1st off Congrats. I agree with Petercasper224. Now you can touch everything coming down the pipe. You know NOT Only the product need to improve but Heavenly sakes the customer support. It me 49+ emails and a year to get a part back. (Not to sound Neg but a sample is needed). I can see how your plate is over flown. The best part for you is that now you must feel like you have that special purpose for something we love. Good for you! 👍
Dennis, glad to hear you're developing a direct connection with Toyan and possibly a couple other manufacturers of these engines. I think it may also benefit you and others to try to collab with JohnnyQ90, mainly because of his impeccable micro-machining skills for building improved versions of various parts. Between the two of you, a lot of glaring problems with these motors could get fixed, even before they leave the factory! (more) From what I've seen Chuan Qi is still the top of the heap as far as quality is concerned. Toyan can probably eventually get there with some better quality control, and input from you as to what works and what doesn't for a mini-engine capable of 11,000+ rpm. Looking forward to hearing about how things progress. Now go get some sleep big guy! Sounds like you're burnin' the candle at both ends!😄👍👍

I would recommend a sort of “option parts section”. For instance to make improvements to known issue areas on the Toyan stuff for starters. I have a Toyan V8 I’m still building at my own pace but I dare not ask opinions or assistance on the 1/4 scale engines page on F/B for instance. All you get there is haters telling you that you shouldn’t be buying Toyan instead of positive troubleshooting opinions. On the Stirlingkit kit page is hit or miss getting knowledgeable support. Me being a toolmaker by trade puts me in a position to evaluate Toyan products and for what you pay you get a great deal. Still I can see the frustration some folks would have. The language barrier needs to be worked out too. I would revisit the Toyan catalogue to see what improvements/support to existing customers can be made available
nice work Dennis but i will never buy something else from toyan because i was the one that told them the L440 needed a centre bearing and also sent them pics of how to do it and never got any thanks for it or got one of the new engine
I got my 78cc v8 about a month ago the ignition box will not start it even though the plugs fire outside the engine they will not fire when under the combustion pressure trying a new ignition box and it fired up immediately but does not run the best. It is very tight when cold it is hard to turn over by hand also all the ignition wire in the distributer are loose, they are not crimped will that cause problem. Now I am trying to prove to Stirling kits that the ignition box doesn't work which is hard. ATM will not buy any more of these things I have a 32cc 4 cylinder that I got 3 years ago it is a book end and I think this will be a book end as well.
Yes I am using 3s lipo I am beginning to think the carb settings are way out the book says 1.5 turns but I prime it runs for 2 3 minutes but then stops then it is hard to start the starer motor burnt out the other day yesterday as I said the engine is hard to turn over by hand.
