of us enjoy watching you cook and the family get together afterwards!! 😃🥰
Please don't let people have you stop cooking. I look forward to my Thursday cooking with Dan and Lou one of my favorite things during the week ... love y'all. Also thanks for being apart of the time out Tuesday that was epic
I'M ANITA: I luv how y"all take chances with cooking new stuff. I wished I were more like that. I don't like a lot of spice or salt but I would've tried a bite. Always Great to see Family together and eating, talking and laughing. I know it's a mess to cook and clean-up and it takes a lot of money buying the stuff to make. Thank you Dan and Lou, you both work so well together and you clean as you go. Luv from Tenn. God Bless Y'all and God Bless All the Animals
Telling Alexa to shut up was hilarious. I smarted off at my husband under my breath and Alexa smarted off back and I said" Alexa repeat that" she said said " There's nothing to repeat so there!" What? My daughter and husband were laughing so hard! I guess I am not the only smart a** in the house.😂
Dan, I burst out laughing when you measured the salt, leveled it off over the bowl with your finger and then poured the rest in the bowl! The amount you put in is the same amount you started with! Glad your both going to keep cooking.
I don’t know how other kitchens operate, but it’s a lot of trial & error at my house!🤣 Over the years, cooking gets easier, but I don’t think any of the recipes stay like the original - everything gets tweaked according to family taste … I like that you’re adventurous ❣️ That’s odd that the salmon was fishy - I’ll bet it tastes different fresh-caught…
I love that you guys do “real people “ cooking! Those “professional “ chefs are to intimidating. I love the interaction between you two and even the goof ups.
Over 50+ years living in Alaska, I enjoyed this one. Yes, the dip is everywhere. You did a great job on the salmon!! We had it at least once a week. Still do winter in Arizona. Only fresh caught no farm raised.❤
Do NOT stop cooking you both a the highlight of my week I have made a couple recipes my hubby loved them......I have watched your family for 6 years and love every one of you
Alaska salmon minus the l. It is silent salmon is very good if it is fresh. I also will not eat salmon patties like your dad like Papa. That stuff is gross but fish the way Dan and Luke cooked it. Is very good. And I never seen or thought about that salmon dip. But I will have to for sharing you're cooking with us. Please do not stop if they don't want to learn how to cook. Bacon, go some fast food places to eat. I like your cooking shows. Thank you very much, Brenley. You are growing up so fast and beautiful you will be An awesome big sister❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊
Lissa knows. In Alaska they live off the land and can every season. The grocery store prices are double and sometimes triple. Alaskan's know how to stock pile. Big thumbs up to her. She can teach you a thing or two about survival in that beautiful state! I watch Sommers in Alaska for fellowship and Simple Living Alaska that are truly off grid. You're doing great content as well.
Don't let anyone stop you from doing what you want to do. I really like your cooking videos and your mini herd is awesome. I told you from the start that I would watch you watch paint dry. I love y'all and you and Lou are awesome together ❤❤❤❤❤
Love Salmon. Eat it regularly. We go Upstate NY in the fall and salmon fish. Love smoked salmon. Big NY thing is smoked salmon, cream cheese on a bagel. Salmon with hollandaise sauce, honey mustard salmon, Cajun, etc. 😂🤣 yes pronounced Samon with silent L.
Whoever would say you shouldn’t cook… they need to get lost and stay off your channel. You two are fun and it’s actually a breath of fresh air watching you both.
Love watching your cooking shows! Can y'all please pray for me today? My husband passed away 6 years ago today and I am having a tough time today. Watching the cooking show today is a welcome distraction for me.
I’m bummed when I sit down in the evening to watch y’all and you haven’t put anything on here yet. Whether it be cooking or outside I just enjoy you both. So don’t give either one of them up please! Thanks guys. I’ve learned some and have laughed a lot. You’re just fun loving people.
Looked delish!! Just from a humorous look at it. Would, could, behalf, calve, walk, half, stalk, talk, walk, yolk, and salmon are words with silent L's.
Good morning Dan and Lou🥶☕☕☃️❄️I love Salmon cooked many ways! They look amazing, and delicious! Now i want to go buy some salmon, yummy 😋You both continue being you, its your personalities, your uniqueness, your life that makes the show🤗 Thank you for sharing🥰
I’m not a person who likes fishy fish. My dad makes salmon on the grill but he puts it on a piece of wood (bought at the store). It’s good. I think trying different ways if cooking it, Lue might like it. Don’t stop cooking!!!!! I’m not here for a professional chef, I’m here bc I enjoy you guys. I like you all, the food, and entertainment.
Your entire family is beautiful and you both are blessed. Your extended family with Pop and Gi are beautiful too. You too belong together when cooking.
The L is silent. I'm in Seattle where seafood is a big deal and fresh. People fish all the time for Salmon, crap and shrimp here. They will fish in the Puget Sound. Seafood is awesome around here. But as far as I know the correct way to say Salmon is with the L silent. And yes keep cooking. I like watching you guys. Love you guys.❤️
I have to be in the mood for any kind of fish. Salmon is a very STRONG tasting fish. 💖❤💘💝💓I love watching your videos, thank you for sharing and have a great day!
Good morning! Here in Indiana we are famous for our breaded pork tenderloin sandwich..in order to understand its appearance and appeal you have to Google it.. and for dessert, it is our sugar cream pie! Where I am in Northwest Indiana right on Lake Michigan, my favorite is pan fried lake perch with hush-puppies and slaw, and for dessert strawberry rhubarb pie
With the Kamado Joe grill/smoker while using the icommand, you can use wood or charcoal briskettes and still adjust temperature with your phone. It's the only true non pellet smoker with that option. Check it out, friend ✌️👍
In its entry for the word “often,” Webster's New World College Dictionary lists two correct pronunciations -- one with a T sound and one without. That tells you that both pronunciations as correct.Jan 17, 2022
Dan was too funny measuring out the salt! Made it level right into the bowl.😂 My blood sugar & sodium levels went up just watching what the ingredients were in there.😳😮😂
Buddy is hysterical. I finally watched his "Hiboy Cowboy" video and laughed myself silly. Every time Lou said, "sal-mon" I laughed. She has the courage of her convictions, that much I'll say.😊
Too bad some people can’t be happy unless they are criticizing. They enjoy hurting feelings and trying to drag others down to their level. I like every video you do. Love the cooking and really love your animals.
For AZ. Fry Bread is a Native American Indian Fry Bread Taco. All kinds of topping. My go to is just like a tostada. Refried pinto beans, shredded cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, salsa. Some people put the beans, ground beef or shredded beef green or Red chile. Then you can make it sweet. Put honey, or drizzle chocolate, or powdered sugar. Best eaten fresh. When Fry Bread sits all day it gets tough.
Please don't stop the cooking. I enjoy cooking myself and get such a kick out of the two of you in the kitchen. Dan - you had me cracking up when you measured the salt. You leveled it off but you dropped the excess in your bowl and then dumped in the measured amount. I think it's a great thing that you try new things and share it all with the family. If practice makes perfect - then it won't be long. 😄❤
You saw that? So did I 🤯. I laughed when he leveled off the salt into the bowl & poured the other salt in too. I wonder how many other people saw that? That's probably why it was salty tasting.
I love salmon and I can tell by the recipe that I would have loved your salmon also and I was I was actually salivating at the idea of Lyssa's dip, smoked salmon is the best ❤. Thanks for sharing your cooking show with us!! Enjoy your blessed day XXXO 💕😁
The talking is a morrow thing. All you guys talk and I love listening to everyone of y’all. Dan even argues with Alexa 😂 😂😂😂😂 Dan y’all keep on cooking I love it.
Ooh, I love salmon. I especially love smoked salmon and cream cheese on a toasted bagel. It's on my list to find some now! Salmon is a power food, for sure! Yummy!
Who was crazy and asked you guys to stop cooking. I look forward to cooking with Dan And Lou every Thursday. Gosh somebody always has to be a P-Pat. ♥️♥️♥️
I am not a fish eater but my mom and hubby loves Salmon but they like butter and a tad of lemon and bake in oven. Always a easy meal to cook! We are true southerners cause they eat fish with grits.
I don't think I've ever met anybody who hasn't had salmon. I love all seafood. I live in the PNW and we do a lot of salmon fishing and crabbing. We also eat a lot of oysters ( which you probably don't like) and clams. Looked really good. We don't buy anything from the store. The oysters we get right from the bay where they're harvested. Dan you would have a good time fishing here. Enjoy
