I’m more concerned with sending them to prison than having them pay the money. With crowd sourcing a lot of these cops can easily pay off the fines... which is still better than tax payers covering fines, but still... The only way this is going to curtail these situations is sending clearly criminal offenders to prison and strip them of their ability to be police anywhere else.

Even better, the cops tried to have this kid's lawyer held in contempt because he released the body camera footage. Get this, they said the lawyer was violating the victim's privacy because there was a minor involved. They had the balls to say that after strip searching him in public. It's absolutely incredible how hypocritical and just straight up evil they are.

Definitely not. Breonna Taylor was asleep, Harry boyfriend called 911 that intruders were trying to get in, fired 1 shot and he was arrested for attempted murder. All cops need new body cams that CANNOT BE MANIPULATED. 18 hr battery life, and fully charged before shifts. They need to be checked after every shift, and should violations be found on footage, action should come immediately to the officer.

When I was 16, we were dragged out of my buddies car by 3 cops. We were young Long Hairs in Jean Jackets. One of them took a 15 yard run at my buddy, wound up and decked my friend. Knocked him to the ground. I freaked right out a started yelling at them only to have the other two come after me. They caught me but I didn't get anything as bad as that one punch my friend took. An ambulance showed up, not called, but they had driven by and saw my friend on the ground. Paramedics started treating my friend and the cops backed off and went to there cars. I continued yapping , said we're getting Lawyers. The last cop leaving just turned to to me and said "Go ahead, it's your word against ours... and your word don't mean shit." Then he added, "Face it , we've got the biggest street gang." And it sunk in, he was right. That was 42 years ago.

The cops wrestled the guy to the ground and took his phone then lied about it on the report. But the resturant had its own surveillance camera which told the true stroy. One cop was arrested and fired. And the charges against the guy were dropped.

This story right here is a perfect example of why it is sooooooooo important to video record cops. Whether you're on the street, as a witness or in a car getting pulled over, LIVE STREAM their ass onto FB. No matter what they say, DO NOT STOP VIDEO RECORDING them. Also, they can not confiscate your phone, regardless of what excuse they give you without a warrant.

iPhone has a setting where you can tell Siri that you’re getting pulled over and it will automatically start recording -and can’t be turned off. I’ve also just ordered a dash cam that fits around the rear view mirror. Don’t trust them to have their body cam ON.

The whole cavity search thing needs to be examined. I went to jail for two weeks once. Everybody had to spread their cheeks. They do that shit in prison too. A guy I went to jail with was in the news because he dot accidentally cavity searched twice. He sued reasonably so. Imagine having strangers just open up and look inside your ass like that. It's humiliating.

Someone needs to advocate for this poor child, he needs a lawyer, by law the officers are required to take him into custody if suspected of wrongdoing and wait for a parent or guardian before he can even interrogate the child this whole situation is not only a violation of the law, that officers are guilty of violating a minor not only should they be fired they should be put on the sexual offenders list and be forced to pay the family restitution, taxpayers shouldn't be paying for people who believe they are above the law. Anything they discovered on the minor is required to be dismissed, without a guardians permission they have no authority. As well any muted bodycam footage should automatically dismiss the officers testimony.

Spent 5 months in jail for what? Strip searched in public! Searched the house with NO search warrant. Did they really FIND drugs that belonged to the boys? That's a disgrace.

laws vary state by state, and usually carrying a gun, at least when it is concealed, requires a license.

A lot of states don’t allow you to transport loaded guns. You have to have the ammo and gun separated.

When cops turn off the cam or audio, courts should give deference to witness testimony.

It should be assumed Cops are on their break anytime their cameras get turned off. Meaning they do not get paid for taking breaks and are not acting in an offical on duty capacity, but acting as a civilian and forfeit any protections given to on duty Cops. By passing that regulation alone it would give financial punishment and remove that immunity thing all active duty Cops are given.

I am very happy that a Judge took action to release this young man. However, how in the name of Justice could he have been convicted on an illegal search that no one consented to? This police overreach is the biggest threat to American society, in my opinion! Until Judges start handing out harsher penalties for corrupt police practices and violations of their rights, nothin* is going to change!
